Dakshineswar Kali temple is one of the famous place in kolkata. It is situated beside the River Ganga. There is always peace inside the arena of temple and everyone will find it. Due to covid 19 currently there are few restrictions present. Also Mobile phone, Camera, Electronic gadgets, Bags are not allowed inside the template arena. There is a Baggage and shoe deposit counter present beside template to help the visitors to secure their things. All the people who came to kolkata should visit this temple.

Very neat and clean Temple. About 16-20 KM away from Howrah and sealdah railway station.Better to reach there by train rather than opting public bus as option. (Time consuming) .Whenever you go there check about local trains. (I opted train from sealdah railway station at 6:35 AM) .Reached there at 7 AM. Then via Sky bridge you can reach at the gate of temple in approx 8-10 min.If you have luggage, there is the facility of locker room over there. 20 rupees for carry bags and 3 ₹ for mobile phone was charged by me. Shoes was also to submit ( 3₹ ) . However if you dont want to submit your belonging here you can place them in shop from where you are buying prasad. ( But at your own risk). You will find peace all around . No crowd. There is Hooghly river, you can take bath there. Scenes are good as shown in photos.Statue of Vivekanand ji is there, a nice place to click photos there. When I was there the painting of temple was in progress so I didnt click picture of 12 shiv temple over there.Apart from these, there is a Lord krishna temple as well. What I loved most here is peace and cleanliness. You will feel totally divine here. While returning I went to Bally ghat Railway station (20₹) then opted local train to howrah (₹5) .

It’s a fantastic place for the tourists except the extreme hot stone under their feet . My feet was burnt and got heat blisters🦶. The management should cover the hot stone in the summer season. No words to describe the divine power of Goddess Kali. One can visit Vellore math via boat or ferry by crossing the divine Ganga river and experiencing the lush green environment of Dakhineshwar Kali Temple. Beware of the small shop owners at the skywalk bridge. They will say they havent eaten or havent had a single customer in a day. Theyll say words like that to make you purchase pooja mishti and mala from their shop at a very heavy price. Dont get fooled by their words. There are a lot of shops at the end of the skywalk on temple premises. Where you can bargain also for the price.
