I followed the hype and went to see Dr Lim for acne scars and I left to put it mildly disappointed. The consult was very brief, totally not worth the consult fee. He didnt examine my scar under angular lighting as he preaches on his videos every halfway good and responsible scar specialist should do. What you expect is not what you get, unfortunately.

Hi Davin - Ive been watching your videos and would like more information on lasers. My situation is a bit more tricky because I have very sensitive rosacea skin (flushing and capillaries) and mild melasma on my upper cheeks from birth control (I presume). I was going to get BBL but after seeing your videos Im concerned it might make the melasma worst, although my redness/capillaries is my main concern. I was thinking maybe the BBL for the redness and Pico laser just on the small melasma areas? Any advice would be greatly appreciated

My wedding is coming up in December and I do have acne scarring I want to improve on. I am currently seeing a dermatologist at Sydney skin hospital but I really want to get there Hybrid co2 laser done. I think they only offer fraxel. Is there a place in Sydney that offers hybrid co2 laser? Ive searched Google and only places in Brisbane offer it.Much appreciated!

For those thinking of flying to Australia. You are best to go to a good dermatologist in your country. I wouldnt spend your money to fly to Australia, I think Dr Davin is good but no better than any professional dermatologist in your own country, I just think hes good at marketing and doing you tube videos. His prices are very high and then add on accommodation and flights its not worth it, when you can get the same results at home.

I am a patient from Hong Kong. I travelled all the way to Brisbane only to consult Dr. Lim because I had a box scar with raised wall and a depressed telegram-shaped center between my eyebrows resulted from an acne (provided that my skin used to be good and had no scar on my face ever) I actually consulted 2 demertologists in Hong Kong but none of them gave me confidence about the treatments of my scar as they only had very few types of laser like just 1 or 2 . The nurse was also unfriendly when I asked them questions. There is no before and after pictures to see as reference and I am not told the possible outcome. I felt hopeless and kept crying every day until I saw Dr. Lims video on YouTube which gave me hope and stopped my tears. I made a booking with dr. Lim right away. I met him for the first consultation and treatment on 18june followed by the 2nd treatment on 3july. He was such a considerate and caring dermatologist that he knew I am from Asian country, he offered to refer my case to his colleagues from other Asian country like Singapore or even Hong Kong for the upcoming treatments. However, I insisted my choice to Dr. Lim as I think he is more than just an excellent doctor in performing laser treatments skillfully but also for his good heart and his character being very nice, friendly and caring. As a picky patient, he is exactly the doctor I am looking for and I feel even more certain after meeting him in person. So, why bother to change ?Regarding the treatments, Dr. Lim is very experienced and professional. He explained clearly to me why and what treatments he would take and the possible outcome. I am not quite happy with the consultation. When I met it was short and didnt do the angle lighting diagnosis like he claims. I came to see you to get a full consultation with a treatment plan as you do state on many of your online videos. You are specifically asking patients to physically come to your clinic as you need to do angle lighting and prescribe a full treatment plan for all types of scarring. As its hard for me to come over to Brisbane each time do you know any good dermatologists in Sydney that specialize in Acne scarring and have the most up to date methods/lazers.I Cant seem to have come across any that have as many lazers as you ! All of the places i have been to all have suggested fraxel or emerge ( which i have had emerge before and i was disappointed as there was barley any imorovement) most recently i was suggested fraxel 1550 however on one of your videos you stated that it was more of an outdated approach so iam unsure whether i should follow through with this procedure - my scars are gravel like across the surface i have never been told what type of scars they are despite visting numerous dernatologists , my skin also gets quite red this has become more noticeable after having emerge lazer . love your videos by the way !!!!Thankyou!

Does laser resurfacing and co2 fraxel same thing? or are they different? still confuse with those terms that skin people use. some say they are the same with just different words while other says they are two totally different thing. One last question, after getting TCA CROSS should there be any scabs? is this good sign? thank you very much. going to do co2 fraxel after TCA Cross wonder if thats ideal method.

I’ve been seeing Dr Lim for my melasma & I have nothing but praise for this Dr, he explained everything to me & his treatment plan so far is working amazingly.

Havent been to the clinic, so count the 3 starts as a bull and void. But I was contemplating on attending these services, however due to the responses to the rest of the reviews, this seems like a very unprofessional practice and kind of daunting if I know my skin dr is going to treat me with distaste if unplease with the service. Might I suggest a change in tone in the responses (good or bad) and this might not deter potential clients

I have been to 3 Drs and done subsision, 2 infini Rf, and 1 fraxel with only 10% improvement. My Dr. recommends hand sanding but I have never seen it in your videos. Hi doctor,Im an eighteen years old student, I live In France.I suffered from severe acne during years which left me scars all over my face. I also have two others scars on my face ; one made by my dog an another due to a fall when I was younger.My scars are really bothered and complex me a lot, for the most, they arent really deep , but they do really affect my physical appearence as well as the way Im feeling.Ive met diverse dermatologists in Paris France which proposed to me fraxel laser but they didnt seemed to feel very concerned about my problem, they didnt examine my scars as you do in your video, they didnt have their own before and after pics and I just felt that they wanted to give me a method to improve my skin but not really help me to get rid of the problem.I do believe by your videos and the advices of customers that youre one of the best in treating acne scars and I wanted to travel next year to see you.As I consider to take a gap year, I may be able to stay in Australia for months.I just wanted to know if it was possible to organize something...Thanks for reading me. :)

Hi Dr,I read your website and the reviews and really hope you can help with my case. I sent email through your IG account too. I live in Rocky and rarely travel because of 2 little kids that are clingy to mummy. Anyway, my GP noticed the redness on my nose and advised me to see a dermatologist. I will visit Brisbane in January, can you pls advise to whom the GP reference letter should be addressed and approx how much the consultation fee and should I send pic first to get an approx treatment cost? I also suffer from allergy rhinitis, can that cause redness on nose too? I actually did laser treatment for capillaries on July when I visited my home country so I have no idea why the redness on my nose is so noticeable now. Thanks and waiting for your reply :)

Hi Dr David LimTruthfully videos u have posted nothing short of miracles. Y I say is many videos by Dermalogist claim a scar is always a scar can only b minimized. After watching your videos I presume acne scars can b treated to extent of visually non existing.In one of your videos u mention could suggest Dr Practitioners in country were one resides.I live in India Pune City Maharashtra State. Due to work & family responsibilities cannot travel to meet you in person. My personal opinion & experience majority Doctors recommend treatment to a limit of personal capacity convenience to equipment they have in their lab. Your approach is on Broad practical perspective with range of treatments. Would b obliged if you could suggest a Practitioner in City State Country mentioned.Thank you

I wouldnt recommend Davin Lim, he is only in the business of getting you in and out as quickly as possible and is extremely expensive. His manner is rude and abrupt and his staff are also rude. He is good at marketing online but dont waste your time or money.

Hello, Dr.Lim. Ive done TCA CROSS about 6 days ago and there are brownish scabs on my face which havent fallen off yet. Im planning to do CO2 Fraxel and was wondering if I can do it while there are scabs on my face or should I wait till those scabs are completely falling off by their own and do the CO2 Fraxel? if so, can I do CO2 Fraxel soon as all scabs are falling off of my face? Im from India doc. Ive recently completed my Undergraduation in medicine. I have atrophic acne scars on both cheeks and temples. Ive gone to a dermatologist and Im currently on Accutane prescribed by my dermatologist. She had suggested me 2 sessions of subcision and 4-6 sessions of MNRF. Ive been planning to go ahead. Ive been watching your YouTube videos. Theyre really impressive. I would like to fly to Australia before my PG for a consult. Please help me with the procedure to get an appointment for Out of state patients like me. Is it okay to visit you after getting my 2 sessions of subcision and 4-6 sessions of MNRF in India for final touch up? Or would you suggest to come over for the entire treatment? Would the previous procedures interfere if you plan any treatment plan as of now? Please help me put with the decision doctor.

Hi Dr. Lim, I have a small hypopigmented spot on tip of nose. I’ve tried a few sessions of manual micro needling via dermastamp with application of tyrosine cream and bimatoprost and it appears worse than it was before having these two treatments.....any advice and/or recommendations? Dr Lim burnt me so severely that Ive needed three lots of steriod injections into my eyelids and vbeam laser for scars. Its been 10 weeks of hell. He says I failed to follow up even though he denied any complications and I left on an overseas trip 4 weeks after my treatment - which was meant to have a downtime of SEVEN days. My new dermatologist has been great and said you must have been scared and I was. Dr Lim did not care and just tried to defend himself while I have been recovering from ongoing injections in my face, this is not even a cheek scar but eyelid scars. I need METAL corneal shields inserted into my eyes and have black eyes each time. Its as bad as it sounds. And Ive spent over 3,000 on this. Dr Lim said I could come back to him for treatments but theres no way Im letting him touch my eyes again - would you?? Horrible horrible experience.
