Pretty decent place to stay, and quite inexpensive too. Although dont expect half a decent food from the restaurant, the staff were great, but the food couldve been better. Also its located in Palarivattom, pretty close to the city, if you dont mind walking a kilometer to get there.

The rooms are pretty decent. The walls in some of the AC rooms are peeling off and could use a fresh coat of paint. The suite is better though. The canteen food is limited to what they cook for the days meal. Although sometimes the food is nice, its mostly average. I wouldnt suggest helping yourself to the bread or cornflakes they have alongside regular breakfast.Final verdict: Decent place to stay when on a budget. Wouldnt suggest the canteen food.

Clean and hygienic. Beds are squeeky and hard but everything seems washed and cleaned. The decor and interiors are bare minimum.

It was a pleasant stay... The Youth Center is at Palarivattom..They have a restaurant that functions till 9:30 pm... Theres a hospital nearby, lots of restaurants & shopping options nearby...They even booked an Auto Rickshaw for me to reach the Railway Station on time... I really enjoyed my stay....

Old hostel with lots of memories. Rooms of 3 sharing, 2 sharing & single are available. Good atmosphere with volleyball court & also there is a billiards room. Around 20-30 cars can park here at a time. Best time to stay here is July-Jan. Close to it YMCA restaurant is situated. As it is close to NH bus service is available most of the time.

A very clean & tidy hotel with all the basic requirements. Mine was an AC room allotted on the ground floor. Awesome service & much more than my expectations seeing at the Tariff at which the rooms are offered.

Now covid vaccination is on going there.

Nice place to stay for family and friends with a reasonable price.Good location service is really good.Only issue is for Pure Vegetarians there is a Hotel which provides both veg and Non veg with limited items.

Moldy walls, dirty sheets, facilities not what it says in online listing. There are non-ac rooms too, so if u r not careful, u may end up getting that. Except a soap and towel nothing is provided. WiFi was also not provided although advertised. Restaurant is more like a mess there was only one item available to eat when I went. Pathetic.... Regret my booking..

With the amount we are paying its a nice place. The location is lill off. But overall I had a nice experience. Initally the room we were alloted had some issue. They immediately changed it. Did not get a chance to test the food though.

I booked the room in YMCA for a short stay. the booking included breakfast also but unfortunately their restaurant had been closed and the hotel authority told me that they would bought the food or pay the cash. satisfied with the service and attitude of the staff. good budget hotel and the location is convenient...

Good Clean Rooms. No disturbance. No Noise from Surrounding. Near Pallarivottam Junction. Bit far from Ernakulam Town Railway station. Value for Money, AC not needed after June may be! Did not use the restaurant. I booked through Goibio. Checked in by 8am. Smooth check in.

Facilities are OK, there is no study hall or library for reading for students as mentioned in the website. Also there is no facilities for fitness like gym or games etc. Food facilties is on contract, so there is no discount. For a vegetarian there is no choice in foods, vegetarian dishes are absent or even if they are present, it is not very tasty. Breakfast available is not fresh and good. I dont know why washing is prohibited like smoking or drinking alcohol. But there are people who smoke inside which is not restricted. Room cleaning staff is present, but never visited for three weeks. Also too much mosquitoes are in here. I kill around 200 by bat on average

I was booked the hotel on 24/09/2017 for the date 29/09/2017. When i completed all my engagements in kochi; I called to the Hotel at 6.30pm on 29/09/2017 for check in. One guy taking phone and talking very roughly. He told me the check in time was at 12Pm. I replied to him its not early check in ; it was late check in. Then he told me to come. I was booked two double rooms for us.But the receptionist in the hotel allot me One double room and One single room.He is very rough and un standard. He told me that is a rush day and all rooms are full. I think he give my room to another one . Room was neat but bed sheet was ugly and there is no blanket. Tv was not working in two rooms. Worst experience

I would recommend YMCA Palarivattom, Kochi, for travelers visiting Kochi.Pros:1. Price for Double AC room was very reasonable.2. Complimentary breakfast is provided. The breakfast was awesome : Appam, Peas curry, Bread, Jam and fresh butter + Tea/Coffee.The coffee is awesome.3. Staff are very polite and kind.4. Ample parking place incase you are travelling by own car.5. A/C works well6. RO water filter for drinking water.7. Hot water available 24hrs.8. Calm and silent atmosphere.9. Bed, blankets are very good.10. Bathrooms were exceptionally clean and neat. Very nice. 10/10 for bathroom.Cons:1. Approach Road from Main Service road is slightly narrow.2. A/C Rooms had slight smell which happens when room is not used. However after few minutes of running A/C and fan the smell went away
