I visited Hotel Periyar on 16 September 2021, with my friends. We were having a party and the staff assured all freedom for us to enjoy. Air conditioner of our room wasnt working and they gave us a better room with a better view of river Periyar. The staffs are very friendly and humble. The food was excellent and I would recommend this to anyone who are looking forward to have a party. The balcony view of the periyar river was absolutely amazing.

They could improve the facilities. Bed linen is of small size. More sound proofing to be done as its on the highway side with continuous traffic. Sleeping becomes difficult

The recommendation has nothing to do with quality of food or of the rooms but due to lack of peace of mind you might feel during your stay.2. For Bachelors: Highly recommend. This place is probably the most popular in the vicinity for drinks and good food. The cleanliness is decent and so are the serving staff. Thats why the four star rating. We had a blast.3. For general drinking: Without a doubt, a good place to be. Girls, stay away. This is no Pub as in Namma Bangalore. You will be stared to death.

Its a nice and clean hotel having standard size room on the periyar side river. River view dlx room is realy nice. Room Service is also good. one of the best hotel in aluva. Only disadvantage is that it is on the By pass highway road so public transport is a problem. They have 2 - 3 autos outside the hotel most of the time but You will not get it every time outside. You have to cross the highway road which is full of traffic to get the auto. Its near to aluva metro station. Breakfast is very limited. Food quality and variety in restraurant is really good. overall it was a nice stay.

There is a bar on roof and in the area of the hotel. Its a river view and garden bar. A lot of people visit the bar everyday. The hotel is very close to Aluva metro station.

Worst Washroom Ive ever seen in a Bar of this nature.....wash room of Lawn! Never try to relieve yourself even during urgency! Worse than an unmanned public toilet! Unprofessional staff! Good not upto the standard! But a convenient and peaceful place other than weekends!

Very good. Very spacious. There are 2 conference halls and a rooftop banquet area where around a thousand people can gather. The river Periyar flows through just beside the hotel.

This hotel is good for all travelers. Neat and clean area and location is very good. Its locate nr. Metro rail station.

The room rates 1869 if you book directly and 1366 if booked online. If you decide to stay here better book online. For 1869 you get better rooms in Aluva. Rooms are average. Complementary breakfast is ok.

Rooms are expensive and not worth the money we pay.We got a room were the toilet stinks and the latrine was leaking.Soon we complained they gave us new room which was better.Parking area is good but they never provid any kind of lights there even though they knew customers who ad booked the rooms are yet to arrive.The complementary breakfasf they provided was unlimited and tastes good.Staff behavior was nice.Overall, if you wanna stay somewhere with security/saftey and can spend without much expectations you can choose hotel periyar.

A/ C hall to conduct small functions with 60 people is nice. Good ambience. Good customer service.On the valley of river. Near marthandavarma bridge. Easy access from main road. Metro station is very near. Private bus stand is only half kilometers away.

Hardly a two star hotel. But the proximity of this hotel makes it special. The view of river Periyar is awesome. Bar is attached to the hotel. But this could create a distraction for the guests staying in the hotel.

Worst bar. I went there for ambience but turned out to be worst, except the view, i felt i was in some kind of interior local bars of tamil nadu. Staff attitude was worst.

While myself with family and friends had to attend a marriage ceremony, we stayed in Hotel Periyar which is on the banks of River Periyar. Hotel has air conditioned rooms and also non AC rooms which are reasonably clean and cheap. Good non- vegetarian food is available in the restaurant. It is a bar attached hotel. On one side you get beautiful river view and on the east side you can see the NH brimming with vehicles.

A very good hotel, conveniently located, staff are a gem to help the stay get comfortable. Some improvements that will have the hotel give a 5 star rating is , some more options on Breakfast menu, have some infrastructure changes in bathroom and also to change the towels so that guest dont hurt their skin, but the staff tried their best to accommodate all the request. Good Kerala nadan food.. its a bit difficult to locate initially as Google maps may divert you.. parking space is less but the people manage it extremely well.. hats off to the chechis and chettans who are part of periyaar. Taste- its too good, especially prawns fry.

Only one plastic chair for two persons on Riverside balcony. Rs 550 extra for view. One stands one sits. No response to request for extra chair.Paid 2950.per day. No news paper in the room. Hotel could spend 5 rupees . Had to go to reception area to read newsStayed 5 nights. Same frugal breakfast. Limited variety. If you are eating other meals in the restaurant, try only the Kerala cuisine. Its good. Forget Italian and Chinese..Fresh towels felt like sandpaper. Rooms were clean House keeping Service was good . Reception personnel were helpful.Might not choose again.

The location is superb in the valley of Periyar. But the overall service not that much good. The huts are not even having a fan which is very disgusting especially in summer. The chairs are of average quality.

View out of the restaurant is great.its a waterfront place facing Aluva bridge. They have good area inside the facility. They provde AC/ Non AC rooms for reasonable rate.theres a conference hall to host your meetings. Staff is friendly and the hotel is maintained properly.

Good place to have a chilled beer staring at the periyar river. Best time is to go in the evening. You can enjoy the sunset while having a drink.

If you plan to roam around Cochin the it is the best place to stay( Around 16 km from Airport).You can call Yuber taxi to go anywhere without depending on any operator. It is located on the banks of periyar river and the river view AC rooms will be an excellent choice. The room is neat and clean with balcony .The river flows next to balcony and the view from the room is excellent.The food served was good and the staff was very help full. The hotel is attached with Beer/ Wine parlour. You may enjoy excellent wine collection in the comfort of your room.Overall its a worthy stay.

One of the oldest star hotel in Aluva, and still maintained well. Riverside dining is what I like the most. I must say, food quality is reasonably good, especially kerala meals. Nominal rates too.. I recommend this hotel to my friends..

One of my relatives stayed in this hotel in a river-facing room. The hotel is in the heart of Aluva town. The room was good and clean. It had adequate space for two people too. The balcony of the room had a good view of Periyar river and Marthanda Varma bridge. The complimentary breakfast was simple vegetarian fare (idlis, Appam and bread), but of good quality and taste. The hotel has a bar on the ground floor. One can also take a stroll in the hotel garden, which is by the side of Periyar river. The hotel is easily accessible by public transport system including metro, long distance train and buses (both private and Government run). Government buses (KSRTC) are available round the clock. The famed Aluva Siva temple and Uliyannoor temple are in the vicinity of this hotel.

Customer service and behavior is very bad

Place is good but not clean and food not to the standard.Staffs are not qualified professionals.Just like a local bar hotel but price like 3*.Building and surrounding are good. Can be improved by cleaning outdoor areas and by appointing professionals.
