One of the best place for family dine in Thamel

The yak cheese was thick and it made the carbonara really a bit too wholesome. I wasnt able to finish it due this fact. Perhaps you might want to share it with a friend. The latte was standard.My friends ordered the steak but it was not as nice as it feels.

I wanted something different, I like going to restaurants that offer a little more on their menu, and this place delivers. They offer many choices (ethnic dishes) for food.I had the Ostrich burger and fries.It was delicious

Not a very budget establishment by Tamel standards, but worth it. People come here not for a quick lunch, but in order to leisurely enjoy delicious and beautifully served food. Every dish in this restaurant is a work of art.During our stay in Kathmandu, we tried almost half of the menu and everything was cooked very tasty.

Indian veg food is tasteless.We tried Thupa here, that too was just like soopy-noodles, nothing so special.Too costly.1* for good ambience.

Really poor pizza. The base was stodgy, and appeared to have been cooked from frozen. The tomato was sickly sweet as if it were a bad jar of pasta sauce rather than a simpler and better passata. The cheese was thick, and the toppings were clumsily cut as if by a child. Its rare that I cannot finish a pizza but this was seriously wasted calories. If eating here, do not order pizza. There are better pizza places nearby.

Nice staff good food

This is the best place to have variety of food and drinks. The cafe is well managed and clean. One can enjoy the beautiful outdoor view from the roof of the cafe with the enjoyment of eating. The environment is peaceful and lively. There are enough comfortable seats in bottom floor and in roof too. Also the cafe is designed with artitecture.

Nice atmosphere, very clean. Good drink and food menu, but it was a bit weird having to ask three times for a food menu, and a really long wait for the invoice. Was probably just an off day for them. Water and ice products all use filtered water, so traveller friendly.

Majestic food..good staffs..great location..

Nice location. Good food. Not of the trendiest place, but good Italian. I also tried an Indian dish, and it was ok. Good beer collection and washroom facilities. Their terrace seating area is awesome and you can much on while watching than street. Waiters are polite as well.

Not a great experience unfortunately. People smoking drugs in the bar, pizza wasnt good and additional charges added for tax and service which werent particularly apparant.

One of the worst experiences in Nepal. The ambience was good but not the food. Restaurant people were not very friendly. They just casually served food. No greetings, no talking.

Probably have eaten here no less than 20 times and its been a 5 star experience each and every time. The eggs Florentine is delicious for breakfast, and the vege korma for dinner is the best Ive ever had anywhere. Clean, cozy, the friendliest staff, and amazing food. My go to place every time I visit thamel.

Waited 45 minutes for our breakfast omelettes, and we were pretty much the only people in the cafe (at 10 am), when our omelettes arrived, my friend got something entirely different from what she ordered, and mine was cold. The replacement omelette arrived about two minutes later, which makes me wonder why the first took so long? Staff wasnt helpful and didnt understand us well, atmosphere and seating is nice though, and the food was good as well

Good taste and variety of cuisines makes this place one of the definite go to places. Be it a simple soup or Indian delicacies or any other dish on the menu, the taste of the food is absolutely lip smacking. You can go there either for a simple cup of coffee or a light evening, where you can have your favourite alcohols while chatting with your friends and family.Based in Thamel, Kathmandu - it has humble and warm decor, which lets its food and aroma speak for itself. Im giving a rating of 4 considering I went during Dassehra (Dashain as Nepalis call it, their biggest festival), it took a little longer to serve than expected. Hopefully this was only because of Dashain.

It has good ambience, clean and spacious. I visited at Xmas Eve and there was live music as well.But the food cost is very expensive. They charge service tax along with vat tax on each item.

We went here just after arriving in Kathmandu. It was welcoming and friendly and a nice place to relax for refreshments. Food was tasty and everything was reasonably priced.

Good restaurant for the rest in the thamel area when we have free time most of the people spent to the coffee shop but that place could be have crowd but in this restaurant very comfortable and easy can go because located at center point of the thamel bazaar . Those person who looking for the good coffee and get food highly recommend here .

The staff are amazingly friendly, I’m pretty sure they thought I was royalty by the way the treated me.

We ate lunch here and were dissapointed. 115 rupee for cold water. The bad surprise taxes at the end of the invoice, could go directly in the final price of the food, in the menu. We feel cheated. We will not go back.

Croque Mademoiselle is the best breakfast I ever had!!! Kind of expensive Restaurant but thats OK!

Really good food, we took BBQ chicken burger and Teryaki chicken burger and they were delicious with the fries. Good tea and coffee. The place is warm and confortable. Good restaurant to be cozy.

This place is out of this world for a food and variety of the drinks. I had chili chips as apatizer and tequila lime chicken and OMG I didnt have better spicy chicken nowhere else. Service was great too. Atmosphere was really relaxing and enjoyable. At the end I had ice cream cappuccino and was also great. Cant recommend this place enough in a heart of Thamel area.

Great live music Friday and Saturday. Heated dining room. Expensive for Kathmandu, but great for tourists not worried about expenses.

Ambience looks great from outside but it was very unhygienic place, water dripping from the ceiling and rat running around. Loved the waiting Staffs though, they were very friendly and welcoming.

Looks nice from outside. Coffee was decent, however had to wait 30 mins when only 4 other customers, and the food was horrendous. Taxes not applied to bill and tip included in bill, should be up to customer. Go around the corner and there is better luck at the ran down looking places.

Long wait for food, seating was comfortable, didnt need to use facilities, so cant comment.

Let me preface my review by saying that this is the first review I have ever written for a restaurant.I am not a picky eater and having also worked in hospitality I understand the challenges involved. We entered this restaurant with no expectation.However, looking at the prices, (2x the average price of a main in Thamel) one would expect some level of quality and service.Our table of two pax was one of three tables currently being served. There was upwards of ten staff in the usual fashion.We ordered two soda waters, my partner ordered a pizza and I ordered a penne pasta with pesto and mushrooms. I asked the waiter if the pasta was cooked fresh and he confirmed that this was indeed the case. I then asked if it was possible to have mine cooked al dente. Again he confirmed. I reiterated, undercooked and no more than 8 minutes.Again he was assuring.Needless to say the pizza was undercooked with a white soft bready base. Saying the pasta was overcooked would be the understatement of the century. What I was presented was a green porridge like dish with some sprinkled cheese; I did not find any mushrooms.This was after the two sodas were opened at the table with both occasions fizzing out onto myself and my partner.Again, no expectations but I could not physically bring myself to eat more than one bite. That was enough to put me off dinner.I did not complain; instead - I left the dish to the side and focused on conversation, thinking that someone would come and check on us.At no point in the 20 minutes that followed did any of the ten staff enquire as to our meal or show any interest about how we were going. Remember, three tables currently being served at this place. They seemed far more concerned with the street traffic and conversing with each other.I had to ask for the bill twice. The plates were not cleared.When it finally arrived, half an hour later, the waiter had the insight to ask me about the pasta seeing as i hadnt touched it. I explained and he went away only to come back a couple of minutes later to ask me if I wanted something else. A question perhaps for a time traveller. I did ask if it was possible to remove it from the bill seeing as it was inedible but was told that this wasnt possible.I didnt insist. I paid (inclusive of 10% service charge; what a joke) and left.Do yourself a favour and avoid this place at all costs.
