Most unorganised place.Empoyees behaviour is so bad that they behave with public like beast. .did not listen problem carefully. Gov. Waste huge money for their salary. Shame on them. They closed office at 2.30. I visit at 3.pm security told me that office is closed.

It is situated behind Lal bazaar. Office is situated 1st floor. If you enter this office you have to take prior online permission. But the time mentioned in permission paper is not matter, my time was 11am but security guards is to enter me at 12pm.All work is done with in 45 minutes. You have to write an application. Be aware of man who offer you to write application for a RS 50 charge.

You have to take prior appointment before entering the office. You can take appointment online. The process is simple and should be completed by 45mins. You should have 2.5hrs in hand to complete all the process from your scheduled time as waiting period may be high depending on the situation.

I went to RPO for surrendering my IC Book issued from RPO Delhi. My flight return ticket was on same appointment day. My document process was not complete that time and I was told that I will receive surrender letter by post or email as I need to return airport . After few days I got email regarding IC surrender declaration form . I submitted and and got the surrender certificate by post which was sent by speed post.Thank you concern staff.

I visited here on 22nd December after taking appointment , appointment is must , then at window they ask about quary and given me 1 form to fill it then I move to other way where 1 guy collected that form from all person and after 20 minute ,he said to all go to Home your problem will solve today , if any have passport that return back to rpo then have to give clearification to officer ,Never argue with any one at counter , no will give any answer , if any one have problem regarding passport you have to just come and by the evening your query will solveI been there for correction and reverificationSame day my correction happened and send for police verification , on 27 police verification report submitted and on 28th December my passport send for printing , and same day dispatchedSo if any have problem just go there your problem will solvedIf u call and mail to rpo , nothing will happen so just come and solve your problem

Its been more than a month that my babys passport is pending. i keep on calling on there three numbers but not a single number is reaching. I dont know how will i reach out to them... i am sending mail also to them but no response.

Regional passport office of Eastern zone of India, one of the famous office under Ministry of External Affairs (Govt. Of India). Every officer are very helpful and they cooperated very well with me. All my verification process have done within 45 min. This is the sign of simple, digital & incredible India.

Its situated in a congested place with little room to spare before colliding with road-side vendors.Entrance is too narrow to pass two people side by side or crossing each other.

This place is usually served by some central govt employees and rest are TCS(Tata Consultancy Services) people. I know it as some of my colleagues have their friends working at the passport office. The people working here and not entire govt type(laidback).The office is always busy as it is located at one of the busiest routes of kolkata.Just submit your online form here and rest is done by police.This place is just on the opposite sidewalk of the Writers Building.

Poor service of RPO describes the reason why India is so left out country as compared to other devoloped countries.Its been 60 days since I applied for my passportVerification is done 10days after submitting the application still my passport is not despatched though it it written it will be despatched within 30 days after verification on the website. Pathetic is the word for the kind of service by the government of India.

I have applied through PSK, Bankura. I got an objection letter from passport office mentioning that clear photograph is not available. Other guys who also applied through post office PSK, faced the same objection. My question is why the technical problems of PSK, need to bear by applying person. Even in my case, I have carried the photographs with me, but they did not take it that time. However always general public suffers, so I am not different to that. To solve the objection, I have to take appointment from RPO, through log in to the portal. Then clicking on last option view saved application and selecting the ARN. You have to choose the centre and then date, it will show 3 dates. You can only select first one. After selection, if you cancelled the date, it will allow you the second one in sequence.My sequence no is 1 of batch 1. You have to take print out of the appointment, available beside the appointment link.When I appear here on the particular date, there I find that already a que is there outside passport office. But dont worry, the guard will allow you to sit as per sequence almost (they will mention bench). All the processing will start, when govt employee appears (mostly after 10 am). They will follow the sequence. Initially all the persons are allowed to sit in a hall. In front of that hall, there are some windows. The person behind that window will process your query and provide you a filled format, where you have to sign only. After that they they will allow you to sit in a lobby. Where two staffs will guide you again to change your place and sit outside of a office (5 chairs are there). There in the office, the official put a signature mentioning the objection only. It will not take time. But the waiting period is the main issue. After that you have to carry the paper and submit to the two staffs. They will told when and where to go. In my case, I have to wait until 12 PM. After that they allow me to enter one another office. There the official not accepted the photo, remember it passport size photo is not accepted. He is only allowing photo of size 3.5 x 3.5 . So come with this size photo, if you have issue on that.One good thing, no money is needed or asked as bribe for any of these proceedings. However I have to request for some time, to manage my photo from nearby studio. Thanks, he allows that. Then everything goes well. On 14th August, I have gone there. I have received my passport on 21st August. In between police verification took place at DIB Medinipur. They have taken money to process that. ( trust me, this is the traditional that they ask for it)

Very unprofessional people are present just outside the office. Beware of fake officials and cheaters. I was charged money by a supposed official lady to get an appointment at the PSK after I was asked to visit the RPO after some issue with smudged ink (for non proper printing) on my passport. Later I realized that I had to just had to issue my passport all over again and I could have got the appointment without paying her any money.

NEED TO CHANGE VENDOR, FROM TCS TO ANY OTHER VENDOR, BECAUSE THEY THINKS THEY ARE DOING GOVT JOB, NO ONE CAN RAISE A COMPLAINT AGAINST THEM IN ANYWHERE. MY HUMBLE REQUEST IS THAT PLEASE CHANGE THE VENDOR IMMEDIATELY TO GET PROPER SERVICE TO GET EXACT RESOLUTION IN A VERY GOOD MANNER.

Typical office culture of late coming by officers. I was given a slot of 0930 hours but nobody appeared even at 1000 hours. Local vendors said that to be a common practice in this office. Amenities like toilets, especially for ladies, are also in poor condition.

They Work very Slow already 3 Months gone While I have submitted my Application but no Process Yet. They dont even answer your Phone call.

Total worthless and hopeless place Ive ever visited. The people are unprofessional, they openly accept bribes, there are touts all around and youll face all sorts of hassles youve ever faced.They pay no heed whatsoever to the service quality and will be just as annoying as anything. They dont reply to your emails, whatever you write. They are the worst people youve ever encountered.Needless to say, India ranks at bottom of the passport index.

Excellent service received. I got my passport (Normal type application) in just 18 days including all saturdays and sundays. Since I needed the passport urgently I was a bit tensed and called them many times ...90% of the times they received my call and were extremely polite and helpful .A big thank you to the officials for the service provided .

Wait line is not long. And they do the work . I went twice they actually helped. Yes there are fake agents roaming on the street below the office. Dont get in the trap and ask in the enquiry whatever you need.

Godawful service!I was sent to A twice from B, because of a mistake they did while filling out the form. When I finally reached B, they had left for lunch. So for a job which barely needed 45 mins in a normal situation, had me sitting at the office for over 3 hours. The employees are both rude and unprofessional.

It is regional passport office where all the passport related work done. Specially for hold case or any dispute arise. But pray you dont need to come here as you wont able to understand what to do.

The staffs are superb and they know their job very well...used to complete a application within 20 mins.

I had a very nice experience about this passport office and its Regional Passport Officer, Mr Asit Bhattacharya, IFS, who was in charge of may other offices in Calcutta. I applied for a passport and Mr Bhattacharya did the passport in two days time, the day after my application for a passport. I do not know where he is now (if he is still working). He did a marvellous job for me.

My Passport was supposed to be granted on basis of Post-Police Verification, had written a mail communication to the Regional Passport Officer, Sh. Bibhuti Bhushan Kumar, but he is reluctant to the fact that after submitting Voter Card, Aadhar Card, PAN Card and Class 10th certificate along with Annexure-E, applicant is eligible for a Post-Police Verification Passport. Please find attached Reply from RPO Office. But excellent Service provided by TCS Staffs at PSK.

In contrast to PSK, Kolkata, this one is really awful. I went there to rectify my passport because my photo in passport was barely recognizable. They ask you to come at a specific time, but unfortunately no officials was there at that time, except security guards who let you in. Waiting area is just ok, thogh air-conditioned. Toilets are dirty and not cleaned regularly. Unlike PSK, there is no guiding boards only guards will guide you. Waiting time varies depending upon the nature of job.Dont forget to write an application stating your problem. They will ask you to write one and you have to go outside to buy cheap papers at premium rate.Many people said that there problem has not been solved despite visiting several times. I cant comment on this as my problem has not been solved yet and I have kept my fingers crossed.My final advice is, dont expect PSK like service here and always keep in mind that you are visiting an old fashioned Government office and prepare yourself accordingly.

West Bengal government is no good at handling its state . The government charges its citizens all kinds of taxes but is West Bengal providing us with similar or close to even satisfactory amenities . The roads are bad the system has loopholes , the police, the Passport verification officer (or should I call him an uneducated clerk) none are good for anything. The whole strike and bunds and Chanda or charity money exists just in Bengal and no other state ? Why is it so ? The traffic police is in no regulation. What are the so called government officials doing? Are they deaf or blind? What is their problem? A person who was born in Mumbai has to run around giving unaccounted cash (ghoos) to these uncultured officials to get a passport in Bengal ? Even though one has all the necessary documents and proofs in place, all submitted as required, one is harassed so much ? Why is this such an issue? Bengal will not allow any progress in its state because it is full of men who are lazy .

People behind the window is not very cooperative. Otherwise okay.

The security people are extremely rude, lead the game on their whims ,misbehave at their wish ,create rule as they want, shout with people with physical gesture. T.C.S work excellent. Again mismanagement starts in Section C,D,E where frustrated senior people are making mess of it...need more space for handling so many people in section C,D,E

Its very very important place n office for all whom r sent to visit from passport service center.

The employees are very slow with there works.There are 5 counters from which 2 are functioning. I dont know why the rest of the counters are closedWithout any reason.

Call the helpline no. 100 times.. 70 times the ring goes and they dont pick up. 28 times the phone says Busy. First time they tell u one way to get ur issue cleared. second time they tell u another kind of solution. Totally Confused guys. I dont know who appoints them to answer telephone.

01/09/2017 - Very bad service at Asansol PSK. Rude behavior, No resolution, No knowledge & Not helpful at all. Not blaming to all but the officer whom I interacted with must be professional, Pathetic Experience.

I was very glad when I experienced that the whole process for submission of my old passport on 1st January 2014 for a new 60 page passport within the expiry date took 40 minutes. The persons in each of the counters were very polite, cooperative, trained, interested to work and professional. I received my new passport in four days time. I need to visit again in early September 2016 for a new passport of 60 pages as the cover of earlier on has already separated from the book. I hope the same or enhanced level of services is still exists in the RPO Kolkata. We must have the same or improved level of services in all other services in the country specifically in Kolkata. I thank all the staff and officer who are associated with the processes. I hope the visitors will also cooperate.

Getting work done here without any reference/internal links is almost impossible and might take weeks. Employees are very short tempered and looks like they are irritated 24/7. Refrain from doing any mistake in passport application and ending up here.

1. The letters (Objection,Show Cause etc), sent from the RPO do not have any specific informationwhich is applied for any particular person. It has certain types of structure which are fixed. So,a person willing to contact with/come to RPO should know the issue correctly before coming to theRPO. If it is possible, Contact with the respective police station and try to know their responseand the reason.2. Read the rules of passport carefully which can be applied for you and try to understand what type ofdocuments will be needed for you to overcome the situation. Write a letter as the answerof the letter, sent by RPO. remember that what will you claim, your documents should support that.3. The rule of RPO is first come first serve. They mention in letters that 10 am to 2 pm is officehours. But if you really not want to waste your day, you need to waste your morning standing in thequeue in front of RPO.4. Try not to talk with the people who will tell you to write a letter by them giving some rupees. Takeextra loose pages (blank) with you if new answers is needed. Keep all the original documents with youand photocopies.5. your original id proof is mandatory to pass the entrance. If your answer and documents are sufficient thenit will be relatively fast. But the process is really slow here. After going through the process theywill inform what the next process is!

The worst phone customer service I have ever seen in my life. I called 30 times no one picked up the phone. After 31 times someone picked up the phone and said Hello, Hello two times like his tail set on fire and hung up the phone, not even tried to listen to the other side of the phone. India is changing but these people never change.

PSK was Good but this RPO sucks...They have coupon system which u have to collect from 6AM queued line....hey will start giving tokens from 8 am and the office will open @ 10 AM...They think ur time has no value...since they neither have any power other than harrasing ppl,they will put ur ass on fire at maximum limit...Keep calm...u will probably hit there only few time in ur entire life...u have to bare with the douchebags...unfortunately

Well I am giving this place one star because you cant give stars any lower that that. In a scale of -10 to 10, this place should get -10.The most unprofessional and disgusting place to get your issue solved. While the PSK at Ruby does an awesome job in helping people get their passports ASAP, these people - that is to say the entire staff - including the security people are arrogant and hell bent to be of no help unless of course you offer them some extra revenue in terms of cash. One needs to get a coupon from a counter that opens at 8 am in the morning. Then with that coupon one needs to stand in a queue for atleast 2-4 hours before one can actually reach the office. Mind you, the office only opens at 10 am. If you are amongst those who donot know the procedure of getting a coupon first hand, you have a surprise for you when you reach the counter after standing in the queue for nothing less than 4 hours, you need to come back another day collect a coupon from the counter that opens at 8 and get your issue solved. And dare you question them, they will not think twice before threatening you with security. And the story does not really end here. There is a contact information, a phone number and mail id provided in the RPO website. The mails are never answered. And if you are lucky enough to get to them through phone, they will never give you any information about this coupon system. So if you need to visit the RPO be prepared for rude arrogant stubborn and unethical staffs with behavious that can turn you mad.

I am very satisfied and happy with Passport seva kendra, who make it easy, secure and easy accesses to all.

This is the place where you get the worst service, worst treatment, most rude, corrupt and incompetent people.We have been standing in the queue for the last three days in order to respond to a frivolous issue that they have themselves created. First they will not give you token, when they give token, they will not give you time and when they give you time they will not co-operate.If you have enough money and do not care about the ethics, it may be easier to approach one of the innumerable touts outside the building as they promise to get your problem solved without you having to wait or having to worry.

Police verification is the worst things for passport. They are taking too much time and unlimited money.

Near the BBD station and Behind of LALBAZAR, TEA Board is nearby. To get your chance you have to reach there before 5am. Daily only 200 people are allowed to meet the officers (150 men & 50 Women).

If you are visiting regarding any doubts, query, document submission etc. please make sure that you reach there within 9am, though the official time is from 10am to 2pm. Tokens are issued within that without which you wont be able to do any actual job for the day.

This is the passport office & you can get the passport soon if all your legal documents are OK & verified.
