This time (COVID-19 pandemic) manage so grateful by southeastern railway. They are maintain hygienic activities regularly and also scheduled. This time basically special train are available. Mask and hygienic activities also check by under security check up.
One of my favourite place. Very close to my heart. Old, strong, efficient, historic and progressive. 5 star for cleanliness, 5 star for maintenance, Bengals one of the heritage. One of the best train run on its track is Howrah rajdhani express. Must visit.
It was a good experience. Well what to say about junction, people were everywhere waiting and running for trains. Most of them were wearing mask, not all. The sanitizing management was not up to the mark as well as the hygien. Still , compared to non pandemic days, the crowd was less. Station shops were all open , guards seemed to be all alert. After all its the oldest station in india and the pride of Kolkata.

Very spacious station. Almost all travel essentials are available. And if that wasnt enough, it has the Howrah Bridge as well as the Ghat to add to the beauty of the British-era architecture.
Howrah Junction is perhaps the most renowned railway station in India. It represents the epitome of Bengali symbolism. One of the most amazing features of Howrah Junction is that there is a road which divides the station into two. So, it is easy for people travelling with a lot of luggage to directly park their vehicle inside the station and directly board the train. There is no commotion as the road is very well maintained by the police.
Howrah Railway Station indeed must be an all time great Railway Stations in India. One can have luxury of divine experience by its amazing infrastructures and wonderful architectural design. The very distinctive feature of this Railway Station is it have got facility for car parking in alignment with respective individual platforms which means any passenger can get down to platform of their own choices and can comfortably carry their belongings. Im sure this is very rare facility one can see at railway stations. Other very interesting thing about this station is it have indoor gardening in between the platforms that simply captures passengers attention. The last very notable thing about this is one can reach to any platforms without crossing individual platforms through stairs or escalators. Once you enter inside the station you would not need to think for reaching your destined platforms. Finally I would say it is really one of its kind railway stations in India.
Best facilities like all persons are following discipline.
Crowded, good choices available in terms of wait. Food, restrooms, waiting hall available. Almost all routs trains are avail. Good location. Roming around at late night is not advisable by locals
Be at station atleast 30min earlier. Crowded and has 23 platforms so be careful, pickpockets are very common.

Kolkata Railway is not an attraction in the sense that it will not be your sightseeing destination. But you may visit the Railway station on way to some place or while returning from somewhere. But the Railway station is unique in many ways. It’s proximity to the iconic Hawrah Bridge. It’s grand and majestic structure. It’s age. It is one of the Oldest Railway Stations in the country. It has 24 platforms and handles approximately one million passengers every day.It may probably the only Railway station in the country which has a road adjacent to the platform. By paying a fees you can bring your car or taxi close to your Railway bogey. The station has a decent cafeteria which serves local delicacies at a cheap price. It is also one of the few Railway stations still served by the vintage yellow Ambassador cars..Even if it is not an attraction in that sense you will always carry the memories of the sights sounds and the smells..
To much crowd but neat and clean all time secure also
Just be on time otherwise you could miss your train as there are nearly 20+ platforms. Atleast you need to 20 minutes to reach the right platforms in rush tome

Huge structure of railway station. Howrah is the only station with the highest number of platforms in India. There are about 23 to 24 platforms here, and countless trains pass through every corner of the country every day. It is the oldest and largest railway complex in India (the original structures of the two older stations, Bombay and Thane, On 17 June 1851, George Turnbull, the Chief Engineer of the East Indian Company and his team of engineers submitted plans for a railway station at Howrah. One of the biggest railway stations in the world itself, it has nearly more than 23-24 platforms I think. The flow of people are huge, largest flaw is that it only deserves 2stars for cleanliness,. The authorities need to be careful about it especially in these covid situations

This is one of the biggest stations of Indian Railways. For me, its one of the best railway stations too. The management of the station is too good. With a total of 23 platforms and 2 cab-ways the station serves as an important organ to Kolkata.

One of the busiest, popular and old railway station of West Bengal. Many food court are available here.Waiting place, sitting place, water & fans are available.Everyday many people travel from here. The toilets are always clean. In one word, well maintained station.Although the stuff constantly try to keep the station clean, some of the stations are dirty and stinking.
Top most popular and oldest Railway Stations. Very well communication.
Its under construction some places but good overall
Outside is as usual full of vendors and people trying to sell you something.. easy access to platform ticket which cost rs 10. The train left right on time which is a very good upgrade in recent years by Indian railways. Platforms were not too crowded or littered but the waiting area was jam-packed as you can see from the pics. Most likely because of some train which arrived at that time. Masks are still a struggle with people and most likely the end of the elections will see a state wide curfew like the other states.
Most wonder full station as a picnic sport☺👍👌🌹
Nice Station, Clean , Well Managed and available all rout trainvery good experience.
