The staff were super sweet. The food was great and the location was the cherry on top. Loved everything about it!

Delightful place. Our server was very polite and extremely knowledgeable. He recommended us our food and they were delicious.Its peaceful and the surrounding area is quiet. Nearby you will be able to do some shopping but they will be overpriced.If you are a smoker,they tend to keep only Surya light.Overall wonderful experience.

Never thought there is cafe inside Babar Mahal. This place is cozy, quite and romantic. Of course French restaurant has to be romantic by default. Staff are very friendly. One of my French friends took me there to taste some french food and I must say that I loved it. Food was so delicious.

Chez Caroline is one of my favorite places for lunch/dinner. I like their Crepes (we usually get the one with 3 toppings-chicken, cheese and spinach) and lasagna. My favorites for dessert are the Mille-Feuille and Crème Brulee. I love that they serve great bread and fresh salad both of which are complimentary! Our favorite staff there is Madhuji-very experienced, professional and helpful. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is very pretty, makes for great pictures in good weather.Good service, good food, great desserts!

You should be visiting here if you want French influenced foods and they are amazing.

The waiter named Madhu deserves a raise. Extremely friendly. Overall the experience was amazing. Would definitely recommend for some good french meal. The pork chop is a must

It was really worthwhile going to have lunch. I begin with the parisiene salad. The lamb was fantastic! And a crème brûlée to complement a delicious meal.

Awesome place for some delightful food. The service is also quite exceptional. The price range is really high so be prepared for that but for the most part the food and service is worth the price.

Pretty tricky to get here, restaurant is somewhat hidden within a building.Food is good though slightly on the more expensive side (1850 NR for lamb chop).

Good place. One of the waiter was very good to us and another one was a bit rude though. Food is good as well. But I was expecting a better cheese From these guys. Croosaint I had in breakfast was super fresh and tasty served with butter and jam. Coffee and sandwich were very good as well. Also they dont mind if you are having small business discussions. I am giving it only 3 stars as I expect them to be better next time according to their price and place. Lastly, one might not need to worry about parking and location as it is in very much in between of key city Patan and Kathmandu.How can I forget they have party venue, antique and cloth shops (mostly Nepali type), art/ photo exhibition being held and hotel things all inside the same premises. Non of them are cheap though.

Chez Caroline is an amazing restaurant! Such an unexpected beautiful atmosphere for lunch after touring all day in Kathmandu. The food was fresh and fantastic, the service was great and the wait staff were so nice and helpful! Six of us had a late afternoon lunch there and enjoyed the whole experience. Highly recommend this place!!

Top marks to this, a gem of a restaurant, in this very busy city where there is such a variety of places to eat.However this restaurant offers more, a really good menu, good cooking and a continental feel about it. Attentive service too, its a restaurant with a reputation, I will add to that. Superb.

Great place for lunch

Great ambiance with pricey above average food in general. Steak was tough, I would avoid. Worth a visit.

This is our favourite place for date night. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. Gorgeous food and a peaceful atmosphere. Personally I love their salads, but all of the dishes we have tried thus far have been amazing.

A wonderful restaurant with a wide selection of delightfully prepared French cuisine. I enjoyed trying everything on the menu, my favorites being the rabbit and the spinach raviolis. The staff was also delightful and very helpful in navigating a foreign menu. I plan to eat here again as soon as I get back to Nepal!

Food should be better

Tucked away in a corner in babar mahal revisited, chez caroline is cozy and quite. The service was great and the wait staff were very warm and helpful. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The food is great but slightly on the pricier side. The place has a great dessert menu with a lot of options, you will be spoilt for choice and I and would highly recommend it for their desserts.

I was a bit disappointed. There was so much hype around the place. The Carbonara was stodgy and dry and the Creme Brulee was still runny. Its a beautiful setting and I will probably give it another chance. I want this place to be as good as everyone says it is.

This is by far the best dessert place I’ve tried in Kathmandu. The Coulante is to die for. As a vegetarian, I also absolutely adore their shiitake tartiflette and blue cheese ravioli!

A lovely place in a Rana era palace. Food is expensive for nepal but tastes usually good. Last visit I ordered a creme brûlée and it was chunky, very surprised such a high quality place was to serve such over cooked creme brûlée...rather disappointed. When approached waiter abt it was told it should be like that.

Delicious restaurant in a very nice setting. We are truly delighted. In addition, the service is fast and efficient and the servers are very attentive to customers. Madhu deserves a special mention because he speaks French very well and he also has the wonderful smile of many Nepalese. On the other hand, when reading the map I understood that it was time that I returned to France to change my glasses from close !
