Makhan Bhog Restaurant one my favorite restaurant of Guwahati, Loved their sweets.

Wonderful Food experience!! Not so good parking experience! There is no dedicated parking for the restaurant. You have to park it on the main road and walk to the restaurant.Food is phenomenal! I had ordered 5 items.. all items paneer tikka, raj kachori, spring roll, pav bhaji, tasted yumm! But lassi was very disappointing..Sweets on the ground floor were of very good quality! You better purchase the sweets as soon as you enter the restaurant else it might get finished by the time you have your food.

One of the nice place in Guwahati for sweets and veg-delicacies. Neat and clean environment, friendly staff and good vegetarian food.

The service was very good and fast not like some other restaurant it didnt take much time. The food was hot and taste . The juice was awesome Choco Moco Chocolate .

The ambience of the place is good. The management is really poor. The cashier did a wrong billing, which raised worries as the bill was abnormally high. When cross checked the bill was made for 22 items, instead of 2, which is a blunder. They should have cross checked. Such kind of things should have been avoided at the first place.Moreover another person also seemed complaining about some foreign particle in a sweet. They should look into these kind of matters.

I visited it on 27th September, had one pyaji kashuri. Had to suffer from loose motion and still not recovered completely, having weakness and vertigo till today, the 4th October. Dont know when will be fully fit.

Quality wise its really good. Balushahi, Onion Kachori, Dhokla were really good.

Went there with my parents, sister and wife for dinner today. The place wasnt too crowded but the staff took a lot of time to take our orders. After taking the orders, the wait time was phenomenal considering the size of portions they were providing. On top of that the behaviour of the staff was quite rude, it was as if they dont care that we were there. They made us feel like they were doing us a favour by bringing us the meals and that waiting a long time to get our meals served was an obious thing to do. Even a simple dish like complimentary onions and lime took more than 5 minutes to arrive and on top of that the size of portions provided was also meagre. Its not that we had ordered very few items, the final bill came out to be Rs 1616. I would like to point out that the owners should not be so much money minded that they fail to teach their staff simple etiquettes.I will definitely not visit this restaurant ever again.

I must say this is a wonderful place to have delicious foods. Tried the Chilli garlic noodles & coffee along with sweets. It was damn too tasty. The ambiance is really good, and its very hygienic. You would not repent after visiting this place. Soothing music plays continuously, staff response is very good. Overall a very good and must visit place.

This place is awesome for all vegetarians. All the dishes here are of mostly good quality. The dosas served here are one of the best and are a must try !!. The chilly garlic noodles are also absolutely mouth watering. The pastas are good ,just the quantity needs to increase a bit .

Today I visited Makhan Bhog after a long time. It was happy to see that things are getting back to normal. And people have started going to the restaurants. Makhan Bhog is maintaining all kind of covid protocols. Their Staffs are wearing masks, gloves, Caps. And also the seats are been sanitized.Since Makhan Bhog has opened it has always been my favorite place to have chats and dosa. But today I am a bit upset because their quality has been detoriated than even. I had Masala dosa and Rajkachori chat. The Rajkachori was small and I found the chat to be blend. Like the masala was little less. And coming to the dosa, it was not as expected. The dosa was less crispy and also the salt was little less in the masala.Other wise their hospitality is good and their staffs are well behaved.And also their sweets are too yumm. You should taste their sweets. They are made in pure desi ghee. And it get vanished as soon as you put it in your mouth.

Very Bad quality of sweets. I wish if I could give negative 5 star. But it is not possible. After eating sweets of Makhan Bhog , it is very much possible that sweets lovers will give up eating sweets .

Good for sweets. South Indian food is not good there.

Good place to eat North and South Indian foods. Neat and clean atmosphere attracts more crowd. Attitude of service peoples are not good which will reduce the brand name. Its time to correct it by their management.

All kinds of sweets and savoury available here and really good quality. For the past couple of weeks , we had visited regularly an gor variety of sweets from here. I am in love with the Dry Gulab Jamun and Mihi Dana laddoos. One of the hygenic and open spaced sweet shop I know in Guwahati.

Had been to guwahati for a weekend trip and wanted to eat some good vegetarian food with friends and family so ended up at this place.I must say this place was very good with food.The food looked good, tasted good. But the ambiance wasnt like a restaurant.It was more of a sweet shop dining area. So if you are looking for good ambiance then this isnt the place you should visit. But if you are looking for good vegetarian food then I give a thumbs up and must say that this place will satisfy you with its food.

Highly disappointed with the food ... Going with the name, we expected better food and better ambience although the staff was quite polite and courteous.The location of the restaurant is quite and easily recognisable from GS road.

One of the most snootiest and rude staff behaviour. You will never see a smile at there faces. I have been going there every sunday morning at 8.30 am from last 4-5 years to pick up snacks for breakfast. Its kind of a routine. But not once ever saw any welcoming staff this entire period. They work at there own pace although mostly the store is empty at this hour. Today for the first time i reuested them that bhaiya plz can you please make it quick as my son was alone in the car. To that he irritatingly snapped de raha hai na wait kariye na and i was the only customer there. After so many years also if you are not accomodating to your customers than there is a serious attitude and training issue. This was my last visit in this place. But one advice to the team Makhan bhog. The testiest ingredient in food is a SMILE.

The staff is very helpful. Food is soooo good.. If youre a vegetarian, youd love it. They also serve food without using onion and garlic.

I stay nearby and used to visit every few days whenever I am in Guwahati. The folks inside are a bit snooty, based on my interaction with them across years. Unless you make big ticket purchases, they have a dismissive attitude towards you (I usually go in informal shorts / flip flops).Food wise, I prefer Anand Jalpan,. Makhon Bhogs sweets are fine but kachori n Samosa not that much.

One may find a variety of savouries. And a restaurant on the floor above to sit and eat. A very good place to chill and eat your meals/snacks. Spacious and airy. Service should improve though.

For vegetarians or non vegetarian doesnt matter. Its one of best restaurant in Guwahati and one of the best Quality. It may seem costly but one or two dishes will get you full instead of usual starter plus meals. So go ahead and enjoy.

The place serves typical vegetarian food. Dosas were quite good. They also serve a wide variety of sweets and even veg pasta and so on. Ambience good for families and friendly gathering.

Its a vegetarian restaurant but they use onions and garlic in many dishes. Dosa and sweet variants are good. Juice is available at 1st floor. GST is levied on restaurant orders. Service tax is not inclusive. Waiters are not very friendly. Parking is free. The restroom is not properly maintained. It was stinking.

Love the Food Served by them, over the years they have maintained the quality of their food which most restaurants cannot do in the long run. We love the pasta made by them, i hope over time we find the same taste in their pastas.

The best picks are butter masala dosa , raj kachori chat and their authentic Laddu..Rates are moderate and the ambience is great..They have a restaurant on the 1st floor and a huge area for sweet items and fast food counter on the ground floor...They have parking area available for the customers.Both cash and cards are accepted..This place is very popular amongst people of all age group..#veganmeal..

I quite like the food at Makhan Bhog restaurant, especially since my parents dont eat onion and garlic and this place a bunch of options for that. There is ample seating upstairs and the service is fast. Their pasta was surprisingly tasty. We had ordered dosas, pasta, idli, vada, nan and paneer.It has a simple fast food chain kind of vibe, so not very happening from that point of view. But good food and sweets.

Really Disappointing previously its was so good was one of the best veg restaurants in ghy but now i dnt even feel like visiting it again.... Quality has taken a big hit.. i still remember Chana jilapi was so good the tase nothing could compare to it taste & no other like it in ghy but today i try size is significantly small & taste was not good at all even some street vendors tasted better yes if the owner is reading well that was half damp felt like 2days old stuff was served U need to do a quality check ...& Ya Chola bhatura was not available stock out... Non of the north Indian dishes are available... What else can i say...

Variety of dishes,cooked very well,good ambience,but can make some changes to idli dish as they are serving only 2 pcs idli with sambhar n chutney for Rs 100.Can offer atleast 3-4 pcs to make it more value for money

They are supposed to be a reputable brand name in sweets in Guwahati. Well till today...they packed me stale sweets and refused to apologise when I called reported the issue. Their claim was it was freshly prepared whereas my guests and including me almost died of food poisoning. I was not even asking for a refund. These people should be boycotted. Their arrogance should be dealt with firm response by customers. I have already raised the issue with FSSAI. Point is if you are an Assamese Request you to not buy from Makhan Bhog.

Quality sweets available here but bakery is not worth the price... Good place for vegetarians too 😍 happy with ambiance...
