Kaiser Cafe inside Garden of Dreams is not a bad cafe... I love the brownies with ice cream and the pork chops. Have been here a number of times and always try the fresh organic salad. But to my disappointment found the tomatoes not well presented by the chef. You can check my photos & the staffs a little bit on the talkative side. Rest good views, beautiful garden & attentive staff
The restaurant is very nice and comfortable, it is located inside the Garden of dreams so you have to pay an entrance fee of 200 Rupees if you are a foreigner first. The garden is a quiet and beautiful place so it is very well worth the fee. We had the Thlali and an order of 10 vegetarian momos and i can say that they were worth every peny, the food was simply amazing. I have had the same dishes in other places but never so tasty. I would say that the price range of this restaurant is in the middle.
Such a wonderful place to stay around and learning about histories of people and places in Garden of Dreams!
Dont worry about food when you are inside garden of dreams. You have got kaiser cafe for amazing food taste ❤️
Good cafe
This place is completely out of Nepal, the food here is international and served like 5 stars restaurant, dont miss their soup and the salads, the main plates are also as good as any 5 stras restaurants super recommended, the prices are a bit more than usual however it is so clean and delicious . . . Meet the good standard restaurants
A delightful setting in which to relax after a very long long journey. The attentive service was outstanding and the food, especially the sauces, delicious. Be sure to order from their menu with the spicier dishes.
The brew coffee is worthy of a 5 star NY hipster review. Definitely the best cup of joe I’ve had in Nepal. I’m not usually a fan of western restaurants in the east, but this place is consistently good. Also I feel pretty confident that eating their huge fresh 400 rupee salad isn’t going to give me food poisoning (knock on wood). Oh and it’s warm in the winter!
It very peaceful place you can spend time with your loved one... ♥️♥️
Beautiful location! We got a table that overlooked the garden, so the view was quite nice. However the food we ordered tasted a bit bland. We had the Schnitzel, and it came without any sauce. The sides of potatoes also was a bit dry. Would recommend for a coffee but not worth it for a dinner.
The food, atmosphere, and service make it a great place for lunch or dinner. It is outdoor dinning in a large walled garden. While it is in a very busy and noisy area, the high, solid walls around the garden make it quiet and private dining. There is a 200 Rupee fee for entering the garden and it is required to gain access to the cafe. The garden is worth the entry fee without the meal. A nice stroll before, after, or before and after your meal will help make your meal even more enjoyable.
Good food, high prices, poor service. Out of four stars, one is for the beautiful location in a tranquil garden. The menu is extensive, and the food is done well, although it won’t blow you away. However, I really wish the service was more attentive and courteous. Still, it’s worth a visit if you’re in the Garden of Dreams!
One of the best place couple.
Beautiful cafe. Well decorated. Good food and drinks.. Clean toilets. But a bit too expensive for it.
Beautiful place to hang out in the heart of capital...
Beautiful surroundings and great food. The staff is helpful
Best place to visit as its has got a beautiful park inside. Foods are bit expensive as compared to the quality and taste.
Its so far good. Grab book and coffee of your choice and spend your splendid time. You will enjoy both as being single or with your company there. Its garden of dreams and drink of your choice.
Food was good and the Ambiente within the garden is great. However they had no milk so we drank espresso which was way too bitter and the prices are very high in general. Especially as you also have to pay 200 rupee entrance to the park
Terrible dining option in Kathmandu. You can do better. The gardens are worthwhile however this cafe took over 25 minutes to bring our drinks and a further hour to bring our food. The food was mediocre for their premium price point and came out at a luke warm temperature. Nil apologies from the staff. Would not recommend in the slightest.
Great location. Good food and ambience. But on the expensive side with food being expensive and you also need to take the entry tickets to get into the garden where it is located.
A peaceful oasis. Great cake and coffee.
One of my favourite places.Going by its reputation, good staff but yesterday the Virgin Mojito that one of us had ordered was spoilt.... absolutely fermented - smell & taste. The most surprising part was the tea pot that the tea was served had its handle broken and the tip of the cover too..Advice : do not let the quality go down !
Extremely expensive place. it is mostly for foreigners as they charge such heavy amount. an advice to all the people visiting the garden that dont eat in any eateries inside the garden in case you are broke af
Excellent food and service. Lovely garden setting.
Very high class with the high price . Which is not very suitable for the locals.
Quality time. Peaceful place in town. (@night)
Wonderful cafe surrounded by an amazing garden. Good food and service.
This is the restaurant at the garden of dreams. The setting is gorgeous. Menu and food is average. Good service.
Cool and good place for relaxing with flowers trees and environment
One of the best cafe with greenery and fresh air inside.
Nice place and hospitality ... But pricing bit high for public
Good experience . Good coffee .... expensive but worthy of it. .....love to have coffee here ...good location ...nice desert option ...like to visit here again ...good services
Nice ambience with great food.
Wonderful experienced family environment
Good good but expensive
Very nice coffee. Must try, only problem is, they have very less options for vegetarians, very peaceful environment and staff is friendly.
Lovely historic place to relax in the busy city Kathmandu.
Great place with awesome ambience!!!!!
Service is outstanding!
An elegant but overpriced restaurant with great ambience, entry fees, paid WiFi and no parking..As it is located in Garden of dream you will be charged for the entry and there is if you need you need to pay for WiFi access.Garden itself is nice, neat and well maintained which provides good ambience for your breakfast/lunch/supper/diners.Food and service is par at the given overall cost..
Silent and Well Behaved Place to have a lunch
Good food with good environment and service
Ordered beer very bad taste. Best before one month ago, complaining to the waiter, he pointed out we take care of our costumers explained it was manufaktur date. No on Gorkha beer date is best before. Thats not god enough for a restaurant in that prize range.
Nice place to hangout with friend and silent
The experience here for me has been amazing. I cannot describe it properly, its hard. But its great. One of those castle like structures from the Rana era of Nepal turned into a cafe it is, surrounded by the beautiful Garden of Dreams. Imagine youre eating the good food here leisurely feeling like a royal and you get to gaze at people from all around the globe taking a stroll in the garden. Its that great :) The food is good, so is the service. But you will have to pay NPR 150 per person to enter the premises as this cafe is a part of Garden of Dreams itself. O and ya this cafe is really quiet if it matters to you!
A pleasant stop in a hectic city. Prices were higher than weve experienced in Kathmandu, and the coffee and dessert, while ok, were a bit disappointing.
Nice cosy cafe located in the garden. You need to first buy gardens ticket of 200 to reach the cafe
Nice and cool place to hangout along with good food, good environment and good hospitality.
Nice ambience. Bit expensive.
Good cafe for hangout which is inside garden of dreams
Good environment. Justifiable price.
Very good service
Pricey but foods were pretty good
Expensive but managable .Good service. Nice place to chill out .
Always nice to eat a meal surrounded by the Garden of Dreams
Delicious! Try the sache torte
Peace environment.
Good coffee
In the midst of Kathmandu’s urban bustle, the tranquil oasis of the Kaiser Mahal Garden of Dreams stands as an enduring legacy of the extraordinary vision of one man: Field Marshall Keshar Sumsher Jung Bahadur Rana.Located just across the street from the former royal palace at the entrance of the Thamel tourist area, this magnificent garden was created in the European neo-classical style and themed to pay homage to Nepal’s six seasons. Today the gardens offer a respite from the busy city, and a place to enjoy history, style, and a delicious bite to eat.The Kaiser Café offers a continental menu in an atmospheric setting that is to be treasured, and serves as a perfect venue for anything from a quiet coffee or intimate meal to large functions.
Everything was perfect
Best service
Cool cafe
Beautiful parc area, calm, you can sit in the grass, noisy, dirty Kathmandu staying outside.....
Great food
Good restaurant, nice landscape
The food is delicious, but the serving sizes were small and overpriced. You must pay a 200 rupee entrance fee to enter, even if not visiting the adjacent gardens.
Nice place
Good place.
Very good
In remembrance of this cafe
Good place to eat
Amazing foods
Just woww
Quality is ok but its very pricey for Nepalese standards
