Its one of the center of the Baul Singers universally. Baul culture gained its fulfillment from Lalmati ( Parts of Paschim Bardhaman and mainly Birbhum, West Bengal) and its center is Joydev Kenduli. Famous Bauls Like Punnya Das, Kartick Das Bauls are from this place ,Joydev. During Joydev Kenduli Mela( Pous Sankranti/Makar Sankranti) all three days the whole premises get filled by Baul followers. Programs runs those Mela 3 days 24 hrs.
