This ended up being one of the best experiences weve ever even though it started off with a little difficulty to find the place in narrow streets of jodhpur, but it was worth it. Place is neat and cosy with a terrace cafe with the view of Mehrangarh fort. Host is very helpful and friendly. Over-all amazing stay.

Lovely homestay. Large clean rooms with all working facilities. Friendly and helpful host. Rooftop balcony was a lovely space to dine. Breakfast was generous and delicious each morning.

We had a lovely clean room, breakfast was decent and the location is amazing - you are so close to the Fort!The owner was very helpful and welcoming; he even invited us to a community dinner and arranged our transportation forwards!I would definitely recommend this place.

Place is very good ,good host, good ambience . The only n major drawback is too much noise outside the place n total absence of privacy as doors n windows overlooks right into next door house. Have to compulsory keep it shut . No air circulation.

The rooms are wonderfull and clean. Owner friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok . Suggestion he should put umbrellas up because all tables are in sun. Beautiful view. Will stay again

· The place is very nice. Great location right next to fort and main bazars. But it is in a quite street so you can get a good night sleep.The staff is so nice, the owner is very helpful.We enjoyed very much the rooftop restaurant, Owner Manu the restaurant is super duper kind and delicious food.

This is a lovely newly refurbished Haveli, with tastefully decorated rooms and modern bathrooms. It has great views up to the fort, particularly from the rooftop restaurant. There are many restaurants nearby but to be honest we had dinner at the hotel on our last night and wished we had eaten there more often as it was the best meal we had and the restaurant has a cosy atmosphere in the evenings and a beautiful view of the lit fort. The owners were all very helpful and friendly.

The surreal experience of two nights in Jodhpur was made memorable by the very amiable Manoj. His genuine interest in helping us get the best out of our trip, his knowledge of the land (some excellent suggestions and great homemade achaar) are commendable.Special mention to Vasu and Jai for keeping us full with scrumptious breakfast (palak ka paratha, anyone?)Well done interiors and comfortable rooms with all amenities.Highly recommended!

Hotel is good staff is also good but there are few problems like they dont have any parking space. So you have to pay extra to park ur vehicle and please dont park at the place suggested by hotel staff. I booked hotel from agoda website and owner cancelled my booking after check in.

We stumbled on this beautiful place after arriving in Jodhpur and decided to stay straight away - friendly, helpful owner, spacious clean rooms and an amazing roof terrace restaurant with stunning views of the fort. Great breakfasts too! Highly recommended.

If you came to Jodhpur to see the Mehrangarh Fort, this is the right place. The Fort looms over you when standing on the rooftop terrace, and the natural light at both sunset and sunrise are postcard perfect. As the inn is situated in the historical part of town you will need to catch an auto rickshaw from the Clock Tower in town. On the way out, management can arrange for a car to pick you up less than 100m from the front door.The Dev Kothi is actually a haveli, which is a private residence opened up to accommodate guests. They offer an insight into the Indian way of life that a hotel can never achieve. The Dev Kothi is a perfect example of the hospitality you can expect from staying in a traditional Indian homestead. The décor is rustic and reminiscent of days gone by, but the amenities are all modern and first world.The haveli is ideally located to explore the attractions in and around the city. Manu the “manager” (he is a member of the family, so he doesn’t really have a title) is only too happy to make suggestions, help you plan excursions and make the arrangements for you. He will do everything he can to ensure your stay at the Dev Kothi and in Jodhpur is as pleasant as possible.A quick heads-up here – in India when they say breakfast included, they mean a few slices of toast with jam or a bowl of corn flakes accompanied by a small dish of diced seasonal fruit. Otherwise, the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially when it came to lugging our luggage up and down stairs and alleys. The rooms were clean and spacious. The internet was a bit patchy for us workaholics, but that’s to be expected - besides you shouldn’t be indoors working here anyway.

Went here for an evening meal which was one of the best I’ve had in India. Lovely restaurant setting with top views of the fort and surrounding city, we ate some delightful jodhupori and Rajasthani dishes very different from your usual curries. These were freshly made to order with incredibly fresh ingredients. The chef and homeowner is a great man and personally came to chat with us and all the staff were very polite and attentive. A must if you are in jodhpur.

This hotel is a real gem. It has just 6 unique rooms which are spacious, well equipped, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The bathrooms too are well designed and also large. We were lucky to get a high room with outstanding views of Meharangarh Fort on two sides. Adding to the charm is the fact that all meals are served on the roof-top terrace which has even more spectacular views. And the meals are excellent - all prepared to order by the staff, who are always available to make sure you are having a good stay and to answer any questions. They work from the kitchen, also on the roof, and the prices for the food are excellent.The Dev Kothi is situated in a residential area that is equidistant from the Fort, and from the Clock Tower market, both of which are must see places for anyone visiting this glorious blue city, and exploring of foot is easy especially with the map provided by the Dev Kothi. For more distant sight-seeing, the owner can arrange tuc-tucs to take you there but there are also plenty available in the area.

The hotel is situated in a great location. Picturesque, narrow streets and proximity to attractions such as the beautiful Mehrangar fort make it an ideal stay for a stay in Jodhpur. A very welcoming host is always there to help. Rooms are decorated very elegantly, with beautiful carved wooden furniture from local factories. I recommend it with full responsibility!

We were warmly welcomed. The rooms are very nice and well-kept, the staff very nice. Rooftop terrace is great! The food is good. The hotel is a little hard to find, but is a 10 minute walk from the fort from the top location.

A great stay at Manu - you really fill up at home in this homestay! Dev Kothi is super clean (the cleanest hotel we have stayed in India so far). Manu is very friendly and helpful - we could really trust him. Our room was well designed. The hot water was really hot. The internet was also fast.We also had lunch twice in the restaurant: it was freshly prepared and tasted great! The mushroom curry is particularly recommended.
