Pakistan second biggest library in technical institute with much interesting books and comfortable sitting. The Library has 63,501 volumes of books and scattered issues of scientific and technical serials on diverse fields. Besides engineering subjects considerable reading material on humanities, social sciences and Islamic Studies is available. The members can borrow books and other materials, (except serials, reference or reserved books) for specific periods. They can also reserve materials, which are out in circulation. For this, reservation cards are to be handed over at the circulation counter.Reference Collection and GuidanceServices. At the Reference Desk professional staff is available to help with queries, literature searches and to ensure that information needs are being adequately met. The Reference section and knowledge house supports informations needs of faculty and students.Circulation SectionCirculation is one of the key services of our library. It provides lending services and facilities for return of loaned items. Renewal of materials and payment of fines are also handled at the circulation desk.Book BankThe Library houses a Book Bank, which lends books to all undergraduate students for a whole semester on a nominal rent. Books are to be loaned for current semester only. Books are the property of the library and are to be returned at the end of semester irrespective of their date of issue.Knowledge HouseKnowledge house equipped with 100 Personal Computers with free access to internet, Digital Library and e-brary to supplement the information needs of students & research scholars of this University. Service of scanning and soft copying is also available here.

UET Taxila Central Library having a good collection of printed books and e-books on various fields of knowledge.Quite peaceful and learning environment with cooperative staff.The arrangements for seating are nicely organized. Cabinets and division of books with respect to specific field are also made.

Internet services problem

Central library of uet taxila is located at center of University. It is good place for study. You can read a lot of books because it has collection of more than 40000 volumes of books and 45000 volumes of bound serials. You can read books related to all fields. You can read novels and poetry books. It also has search book facility where you can search books online. We can issue books to take away from library.It has very strong Internet. So we can enjoy Internet.

Well maintained

I find this place good for studying. Having 3 floors above a ground floor, this library allows only UETians to enter, study, and get books with their library card. Many textbooks on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) are available here, but there are many other books of different genres. For example, there is a good collection of books on Islām and Sīrat-un-Nabi. The library also provides a free (open) Wi-Fi connection thats available most of the time. If you want to get a book issued, you have to go straight up to 1st floor with your library card (more precisely, a library diary issued by the library itself), and contact relevant staff. There are separate seating arrangements for boys and girls. On the second floor, there is an IT Lab that has several computers for working on. And one more thing – eatables are not allowed in here. After just entering and a few more steps, to your left is a place for keeping your those belongings there (e.g. bags), which arent allowed in there.
