Jaipur Zoo, located close to the Albert Hall Museum, is home to about 50 species of animals and birds, including Bengal tiger, Indian civet, Himalayan bear, barking deer, peacock, painted stork, goose and crocodile, among others. Opened in the year 1877, the zoo is divided into two sections, one for birds and reptiles, and another for mammals. In the year 1999, the zoo founded a ghariyal breeding farm, which is also one of the largest breeding farms in the country. Later, a museum was also built inside the zoo premises displaying the wildlife of the state of Rajasthan. A complete treat for the little ones, birdwatchers and animal lovers, Jaipur Zoo becomes a must-visit with a wide variety of animals and birds.

Good place for kidsNice place with a diversity of plants and animals. Easy to spot each and every animals in its place, although not so big. But still a good place for kids. It has different types of plants and a nice collection of wild life, although this zoo has small area in comparison of the other zoo in country. As per quantity of the wide range of wildlife it has it must have a bigger area. But Most of the animals have been shifted to Zoological park Nahargarh. Now there is no more excitement left in this zoo. You can visit other places and museum albert hall for enjoying your trip .

Zoo is one of those places, whether you are a child or an adult, youll enjoy it the same. The jaipur zoo is very well made and has animals of different varieties in open as well as completely closed enclosures. During my visit i was able to see ceocodiles, tigers, exotic birds, hyenas, bears, monkeys and a lot more. But i would advise to visit in evening coz in the day the animals are relaxing in their shelters due to the scorching heat and you wont be able to see anything.
