Do not live here under any circumstances! Management (even the new one) is horrible! Place is riddled with issues. From major security threats to maintenance issues. These are pictures of MOLD on the third floor! Management was told about this and was gaslighting the residents by trying to convince them that it was rust. Do not trust any recent 5-star reviews, theyre being written by fake accounts made by the property management to save their score on here! For the price of these units you can find much nicer places in the area.
This place has gone to the bottom. All the negative reviews you see about the complex is true. Under the management as “Equinox” it was bearable but still with many issues that are listed below. However, the new management is scrambling to make due and frankly has only made the situation from bad to worse. It is a horrible apartment that is overpriced and unfair to its tenants. It deserves the negative reviews and should have some compensation to its current tenants for neglect and mistreatment of the property and those in it. The team does not have your best interest in mind and is a business overseen by a corporation with nothing other the need to fuel their greed. You are better off trying your luck with another apartment to play it safe. My apologies to everyone who has to endure this property throughout the remainder of their lease. Best of wishes to you all and good luck on apartment hunting.
These apartments are dirty asl roaches everywhere and there’s constantly a foul smell. And the apartment manager is unprofessional and rude and doesn’t care about any of the issues you bring to their attention. Highly don’t recommend.
This was the worst, dirtiest, loudest, and most dangerous place to live at for the price you pay. The screaming at night at the pool until 11:30 without anyone to report it to was ridiculous. Whoever built this apartment complex did not consider the echo of the construction because every time someone talks for hours at the pool I can always hear it from my room loud and clear. The smells in the hall are horrible to experience, there is always trash everywhere in the parking garage. Anywhere else would have been better because the staff couldnt care less for my concerns.
So I have lived here for over a year. And I have read most of the reviews. Its really undeniably strange how most recent reviews find absolutely nothing wrong with this property. I have been talking to the front office and the management company about the issues here for a long time. Must of the reviews mimick what I have been contacting them about. The list goes on and on. From the safety, the hallways, the noise, the garage entry doors etc. Nothing seems to matter much here. You do your part as a tenant and you only expect the other half to do their part. Any staff anywhere are expected to do their assigned and obligated duties to the best of their abilities as they promised in their interviews. But what happens to leasing professionals after being hired. Shaking my head. And as for respect of the neighbors, well I guess if you werent taught to do this in life, then you never will. Just because one posts their rent each month and because one is over 21 years old doesnt give one the right to be disrespectful to others. But unfortunately I personally have dealt with neighbors who didnt learn this. Overall someone dropped the ball when deciding and announcing that this property is a luxury property. It is far from that. Something needs to be done to correct all issues.
The front staff is very unprofessional especially Jessica. After looking at the reviews I can see why people are running from this placeRESPONSE: Well that means the individuals in the leasing office also lies about who they are.....Where is the integrity?!?
Hello I am trying to access the manager via phone and no one is answering. The website is down and I have no other way to contact you all while I am at work. I need a replacement key fob because the one i was given ran out of battery I need it to access the garage and building. I have been trying to get in touch with someone for 2 days. The one time I was able to catch a person on the phone they said they would leave the fob in the amazon lockers but no one has and since then no one else has answered the phone at the office location during office hours. I left message and no one called back.
If you are considering move to this place all I can say is please don’t.1)if you submit a request it will never be completed. I spent a whole year with multiple requests to replace the ac filter that to this date hasn’t been replaced.2) my dryer has been broken for 5 months, management says it’s fixed when it’s not. They couldn’t even offer me to use a dryer in another apt.3) as you can see from the posted images, that’s the hallway where the trash chute is located that’s poorly maintained with a foul odor that’s unbearable to residents nearby.4)the pool spent almost a month close during the summer time.5)lastly when I called the front office for a matter there’s was someone who responds with “I don’t have time for this”Worst experience EVER!
PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE. READ THE COMMENTS IN THE REVIEWS THEY ARE VERY REAL. This complex is really hard to enjoy living in, especially if you’re a young woman. Management will literally make living here a miserable experience. My sister has been locked out of her apartment because the locks to her door were changed without the knowledge of the property. When we went to discuss this with the leasing agent at the time a young African American male he immediately began blaming her for being locked out despite both the leasing agent and my sister having the same key in hand. He was beyond rude and unprofessional. She has had her car broken into because there is no security. We have a police report and we have asked for footage yet 2 weeks later still we have not received any more word. You will not get any help with any problems you deserve to live somewhere where your property is accessible and the manager cares for you and his building DO NOT MOVE HERE PLEASE READ THE REVIEWS THEY ARE TRUE AND COMING FROM MANY FRUSTRATED RESIDENTS.
Do not move here ! I am locked out of my house, not because I’m getting kicked out or because I lost my key but rather the lock has been completely changed. I went to the office during regular hours and was told they have the same key as me so they couldn’t let me in and in order to letme in I would need to pay a $50 cashiers check to enter my apartment. They still don’t have a key and I am still locked out. I’m in shock. It is so dangerous to live here, my A/C was out from the 28th of July to the 19th of August. To top that my Mercedes was also broken into and they refuse to release the footage. Please look into anywhere but here!
I cannot believe how much this property does not care for the safety and property of its residents. Do not be fooled by the amenities and gallery pics. This place does not care how many cars get broken into on their property as long as people are still paying them rent.
This place is under new management and the previous management was horrible. I had to wait 2 weeks For our application to be processed and still have not not received a confirmation. During our application process we were never told that they would be changing management. We lost the unit we applied for as well as the rate for the unit. This will be 3 weeks of waiting for our application to be processed. We are hoping new management will help process our application so that we will not have to be hit with another credit check.
We have just moved into Equinox 2 months ago. The apartment is beautiful and the location of the apartment is to our liking. We overlook the garden view and it is very peaceful and we have natural sounds of the water to go to sleep to.The onboarding process of getting an apartment here was extremely simplified by our residential representative, Jorge. He did an excellent job of giving us a very thorough tour around the complex and showing us numerous available units. He also catered to our needs, on an individual level, for example making sure I have transport available to my job in the medical center from the apartment. He was so good that we made the decision to apply immediately. We even applied in the apartments business center. While there, another resident was working on a computer, I asked her about her experience and she relayed that Jorge helped her, too, and she was very impressed by his attentiveness.Jorge has been professional and available for our needs constantly since we have moved in. When he has not been available, the other residential managers, like Ashley have been readily available to help assist us with anything we need. Maintenance requests are attended to within 1 day, which is also a huge plus because being pregnant, there are things we need to be fixed quickly.I highly recommend Equinox!
DO NOT MOVE TO THIS APARTMENT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. Management and staff are rude! Your packages would get stolen. You’ll get locked out of your apartment and have to wait outside for a long time. There’s so much noise around the area! Do not recommend
Do not move here. They’ve broken into my little sisters car multiple times. My little sister has been unlawfully locked out of her unit that she pays rent for and they told her they don’t have a key to let her in. Her A/C unit was out for 2 and a half weeks. Multiple units reported their A/C not working and their rooms being 78+ degrees in Houston Texas absolutely wrong. This apartment has left her traumatized. Management does not care about the property or the residents.
Update : Welp. Now they steal Amazon packages here. DO NOT MOVE HERE FOLKS... Dont have a car, dont order from Amazon, dont have a care about your safety, dont care about the smell of trash or mildew. If this doesnt change your mind, take a portion of hard earned money and give to the nearest thief. The key word for this review is : Avoid. No security. Doors are kept wide opened and the new management must be recruited by thieves to help them steal. The level of incompetence is comical and they definitely dont want to help you when theres obvious issues with the place. So, if you enjoy your car being broken into, your factory rims stolen, doors open, broken doors for the ones that are closed, management that hates their jobs, security that doesnt exist, then come on down to Sync . They are in Sync with everything wrong with a bad apartment complex. Now to wait for the typical, canned We are here to help, please contact us response from management. 🙄
Do not move here under any circumstances!!!!!!, it is a dangerous place, more than 3 cars have been vandalized in less than 3 months, the new administration says they have surveillance but they still vandalized another car on the first floor of the parking lot. The lights dont work for me 3 months ago and I have spoken with 3 people and nobody does anything, everything remains on promises.
What I can say about the Equinox. The only thing that stands out is Jorge, my leasing agent. I only came to look at the apartments, I had no plan to sign a lease. Due to his professionalism, honesty, and his charm, I signed a lease there that day. Keep in mind, I had planned to look at about 7 apartments and created a list of things I wanted to look for. The Equinox had it all, but what put it over the top was Jorge. Every time there was an issue, he was able to find workable solutions quickly. I do appropriate him for the help he gave me with this transition. Jorge is the man.
I would not recommend living here. For the price you can find significantly better living situations in more exciting parts of Houston. The units and building itself are decent, but upon closer look there are significant issues that are hard to look past. If you choose to live here, you will likely feel that your money is going towards amenities and services that you never receive, or at least receive poorly. To begin: you have no choice of internet provider, and have to get internet from Gigamonster, the most frustrating company I have ever had to deal with. If your internet ever goes out, expect to be told inconsistent information by Gigamonster reps who offer no real updates and refuse to send techs to your apartment for about a week before randomly deciding to service your unit and fixing the problem in 10 minutes. You also shouldn’t expect the garage to be a secure place for your car. The entrance gate is VERY regularly kept open 24 hours for days at a time, during which literally anybody could enter. During my time living here, there have been 2 separate thefts of 8 car wheels (all four wheels from two cars) within 5 months of each other on the third floor. One person’s wheels were stolen in both of these incidents, and both times management did nothing but apologize while distancing themselves from any sort of responsibility whatsoever. You’ll be paying for secure garage access and 24/7 security camera monitoring, neither of which seem to actually happen in a meaningful way. While I’m at it — the hot tub/spa in the pool area? It’s actually a “mini pool,” (quote from the leasing office) despite the fact that the pool rules mention a spa. Not the end of the world, but the fact that the hot tub broke and management apparently could never be bothered to fix it is telling.Overall, while my bad experiences here overshadowed the good, it was a relatively comfortable place to live, and my apartment unit in and of itself was nice. Only ever saw one roach in my unit and it was the only living pest I saw in the building. That’s where the second star is coming from. That said, I will be leaving this community for one that I hope to feel much safer and more secure in, and one that doesn’t take my money and use it to contract incompetent third parties.EDIT (response to Owner’s comment): We’ve met! I discussed the most recent wheel theft with y’all the day after it happened and my experience was the same as with the previous management. I have also tried to contact the office several times recently and have been put through to voicemail every time. You have shut down the online resident portal (which includes maintenance requests) and don’t answer the phone to address resident issues. Why would you buy a property if you’re not prepared and willing to deal with its shortcomings?
This apartment complex is a scam. There’s no security and management is rude and not helpful at all. Don’t waste your time find somewhere else to live!! This place is so dangerous!
Dont feel safe even as a guest. Would not recommend!
Met new office people today. Seem nice.
Overall, a good place to live if you work in the medical center. Its more affordable than other complexes closer to the medical center at the expense of a little drive or bike.
Bad customer service. Guy acted as if i was bothering him. Never stood to greet me nor introduce himself. No toilet paper in either steak of ladies room. Was looking for 1 br.
No complaints. Secure. Conveniently located. A few perks. A nice view from my apartment. Fitness room, business center, club lounge... I love it!
Would give 0 stars if it was possible.
I regret signing a lease here. My apartment was not cleaned properly before my move in date. There were bugs and issues with my apartment prior to moving in.
Terrible service and maintenance masquerading as a safe and luxurious place to live. Don’t rent here!
I lived here from summer 2019-2020Pros:The apartment was pretty nice and looked good. The bathroom, room and closet were HUGE and very spacious. The pool and business areas were really nice as well although I wish the coffee maker was a little easier to use.The locker system for packages was really useful, safe and convenient. The leasing office staff is pretty nice and was always helpful with my questions. They put a lot of effort into their events and holiday themes.Cons:My car got broken into during quarantine. The garage was broken and left open for a week leading to the break in.My bedroom faced Old Spanish Trail and there is NO soundproofing at all. At night, literally any car or truck that drove past was amplified because of their speed and proximity. The walls are so thin that I could sit in my bedroom and hear my neighbors talking in their apartment. I also had neighbors confront me for stomping when I was literally walking around? Similar thing happened with my upstairs neighbors where they sounded like they were just POUNDING the floor but weren’t doing anything out of the ordinary. It made quarantine really obnoxious. The gym equipment was broken or missing pretty often. The fee to use their internet provider (which you cannot opt out of) was so expensive ($90/month) for mediocre service.
My A/C has not been working for 2 weeks now ! In Houston, tx . I wake up drenched in sweat everyday I’ve been told this would be fixed for 2 weeks but still it’s 80 degrees in my apartment.
If i chose to live in a cardboard box or this complex, i’d choose to live in the cardboard box
Stayed here briefly, very nice apartments.
Management is the rudest they do not care about their residents.
Management does not have the safety and security of its tenants in mind. I would save your money and live somewhere that takes its tenants more seriously.
I really like these apartments! The inside is super up to date with the hardwood floors and stainless steel appliances. Parking is super easy, even for guests! The staff is very friendly and helpful! The community center, pool, gym, and hallway is very beautiful and always clean! The location is easily accessible to the medical center and midtown! I have absolutely no complaints!
Just moved in, and so far, so good. The apartment is fully upgraded and the complex has a lot of amenities. Apartment was mostly ready upon arrival, however did have some toilet, dishwasher and random other things that needed attention. However, maintenance has been very responsive to my work order requests, which I hope continues. Management is welcoming, helpful and seemingly wants to get stuff done, so I hope they stay for a long time. The parking garage and driveway to pull into parking garage are tight around the corners, especially if you have a big car or are not used to it. But I havent noticed any trash lying about like others have mentioned. I also havent noticed a whole lot of noise around the complex, however I do hear some street noise but I dont think its unbearable. Location is good. Close proximity to downtown, medical center, and interstates. The complex has electronic locks and is an interior style complex which I like for the added security compared to the typical garden style complexes. Looking forward to some community events and meeting new people!
I went here and got a tour yesterday, the leasing associate was really nice and guided on the tour because I didn’t want to be alone. The place was overall clean. The other thing I didn’t like was the staged apartment he showed me for starters, the tub has rust, the oven and floor wasn’t cleaned! Go forbid the fridge has roaches inside. The elevator took so long! I asked how many elevators did they have his response was one. I mean this doesn’t make sense at all on move in day how was I get all my stuff usually places have a freigh. I do see potiental with this place but for god sakes come on!
The Equinox is a beautiful complex with great amenities, but what makes it so special is the staff. The manager, Jenny, and her team have welcomed A Shelter for Cancer Families into their community with open arms. We lease several apartment units at the Equinox for cancer families undergoing cancer treatment in the Texas Medical Center. Jenny and her staff go above and beyond to make these families feel welcome and comfortable. The staff is quick to respond, respectful, and accommodating both to our cancer families and to our staff at A Shelter for Cancer Families. We are grateful for each staff member who makes living at the Equinox a true home. I highly recommend the Equinox to anyone searching for their next home in a caring community.
The security is trash ! So bad !
Great location! The staff were very professional, respectful and informative. Crystal took me to tour the community and I felt like she truly cared about my wants/needs for my home. I would have leased at Equinox but they do have breed restrictions..so I have leased elsewhere. They did have really nice views as well.
Broken elevator when when my movers come so $300ish out of my pocket, told it was not their problem well thats what it is, walk outside and find... the other elevator which looks like it dropped with no barricade so I put a trash can in front so no kids pets stuble in.. smh...Ironic to say the least.. hopefully no one was in there when it happened.. The floor of the elevator is sitting below the ground floor... wowAlso you might might high walking through the halls lolAnd I pay for a reserved spot and its taken about a month for it to be open most of the time, but not always, I came home from PA to find someone who dosent even pay the extra fee in my spot 🤣 this place needs to gets its stuff in order.. And if you speak to anyone who lives here they will tell you the same story and they are all itching to leave.. cars broken into, broken elevators etc no thanks.. the when I travel I will not leave my car in the joke of a “locked garage” no thanks..!
Thank goodness for Jenny and Ashley. I was in a major bind, needed to find a place immediately. They moved heaven and earth for me so I could move in on Monday. I got to town on Saturday, had no idea where I would live, just knew I needed to be in the Med Center. I feel like Im an expert now (or at least have someone I can call if I need something). I will definitely be using the shuttle, and youll find me at the pool on Saturday!
Since new management has taken over, this place has gotten so much nicer! Lots of resident events and quick responses from maintenance. The staff genuinely care and love to help out when you need it! Great location from the medical center and the shuttle is free.
I’ve lived her for 2 years now, mainly renewed because of the pandemic to avoid moving with everything going on or I would’ve LEFT. For starters, the move- in process is horrible! The big elavator is not centrally located so it’s a task if you’re doing it without alot of help. They make you park outside the garage where it’s no where near your apt or the elevator to move in. There is spider webs by your mailbox’s, the stairways smell and also courtyard amenities are not cleaned regularly. The price we pay is not what is broken down when shopping. For ex, valet, internet are automatically billed to you without being able to decide if you consent or not. The internet installation process was poor took months to set up. When that was in place I was enrolled in services via direct tv/sent bills. When I first moved i asked about onsite security and was told that’s not a service they provide, yet I now see someone driving around in their personal car looking in the parking lot (no badge or anything) the fire alarms go off maybe every month and wakes you up,. When the keys to get into the garage malfunction mid day you may get stuck outside because no one will assist you. There is a call service that literally is confused when you call for assistance and says just wait until they open again. The price should be lower since many amenities have been closed for months. You pay for luxury but get average experiences here.
Ive lived here for about 17 months. The place still needs a little work but the new management seems to be doing what they can as fast as possible. They have security guards but there are still some issues with cars occasionally being broken into. But the apartments are nice, its usually pretty quiet here. I never hear my neighbors. There is the occasional loud group out at the pool until like 3am but rarely and Im far enough away that it doesnt really bother me. The prices are very good for this area. The new dog park is really nice. The pool area since the renovation looks great although I couldnt get the TV to come on. The new carpet and paint in the hallways looks much better. The gym is pretty decent and never crowded. Overall, my experience, since the new management took over, is good so I renewed my lease for another year.
Lovely apartment complex. Would love it if they expanded the dog park and spruced up the pool area. Other than that, it has everything necessary. Unfortunately rent creeps up the longer you live there (from what I hear), but as of yet my rent has stayed low.
Apartment and facilities are nice and modern. Internet provider seems to have lots of issues and cleanliness of garage could be improved. Gym is not in great condition but definitely good enough to get a quick cardio session in. Overall, great experience and can’t beat the price in how close you are to the Med Center.
This property is grossly mismanaged.- There is trash constantly in the stairwells which is not picked up.- The shuttle service to the med center is a joke - the schedules constantly change and no notification is given to riders when it does. The drivers blast their choice of music very loudly so you cannot read or relax while riding. This is the apartments problem, not the bus, because the apartment is the client of the shuttle, not you. If you bring up issues to the shuttle company they are ignored since youre not the customer. If you bring up these issues with the apartment to settle with the shuttle company, it gets dropped and not resolved.- This apartment forces you to get cable and internet at above market rates from satellite. You have no option other than to get their package which is in addition to your rent. It is impossible to get resolutions on issues with the account, since you are not the account holder, the apartment is.- The gym is in constant disrepair -- half of the equipment is broken or missing (and from the early 90s), and there is no response or effort from management to repair or replace it.- The front office staff is completely non-responsive. No issues get resolved or followed up on regardless of how many times they are brought up. There is zero accountability of management to fix any issues that residents have.- Cars get broken into in the garage. One car had all their rims stolen and was left on blocks for weeks in the garage with a police line do not cross tape around it.- There was an actual murder in the parking garage.- One apartment had constant loud domestic violence to the point that the cops were called. They got evicted which was the second time in 7 months that someone had been evicted from the same apartment!Do yourself a favor and find a different apartment to stay at - this place is literally the worst.
I feel like this complex is like living in a resort. I love the security of the garage and walking to my apartment. And the amenities are killer!!
Great place to reside in the med district of Houston.
Just moved in last week on Monday, but everything has gone smoothly and the staff have all been extremely nice and helpful with everything I have asked about. Nothing to complain about at all. Everything is very clean and the amenities are great!
Just moved here three days ago and already I’m regretting my decision to move here. I do not recommend Equinox Houston to anyone. First of all, you can’t have your own separate internet. No Xfinity or AT&T. Which is fine whatever, however I expect the internet and customer service to be impecable. Gigamonster is their internet service provider. A day before we moved in we called to set up our internet. They never showed up or even gave us a call to let us know they were on their way. They lied and said we never answered the phone or our door. Now, our niece’s car got towed. The first thing we did and were very sure of was where can our guest park. The front office told us anywhere as long as it doesn’t say reserved. So we told our niece to park on the first floor. The next morning her car was gone. We call the front office to see what happened and this is where they story completely changes. They informed us that guest have to park on the fifth floor. No one ever clarified this with us. And the lady that informed us first no longer works here. So they dropped the ball bad. We were misinformed and still have not heard back from the front office. I strongly do not recommend this apartment complex to anyone. Avoid Equinox Houston apartments. Renters be warned.I wish I can give no stars
Tomorrow is my last day at the Equinox. It used to be a great place to live - I moved in before Harvey, right after all the major renovations occurred. It was a quiet complex with respectable residents. Im a nurse and student, both working and attending school in the Med Center, which is why I chose to live here. Also, there was a night security guard by the gate, which made me feel safe. Last summer, we had a shooting resulting in one fatality, and if I am correct, none of the participants involved actually lived here, so who knows how they got in and what happened. I know of two drug-related break-ins, one occurring on 7/4/19 to to apartment right across from me, in broad daylight. Car tires get jacked all the time. Our business center was robbed. The gate timer is so slow that visitors can sneak in behind residents to the garage. When I let management know about this, particularly Melissa, she told me We are not responsible for your safety. She wrote it in an email to me when I complained about the break-in, and then she repeated it ad nauseum during a face to face meeting we had. She called the neighborhood rough and said these things may be expected. Im from Chicago, Ive lived in rough neighborhoods, the Med Center isnt one. If Equinox wishes to remain a luxury apartment, it needs to step up its game concerning safety. And it needs to have better talking points: We cannot guarantee your safety, feels both dismissive and feels like an awful excuse.
I went to tour and because my ID wouldn’t scan they wouldn’t give me a tour, and made me sit and look at iPhone quality pictures instead. The leasing office is messy and they were like “if you have time to come back”. It took me 30 minutes to get there. Also, when I got to my car I downloaded an app to scan ID’s, and mine scanned just fine.
My agent suggested that I go visit this property to check out all the new renovations. After my tour with Whitney I definitely see why he pushed me to go. The property is amazing, and I was so amazed with all the new additions. Whitney made me feel super secure with making the decision to make equinox my new home. They met every need on my must have list on top of FREE shuttle, I was so taken back by the amount effort she put in the tour. Whitney made sure to take the time to answer every question before I left. I Cannot wait to move in September. Best tour ever 🙂
I have been living here for 7 months now.The pros: Good price (comparatively speaking), good location near the medical center, shuttle that goes to the med center, decent appliances, and spacious rooms. The cons: Trash rooms are not cleaned out often enough, club house closes at 5pm, gym is almost unusable due to low quality of equipment.Overall, good apartment for the price. I would recommend for someone who is looking for a spacious room with good location close to the medical center who doesnt want to break the bank and can do without the luxuries of a more expensive apartment.
I recently came by and toured with Courtney and the experience was awesome. I normally dont even write reviews, but everyone can relate to the stress of moving and my experience at this place made things easier. The tour was detailed and all of my questions were answered with no hesitation or inconsistency. The property has everything you would need, and the floorplans I saw were really nice. Ill be paying my application fee today and look forward to moving in.
Ive lived here for two years. The past year has been a bit rough given that the community was under renovation for the better part of 2017.That being said, now that the renovations are complete, WHAT AN UPGRADE!Love taking my dog to the pet park - Tyson is a little beagle - he goes nuts for the agility equipment. For me the best part is the location - I work in the Med Center, I use the shuttle, makes it easy.
I lived at Equinox for 2 years. The living environment is okay. The place is nice, considering what you’re paying and the location. In the two years I lived there, they had like 3 changes of management, in hopes of better service. Frankly, I think that does not help the tenants. When I tried to transfer units, my file got lost between the cracks and I ended up paying more than I should have (I got charged application fees all over again, my room deposit was not charted, and I got charged a fob fee [I already had a fob from my old unit, so I shouldn’t have paid this]. Again, the frequent changes in management are not helpful, and it’s a pain in the neck to deal with. Moreover, I had a load of move-out charges. I have a small 5 pound dog that is house broken and trained. I lost my pet deposit, and got charged more for ‘carpet damages’ that I was unsure I was responsible for. I did a walk through with a front office staff before I moved out to avoid charges like these. It was clear that I took care of my apartment, but a month after my move-out, I had all these carpet charges. Evidently, the walk-through was no help. I then asked to see proof that the carpet was indeed brand new when I moved in, and no one could show that to me.Lastly, Equinox partners with Conservice (utility expense management), and they are also very confusing to work with. Part of my move out charges were old utility bills that Conservice had just failed to bill me for. Again, very confusing, and very agitating. On a brighter note, maintenance was very fast and helpful! In sum, management is difficult to work with. The physical appearance of the place is good. Utility management is bad. Maintenance staff is good. At the end, you get less than what you pay for.
This is the worst apartment complex I have ever lived at. The front office is nice and polite but gets absolutely nothing done. I showed up from a cross country move and my apartment wasn’t ready after having already signed the lease, so I had to pay extra for a bigger one unit... on top of that was told there is nothing they can do about 60 day notice because it’s in the lease, the same one that they destroyed and made new because my actual apartment wasn’t ready. Would never recommend this place, ever.
I moved in in June of this year and immediately had difficulty. The move-in process was disorganized and the apartment wasn’t finished being cleaned for move-in despite them having more than a month’s notice on the lease.Since then, I have noticed that many of the amenities are in disrepair, which is interesting considering many are new. The gym equipment is broken and many items are missing. I brought this to the attention of management when I moved in, but nothing has been done about it despite me emailing every few weeks and being promised repeatedly that the equipment has been ordered.Other issues include: cockroaches seem to be an issue in the warm months, the garage gates are frequently broken, and there was a murder on my floor in the garage (check the news!). I think there are better complexes for the money. Finally, if you work in the medical center and plan to take the free shuttle, keep in mind that the schedule changes without notices and the buses are frequently late. Sometimes they don’t come at all. I have contacted the shuttle service several times and they have never responded.Good luck with your home search!
Staff is helpful and accommodating; quick to resolve issues. Conveniently located near the highway and to work. Only issue was with the internet/tv issue when moving in- wasnt working initially and took a while with a few setbacks but it eventually was resolved. Only comment is if the carpets could be deodorized a bit more often outside in the hallways. otherwise, great :)
Updated: Moved in and am liking it so far, with the exception of the things others have mentioned repeatedly. Im going to give it a month before giving my final verdict, but so far, its not too bad. Added a star.I submitted my application over two weeks ago and have not received any correspondence from any of the staff. I took the liberty of calling one week after applying, was told everything looked good and was now just waiting for the manager to sign off. I called again seven days later and was told my application packet was being worked on, everything looked good to go, and I would be getting a call the next day as well as the lease sent digitally. I never received a call, nor an email regarding my move-in and I only have two weeks to get things situated. If I wasnt such a planner, I guess this wouldnt be a huge deal, but with limited availability during the week its quite stressful not knowing if youll have a place to live when your lease is expired. Very disappointed. If this is just the beginning of a 13 month struggle, maybe I should really reconsider other options.2-Stars because the little bit of the complex I did get to see appeared clean and the staff was nice while touring.
I’ve been here since Dec 2017.The lack of professionals here was evidently and notoriously in the past. Today things are doing way better with the new management team.Still things to work on it, we’ll see...if you want a professional, accurate and proactive service ask for Courtney Caesar. She will make sure that any question, requires or concerns gets taking care of.
Love Equinox!! Such a beautiful property and a without a doubt a place to call home. Avery is so sweet and attentive along with all the wonderful staff. They truly make you feel like family. The location is RIDICULOUSLY AWESOME near all the great food and shopping has to offer!! Make the right move and come home to Equinox!!Ps they’re currently running a special...
Ive been living here for 3 years and its a good place to live. Luxurious living at an affordable price. New management came in earlier this year and have been working hard to make this place as good as new. Multiple renovation projects underway concurrently along with some new amenities - renovation of the pool, renovation of the courtyard, transitioning the lighting to LED, extensive cleaning of the parking garage, providing valet trash services, apartment butler, night guard, gym upgrades and cleaning of the dog park. Ive never seen this big renovation effort at any other place. Management folks listen to the complains and work on resolving the issues. Maintenance folks are friendly and helpful. They came and helped us around 10:30pm at night even when they dont have an obligation to come in and help after dark. Management sometimes dont resolve the maintenance issues in a timely manner but I assume its because of the multiple renovation projects happening across the community. Landscape is always maintained and great common area to host get togethers.
I’m absolutely in love with my Apartment! Jenny made me feel comfortable right away from move in and I couldn’t be happier. I love the pool, I love the staff, and I truly love how easy they made our life with moving in.
I love this place but the security is trash ! My husband got all 4 of his tires stolen in the garage and they cracked his window. We both have really nice cars and now I’m worried about the safety of both vehicles. I don’t know why we have a gated garage if it’s not safe to park our cars. We pay way too much $ to have to worry about the safety of our vehicles. It’s kind of scary. The place is nice but I’m not sure if I can live here longer just doesn’t feel safe anymore . They don’t have any cameras in the garage , what’s the point of having a gated garage with no security .
Nice apartments. I visited a friend and enjoy the stay. Nice place
I would agree with some reviews that administration needs to crack the whip with certain things. The main problem is the residents, because administration is very good, accommodating and nice.1. Trash - residents insist on leaving bags of trash by the trash bin in the garage instead of throwing it down the chute. Its just dirty. Fixing this alone would make a big difference.2. Parking - some residents drive really fast in the parking lot, need to slow down. Also, they need to crack down on guests parking wherever they want. They need to make good on their promise to tow cars that arent where they should be. Ive had to park 2-3 floors about once a week because its always packed.3. Noise - I know some people complain, there is a little noise here and there, but I dont think its more than any other apartment complex. If you want absolute silence, go to the top floor or dont live in an apartment building.4. Pool - pool is nice. Sometimes theres people around having a BBQ. Everyone has always been very pleasant though. I liked the pool.5. Gym- complete and spacious. A good thing to have.6 Area - the area is just ok. You cant really walk anywhere. You have house your car all the time, period. All in all, if a few things were corrected, this place would be excellent. It loses a few point for the things mentioned above. I just moved out now to a different area for work, but if this same apartment was closer, Id probably stay. Its reasonably priced for all the amenities you get.
The apartment is centrally located in the med center. Its close enough to downtown for a $7 uber but far enough away from the congestion around high times of traffic. My apartment is spacious and it comes with great amenities. I wish the parking garage had more lighting when youre traveling up floors. Though speed signs are posted, there is little adherence, so it can be quite dangerous traveling to the various floors. I have lived here less than a year and theyve switched managers. The new manager is not great with people but she has really improved the safety and appearance of the complex and she is the reason I am giving four stars instead of 3.
Hello future apartment hunters, I have just recently moved from the equinox. And I can start off by saying I’m a college student and I was thrilled to get away from campus. The first week of me moving in, it was a deadly shooting that left a man dead. A interesting way to welcome yourself into a new apartment huh? In addition, the apartment had so many issues. With the trash, smelling up the hallways.. the valet trash fee we pay is unnecessary because they don’t arrive on time, I took my trash out everyday since I’ve stayed there. The management has changed 3 times, and continues to change. Very unprofessional, rude and unorganized. Especially Melissa who lies and doesn’t help her residents. Then to add the key fob barely works! The garage is a place where I felt unsafe a young woman being stopped by men constantly driving in cars. This place is ghetto, fifthly, and unprofessional. I will NEVER recommend anyone to stay here! I have sent so many people else where. Great price, horrible PLACE!!!
The people at leasing office are nice and efficient. Maintenance is quick. The apartments are fairly new.
This is great a place I just got a lease here and everything has been a breeze so far so good I will be sure to keep it updated
Would not recommend.
Great apartment for the price. Needs a bit of small improvements out in the hallways, pool area, and garden areas. A good cleaning would go a long way. Overall a nice place.
Place was really nice when I moved in back in 2009 (lived here 09-15) but has since gone downhill. Though maintenance is still great, but the building itself has been over run and is way too expensive. Pool is way over crowded and grills sometimes work. Alarms always going off, residents leave trash next to the chute, I would say the residents are the main issue. This property managers need to crack the whip if they want to save this place.
The AC got broken once every week. In Houston AC is a necessity for living. However, it took maintenance forever to fix the AC and I have to look for places to stay and have to put ice in my room during night cuz I still need to sleep in my room. Nobody ever answers the phone at the leasing office. The person at the online message team is rude as hell. This place is AWFUL but still damn expensive. Dont rent it. BTW the corridor smells really trashy. I feel like living in a trash bin every time I walk into the building.
Decent place for the price. I wish the gym had more options, and I wish the clubhouse was open later. Id recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a place that doesnt break the bank, and who can do without the amenities that a lot of other apartments offer. Its also about a 10 minute drive to the medical center.
I move in to Equinox Apartments in the spring of 2018 on a recommendation of a friend. I have loved the community so far. The apartments are spacious and appliances are new and well maintained. The maintenance people are also very prompt in handling all requests. There are only a few downsides to the community. The internet service that we are forced to take is very spotty and their customer service is equally unprofessional. The apartment management could also increase the frequency of cleaning the carpets in the hallways.
Easy, quick efficient move in! Friendly staff and a beautiful place
Great complex with a great community mindset, lots of planned activities and initiatives to make it a great place for everyone living there. Kourtney at the leasing office was fantastic and really gave solid answers to questions and not just air.
This is simply the first review as I will update throughout my time with Equinox! I’ve been here since end of March and things have progressed extremely! My experience started off rough, had a hard time getting in contact with leasing consultants to simply get an apartment. When I FINALLY signed my lease literally 3 days later it was an ENTIRE new staff, maybe a couple weeks later it was another set of new staff. They have a new property manager who seems to be working her butt off because there has been a lot of changes in simply the few months I’ve been here. They have thrown a lot of resident events this summer and unfortunately I’ve been out of town for every single one BUT the brunch!!! They also post frequently on Instagram which I get notifications for so I can see what events they have going on.Of course nothing is perfect, I’ll probably say the worst thing here is the parking garage, it’s a bit crammed and I wish the towing was more consistent. People need to understand their guest need to park on the 5th & 6th floor! But back to the good news!Lately they’ve had food trucks in between us and district 28, Tuesday wine gatherings, pool gatherings and random breakfasts that include apples, bananas, granola bars, muffins and other pastries.I really enjoy every bit of it.So much I had a friend move in this month, and another is moving to Houston soon so I will he showing her around Equinox and hopefully she loves it!As I said before I’ll keep updating until my lease is up!
Ive loved living here at Equinox! We moved in 2 months ago and its been nothing but great!1) The staff has been SO kind and incredible. Theyve been extremely helpful with everything we have needed or asked for. Plus, whenever I see them, they always say hello or tell me to have a great day. I am super happy with how nice theyve been towards my husband and I!2) Our apartment is so new compared to our last place and we LOVE how big our space is, and for lower rent than we were previously paying! We were worried about our electricity bill, but its been lower and weve set our AC lower! Even being on the top floor, our unit never got above 80 degrees! Plus, it is so private and quiet. We dont have neighbors looking into our windows and aside from the occasional noise from our neighbors, its been really peaceful. We also havent had hardly any bugs in our apartment, which is super nice!Theres not many cons that I would note. People go too fast in the parking garage, but thankfully management has put up mirrors to see if cars are coming and they posted speed signs. I havent had any major issues though. The cable and internet was frustrating to set up at first, but once again, the leasing staff were SO helpful with this process and made it all worth it.My husband and I have really enjoyed living here this far. We feel so welcomed by the leasing staff and love our apartment :)
This review is for after the new company took over. Id give it 2 stars with the old company.trash: the company has done many things to clean up the residents trash problem. We now have a valet trash company that will pick up trash in front of your door during specific hours. There is a fine if instructions are not followed. Hopefully the residents will learn from these penalties.parking: parking is fair but it will get crowded around 5 pm. There is plenty of parking in higher floors though. However, the ramp is the big problem. Residents drive down this 2-way ramp like maniacs, causing accidents. Residents are also not considerate of others. Ive had tons of scratches, scrapes, and dents in my car and my guests. Embarrassing.safety: this is a big concern for me. Weve had multiple car and apartment thefts. The company did hire a security for after hours to sit near the gate, which I like, but its still so easy for anyone to get in and out of the apartment and garage. I live next to the garage door so I never feel safe.interior: the inside of the apartment is decent. I like the kitchen.maintenance: maintenance is very slow, which Im assuming because the new company is making many changes to the facility. Sometimes I have to call over and over again and wait days for things to get done. Sucks if your AC breaks, which happened to me few times.staff: theyre fairly nice, but I cant get in contact with them. Sometimes, Ill call them 3+ a day and will never get an agent pick up the phone even after I leave a voicemail. Its really annoying when I have to walk all the way down to settle an issue that can be done over the phone.carpet: the carpet in the hallway NEEDS constant upkeep or a brand new installment. I see that theyre trying to spray scents and vacuum every now and then, but the stench is just too much. They are stained with dog feces and pee. This is honestly embarrassing when I have guests over.gym: cant complain; could use some upkeep with equipment (rusty machines)office/club house: would like this open until a bit later.noise: Honestly, living in an apartment, you never know who youll get above your floor unless you live on the top floor. I, unfortunately, have a fat man who seems to run marathons with heels all day and night. I wear ear plugs to sleep, and now Im getting ear wax accumulation problems... I also happen to live right next to the door to the garage and the darn thing slams every 5-15 minutes. DO NOT make the same mistake.pool: took forever to reopen for reconstruction but its open nowBills/fees: I feel like i pay a pretty expensive fee thats not worth all the pain I went through here. I have to pay an extra 85$ for cable when I dont even have a TV. Just ridiculous.Overall, I would not live here again. I had such a horrific time here since the beginning, which I wont say since the new company took over... Im not sure if anything can really make it better though. Unless they lower the apt. costs and get rid of the stupid cable fees, maybe Ill reconsider.
The previous reviews are correct! I am currently in the middle of signing a lease with them and it has been a HORRIBLE process. BIG MISTAKE! I have talked to about 6 different people and everyone is on a different page. Make sure you get everything is writing because their word is no good. No one really knows whats going on. Also the previous people I have talked to have either left/got fired. That just makes me think that they are doing something wrong. Yes, they maybe making improvements but the management is still not good. Do yourself a favor and learn from my mistakes. FIND ANOTHER APARTMENT. I dont have enough time or else I would be doing the same. Now 6months later....My car was involved in a hit and run in the garageMy credit card, both mine and my husbands credit is stolen inside our apartment . Safety is a big issue and management is helpless. We need cameras in the common area and garage. Also my apartment has not been broken in but maintenance comes in when were needed. No more.
I give 2 stars only for location. The management in this complex is poor they never answer the phone when you need their services! I literally just went down stairs after 10:30am & they have the lights off on their phone meanwhile my apts AC is stuck on 80 degrees for the past 5 days in this summer heat! The lights and cable that’s mandatory for you to have cuts off every time it thunders outside! All the garage lights turn off which is completely unsafe (especially after being told someone was killed in the parking garage) it’s so dark you can easily be robbed! Also no cameras are visible to sight! Also the garage clicker/key they give you does not always work after the power goes out so you have to travel to different garage doors just to even get inside to your apartment! All in all you can get a way more efficient place for almost $1300 a month for a 1 bedroom somewhere else in a safer environment!
I really do like my apartment but the noise is unbearable. You can hear the loud street constantly, which with time you get used to, but it is CRAZY that I could hear every step my upstairs neighbor takes. It has caused me tremendous daily stress. It is obviously a structural issue since others complain about the same situation. Trust me you will wake up whenever your neighbor wakes up.. Security is a big issue here as well. Multiple cars have been broken into and even some violent incidents have occurred. When I first moved in, you couldnt even get into the garage because the gate was constantly broken. They also require you to pay for mandatory internet and cable which is ridiculous given the fact that some of us do not utilize those services and for me, they didnt even work for months.
We went by these apartments for a tour and the person working who’s name was Ryan took one look at us and would barely give us the time of Day. He needs to work on his service skills because instead of being inviting, he was condescending about our budget as well as throughout the whole tour. Very disappointed in this new management as well as employees.
I dont like monopolies. Giga monsters, our internet/cable provider is a prime example. I was told that when I move into my new apartment, all I had to do was buy a new router and call giga mosters to have my services turned on. This could not be further from the truth. The truth is, once you move in, you have to schedule a technician to come into your apartment and turn internet services on. There was no available appoinments that week. We had to wait ! I contacted the leasing office and told they me that they would call giga and try to have some sort of alternative solution rather than waiting a few days. No one called me back. I had to fight with giga monster to have a tech come earlier as my husband works from home and desperatetly needs the internet. After many calls and hours later, a tech was scheduled a few days later. My apartment has cockrouches! Yes! I notified the leasing office and as I told one the lovely ladies, I was waiting for the normal, empathetic response that I never recieved and rather was told that I would need to wait until Tuesday as this is the only day that the pest control guy comes. I guess I could live with rouches for almost a week? I cant imagine any one else wanting to live with a pest! Do you? Today is Tuesday, August 27th and the pest control guy finally showed up and sprayed my apartment. ONLY six days later after living with these pests. During this week, for some reason my toilet stopped working. It had no water supply. I noticed that my sink did had running water so I immediately called the leasing office. I spoke with someon and assured me that someone from maintenace would come up and check it out soon. Lunch time came and went and nothing. I called again. I believe Kelly answered the phone and said that everyone was out to lunch but she will contact the maintenace supervisor and will conting me with an update. Few hours passed and I still had a non-functioning toilet. I then discovered that I could place a work order myself through the residentail portal, which I did. Lord and behold, not an hour passed by and someone did showerd up and was able to fix my toilet. Now, about the building itself. The hallways have carpet that could be cleaned out a bit. There are stains on them. My idea of a luxury apartments does not really aling with what I see aroud. This is not to say that everything is all bad. Im just simply sharing my experience thus far. Only one week into moving in. Absolutely love my new apartment but just like everything, there is always room for improvement.
I pre-arranged a visit to see the apartments. When I got there the guy at the leasing office didnt even show me any apartments or was very rude. I considered me as a homeless guy. Dont lease from this place.
The management is incredibly irresponsible, unprofessional, lazy, and careless. Two weeks ago, all 4 wheels (rims and tires included) of my car were stolen inside the Equinox garage, which is gated and has security. In total, it was a loss of $3,500. While the management had seen my car in this state before I did, they did not notify the police. I have made 2 requests to have my garbage disposal fixed and it has been 3 weeks and no one has yet shown up. The cabinet under the sink is leaking continuously and Im having to keep a bucket under the sink to collect the water because maintenance has not come to fix it. This happened once before and that entire cabinet had to be redone. One of the hallways most frequently used had vomit all over the wall and on the floor and when I made a complaint to the office, they told me it was not an emergency and so no one came to clean it up. One of the staff members in the office said, All I do is smile and give information when I complained about this, even though they have access to requesting work orders. That hallway remained that way for 3 or 4 days or so. The door knob for that hall has been broken for several weeks and no one has fixed it. The office lost a check my roommate had deposited and also lost my remote key (which I paid $75 for) that was handed to them. When we asked for a replacement, they demanded we pay them $75 again, even though they lost the key. A lot of appliances keep breaking or stop functioning frequently, but maintenance can go an entire week or more before showing up. Meanwhile, the management spents a ton of money and time repainting the walls amd changing the carpet instead of dealing with real issues, such as theft, for example. Regardless of all of these issues, you will end up paying a lot to top it off. I am utterly disappointed by this place and I am waiting for my contract to finish so I can find a nicer place with proper management. I moved in only 6 months ago (with the new management in place) and I have had so many problems with them; my sister has been living here for 3 years (including when the old management was in place) and she said she never had these issues until recently, when the ownership changed.
Moved in June, good so far for the price and location. The apartments are modern and nice. The gym is kinda small but has good equipments and the pool is really nice. No issues with safety (i read online before i moved in, but good so far). But I really dont like the required internet provider or the cable service (direct path and direct tv). Directpath is very confusing and they really dont know what their doing and the office tells you to finish everything with them. Just make sure they dont charge you extra fees, you are already paying a monthly fee included in rent. If you get a bill, contact them directly and speak to a supervisor for both directv and direct path.
So this review is slightly different considering that I do not live here. But I believe that its even worse that I was never a resident and still treated so poorly. My friends live here but I am over so often & experience what they do so I am writing this to tell everyone to STAY AWAY. I almost applied for an apartment here but after witnessing what my friends had to go through, I am so glad I didnt. The main thing I want to bring to light to anyone reading this is how poorly the staff will treat you. Mainly, Melissa Hickson. My friend had an ESA and they charged her a total of around $700 even after she brought to their attention that he was an ESA. The emails were also very passive aggressive saying that they have cameras (so you cant argue with them Im guessing) even though it was the very first email of notice sent. She wrote a negative review the night that she was wrongfully charged because she was frustrated and she stated all the FACTUAL complaints she had in the review (its the long one written 2 weeks ago). Granted, the review was a bit harsh but the facts were still 100% true.I went with her to speak to management one day because I was already there and since she had to take her ESA off the premises due to the violation charges, she asked me to go with her for emotional support in case she needed it (she has anxiety & panic attacks). When we walked into Melissa Hicksons office which is apparently the head leasing lady (I dont see how), my friend brought up the ESA violation questions and Melissa asked her to pull up the registration because she claimed that they never received it (we later proved her wrong with an email containing the papers that was sent to the office months prior). OUT OF NOWHERE in complete silence, she said very rudely that review that you wrote was very interesting. I asked interesting how? She said it was full of lies, was clearly written in anger, and was child-like. I said to her, so are you calling her childish? She said I am calling the review childish, yes. Immediately I was rubbed the wrong way and wanted to be out of there. My friend told her there werent any lies and showed her the email that she was asked to bring up. Everything regarding the ESA went ok from there on, but I wanted to make note of some very disrespectful things that happened. She told us while we were sitting there, it doesnt even matter because negative reviews dont hurt us. I said to her so youre saying that your residents opinions dont matter to you? And she just kept repeating that the negative review would not hurt them and it was childish. I asked her if this is the type of customer service she gives everyone. I asked her if I was wrong saying that customer service, hospitality, sales industry workers were supposed to be polite. She said reviews are supposed to be polite. They are not, it is a negative review for a reason and my friend was given the option to rate it however she felt the need. It was such a horrible experience and we left. After awhile, we came back to ask her to print out my friends lease to go over it. She did so, and said she had to get on a call immediately, basically throwing us out of her office. What made it okay was that she told us to come back later in the day or give her a phone call. We said okay and left. A few hours later, my friend got an email saying that she is not welcome back into the leasing office because of our inappropriate behavior and claimed that we used vulgar language to an associate (NEVER happened) so my friend could only communicate through email so that it could be documented. BUT the kick was, that we only had two hours until the leasing office closed and she was taking forever to respond. PLUS we read the agreement and saw that my friend was overcharged for the violation. Melissas response to this was that they send the same email and overcharge everyone bc its easier, basically.Anyways, my friends lease is ending next month and they cant wait to be out because they dont want to be around the staff any longer.
I loved that the Equinox has nice spacious apartments. The staff waa very friendly and the community is pet friendly.
If I could rate this apartment complex negative stars, I would. From the first days of move in (August 2018) up until my last days here (July 2019), this apartment and the management have done nothing but disappoint me. I never write negative reviews and Ive really tried to bite my tongue but Im tired of this unfair treatment. Here are some of the reasons why I HATE THIS PLACE:-I had no carpet in my closet for the first 2 weeks of living here.-Wifi (that they make us pay for) is spotty so if you work from home or go to school, your best bet is to just go to Starbucks-There was so much mold growing under the kitchen sink and it stank so badly-The leasing office delayed my move in to later at night because they forgot that we were moving in-Girls from leasing office are rude/passive aggressive-Everyone in leasing office is fake when you first meet them but then they turn into devils afterwards-They charged me TONS and TONS of “PET fee” for my emotional support animal which is illegal btw. I got my emotional support dog for my anxiety in May and didnt receive the certification until June. They proceeded to charge us more than $500 for an unauthorized pet so I sent in all of the papers to certify that the dog was an emotional support dog. They took off the $500 fee but still continued to charge us $100 and now they just charged us more money on top of it. I will be pressing charges if they dont take care of this before I leave.-They charge us a mandatory $80/month for direct tv and internet and it doesn’t even work-They give you dirty apartments when you first move in-Bugs are everywhere even though they charge us a pest control fee-They charge us tons of money for rent and while the amenities are super nice, the management here makes everything SUCK-Hot tub doesn’t even work-The only reason why this apartment complex reviews are somewhat decent is because their employees write them (If you look at the Equinox Facebook page, all of the good reviews were written by the same names as the listed employees)-When I first moved in, the doors and garage didn’t even work so I couldn’t even get into my own apartment-There was a murder on the 4th level of the garage and theres constantly car break ins… this place is actually dangerous.Overall, this place is nice but theres so many more cons than there are pros. Do yourself a big favor and DONT RENT HERE. Theres so many great apartments in the med center area that dont scam their tenants. I cant wait to get out of here.P.S. The websites pictures of the apartment complex are really nice but it doesnt even look like that so save yourself time and dont even tour here.
Been living here for 8 months now, and my experience here has progressively gotten worse. The management tries, but many residents that live here are just super disrespectful. Every week, at least one dog would poop on a carpeted hallway and the owner would not clean after it. Littering is common. There are always yelling and screaming from the court yard, sometimes well into 2-3 am in the morning on weekdays. Noise insolation is pretty terrible here, and getting more unbearable. Will see if the apartment management tries to do anything about it. Loud noise after midnight on a weekday is ridiculous. Would probably move once my contract is done. The cheaper price of this apartment is not worth the trashy living environment.
Please save yourself the headache of dealing with management, and the property owners. The property owners are not professional whatsoever, and do not care about their residents. I was charged fees when I moved out that made no sense as I left my apartment in perfect condition, and I had pictures to prove so. Management did not care, and did not care to review the photos with me at all. It is disappointing as I lived there about two years and never was late on a payment or any other violations. I also had to live with lots of damage to my apartment after Hurricane Harvey for weeks and did not say a word about it until I found mold. The fact that I am being charged fees for non-existent issues is disappointing. So again, I would advise against moving in here.
Staff is always helpful and friendly. Problem get solved quickly I never had a problem repair.
