Good place nice ambience good for enjoy with friends but for some dishes prices are extremely high

Everything was good. Staffs are very friendly.Location is very nice. Very near to Grand Hotel.Drinks price is cheap, not so costly. For two people with drinks will cost you around 800-1000.Food was really good. Chicken was awsome. Please go and try this restaurant.After the covid they have very good hygiene system. They will clean your table in-front of you. So no worries.Recommend 🤘🏻

The ambience used to be good... i took my teenage sister here...the ambience didnt feel good....there was drinks on every table...basically its a place where people visit mainly to drink wine beer vodka....no offence to anyone....I had chicken chowmien which was fairlt good....but...the price has increased as compared to last time!!!

Old school ambiance with delicious chinese cuisine

Good food, surprisingly I just asked for a cup of coffee.. And I got it..

Good food. But avoid bottled water. Rs 50 charged for a bottle of kinley which has m.r.p. of 20.

It was indeed a good experience with a quite lovely ambience . The food quality was nice compared to the other Chinese restaurant...but it may seems like the price is slightly high compared to the amount of food they provide...but it was managable...as for us...but it may differ people to people...as how much they intake..but it was a good experience as this is my 4th time in this restaurant and first time after the lockdown...

It is a nice place to hang out but unfortunately due to covid 19 restrictions the restaurant closes at 7:45 pm

My experience was good in this Bar cum Restaurant. Location wise its great for communication. Very near to Esplanade Bus Terminus and 100meters from metro. The bar is just beneath the famous Grand Hotel. They have two types of sitting arrangements. The former is just after the bar entrance and without AC. The later one is in upstairs accommodates only 9 tables but is having AC facility. The waiters are generally seen good and comforting the visitors. The quality and quantity of Dishes are reasonably good, but price is slightly higher on the side. All types of Drinks are served here and costs almost at per with the other bars. Next time if you want to lighten your enjoyment, can visit this old bar in Dharmatala.

Location is extra superb at Grand Hotel Archade, New Market area. Staff are courteous and friendly. Food is awesome and very very reasonable. Taste extraordinary. Strongly recommend.

Nice ambience, good service... Food is delicious. Beer with Fish finger and Fish manchurian (dry) is a must for anyone.Plus pocket pinch for two is around 1200 (including liquor) so thats kinda cheap.

When you are sure enough where and how to spend the lazy evening.Evening can be well spent with your group of friends or colleagues.One of the well known place in Kolkata, in one of the busiest place (Esplanade).What can be a better choice in this sultry summer than a chilled beer with some spicy and tasty chilli fish. Service was quite fast.It was a big space with ample sitting arrangments with ac and non AC being separated. Food quality is quite good and even the crowd pull was quite good in weekdays.

Good place, women are allowed. Food quality also good. Rates are not too much expensive, it is economic for your pocket. Any type of liquid are available, jack Daniels is the highest price and old monk is lowest drink at this bar. You can order other veg and non veg food which is good quality.

During the days at Kollata, I used to prefer this place more than Olypub or regular bars of Park Street. This place has its own essence which is mostly of the old Calcutta.I like to have beer accompanied by chilli chicken at this place. Finger fish and the fries, accompanied by Tartar sauce is also one of my favourites. From the main course I choose noodles and a chicken dish. They make great chicken stroganoff.The waiters are working there for long and I have few known waiters whom I love. They take care of me and my preferences. Such is the care that remind me atleast for once if I tend to have beers more than 3 or 4.Cheers and love to New Cathay.

The restaurant has two floors, the ground floor is non AC and charges less money than the first floor which has AC. The staff are courteous and professional. Food is good enough and overall its a cosy experience to dine here. Moderately priced, quite cheap in some cases too!

A quiet place. Situated in a prime location. Food is great. Not at all over priced. You can feel the ambiance of a British establishment. Liquor stock is good. Staffs are well mannered. No parking. Card payment available. No pork and beef.

They have smoking zone inside the restaurant. Washroom was clean. Near to metro station - Esplanade. Just under Oberoi arcade.

Its one of the old school establishments in the city from the time it was Calcutta. The lower flower serves as a non-AC, smokers zone in the bar, while the smaller top floor serves as an AC restaurant. The food is amazing, specially the Chinese preparations. Strongly recommend the prawn fried rice and chicken 65 or Garlic chicken. Its not the most aesthetic restaurant in town but still its extremely well maintained.

Traditional Kolkata style bar,Next to OberoiI visited this place on a rainy day, food quantity and quality is nice, ambiance is old say around 20-30 years old bar type.If you dont give importance to ambiance much then I would recommend this place.I sat around an hour and had chilly chicken and Budweiser. My bill amount was 650 approx.Have seen mostly college couples visiting this bar during the time I was there.

Casual place reminds you of old Kolkata

Very good old fashioned bar catering to the people of Kolkata for long. There is a large Non AC section downstairs and smaller AC section upstairs. All types of hard drinks are served along with sumptuous food including superb continental items. Service is good and prices just about moderate. Old world charm and the ambience will make a visit here very much remembered!!

Quiet, cozy place for good drinks and delicious food. Good staff, many food and drink choices. Separate arrangements for families/couples. I wouldnt advise taking children here. My favorite joint in Kolkata for relaxed enjoyment. Very reasonable prices too.

Service is awesome like we ordered 2 beer both were chilled. One beer get over but 2nd beer became normal and before we ask to change the beer waiter came from himself to serve and come to know that 2nd beer become normal he changed the beer from himself.Ambience is very good but little different than other restaurants like no AC in ground floor but have normal ceiling fan to keep the inside atmosphere of bar normal, 2 televisions inside both in opposite direction not to get bore and enjoy the time.Actually, it is old structure but well maintained.

Ive been twice already. Its so underrated. Total local food. Vegetable curry amazing. Be lucky and get served by No4 waiter. Hes the best and his service matches the quality of the food. Give it a try if you like real Indian food.
