Kasturi a well known restaurant to the people of Guwahati. It was opened in the year 1990. Initially this restaurant earned a huge numbers of likes from the customers. The coffee served here was most famous during that period. I was then a college student. Though the restaurant was a little bit expensive, still the food, snacks, breakfasts are tasty. Once the Kasturi restaurant was very famous amongst the boys and girls, but gradually this repo been decreased, due to the thousands of upcoming restaurants in every corner of the city. Places of interests nearby are District Library, Rabindra Bhawan, Museum, Dighlipukhuri (A Lake) and shopping malls. Kasturi restaurant is only half kilometre from Guwahati Railway station.
Food quality is really bad
Even one star for this branch is not deserving. It was our worst experience ever in Bengali food. We are supper excited when came to know Kasturi in Guwahati. But the food has been served it was horrible and truly insulting of Hilsha lovers. None of the food was at per Kasutri stander what we get in Kolkata. When we tried to convey our concern to the restaurant management, he simply said not to expect fresh fish and mutton anywhere in the world. Its a huge disappointment.
