Visited on 20 December, one of the historic place to visit in Indore. Not too much crowded. 10₹ Entry charges per person is applicable here with 10₹ Parking for Two wheelers.Outer palace corridors are under some work which make unease for the visitors. Also the inner one fourth portion is also under work. But great place for Historians and other interested people. There is one TARAMANDAL SHOW here..which was closed during this Pandemic.Recommended place for couples for quality time.

Very cheap tickets for Indian only Rs 10, again one more example of mismanagement beautiful history has been mishandled by Govt. Nothing much inside the Haveli children were playing cricket in the park. Renovation is on going. Only 2 floors and 5 rooms are open for tourists. Camera is not allowed inside.

The architecture and decoration of this Lal Baag Palace reflects the highly westernized outlook and aesthetic sensibility of the later Holkars. The Palace was inhabited by the Holkars till 1978. Tukojirao III was the last resident of this splendid palace. The Government of Madhya Pradesh is developing it as a cultural centre. The whole complex has a total area of 28 acres and boasts of one of the best rose gardens in the country. You can visit the Palace between 10:00 am and 05:00 pm on nominal charges everyday, except Monday. I also want to go once again.. 👍👍

Indore and All MP has just one problem in Tourism.Government dont try to maintain historical and cultural heritage sites in a positive attitude. Government is just doing a formality to keep them alive with the time. Every place in MP has its own tales of glorious past. They should be maintained. They deserve to a proper attention.

You will regret if you dont take your cam in(I did) and also there are parking charges for cars and bikes. One can vist there with auto or cab also. At the time of return, you wont find it difficult to find auto there.

Royal vintage of indore. Well maintained by indore administration, you get a beautiful glimpse into the Royalty of 17-18th century. It has 2 floors open to public access as well as a beautiful lawn. AKA Lalbaug Palace ( Nehru Kendra). The palace was built by Maharaja Shivaji Rao Holkar during 1886-1921. Situated amidst dry and dusty gardens, it is architecturally quite similar to the New Palace. Lal Bagh Palace once hosted many royal receptions and even today, reflects the life style and taste of the Holkar Rulers. The construction of the palace began in 1886 under Tukoji Rao Holkar II.The entrance hall on the ground floor is in marble and displays prehistoric artifacts. There is a coin collection on the first floor which dates back to the Muslim period. There are also exhibits like contemporary Indian and Italian paintings and sculptures.stuffed leopards and tigers gives the visitor an out of the world experience. You can visit the Palace between 10:00 am and 05:00 pm on nominal charges (Rs.10) everyday, except Monday. Paid Parking is Available.

This is the best building in indore i had ever visited. Palace is well preserved and maintained by the goverment. BUt ground outside palace is super off. Still fences of ground is broken. I recomend not to go there in night tym as some drunk people may be there. Palace visit charge is only 10 rs which is very cheap. Must visit once!

Lal Baag Palace is one of the most spectacular buildings in Indore. This Great palace built by descendants of Ahilya Bai Holkar. The place is very nice though not quite big. You would be able to finish off the sightseeing within an hour or two.Sad part of it is that some furniture, paintings and walls are in ruins and wish efforts were taken to upkeep the place. Nevertheless, this is another great place to visit when touring Indore-Mandu-Maheshwar.
