We ate at DK for the first time last night for my husbands birthday. Ed was our server. The food and service were excellent! I cant wait to go back to try all of the delicious sounding items on the menu!

The Hanger steak and Brussel sprouts were fabulous! Our bartender was awesome too! (We sat at the bar) I highly recommended Downtown Kitchen. They never disappoint.

Not impressed. Most folks eat there for the conversation and atmosphere. The person I ate with was very happy. The food was ok. I thought the square plates looked dated. I got a small steak on a giant rectangular plate sitting on some gravy. The steak didnt seem to be seasoned and it sat too long and was barely warm. The garlic mashed potatoes looked old and werent too warm either. The steak was tender and cooked correctly though. It is just not the kind of place I visit for dinner. The server did a decent job. I declined any food replacement or warming of steak because it took a while for the server to check on us. I had already eaten the potatoes and half of the steak by the time the server returned. But, you should check the place out you might have a different experience.

Enjoyed a great dinner at Downtown Kitchen tonight that was reasonably priced and the service was excellent. I had a perfectly cooked med well 8oz sirloin and my wife had salmon. The atmosphere upstairs was enjoyable and the staff was personable and friendly. Special call out to our excellent server Allison.

Really delicious meals! Great service! Terrific dining experience!We had the pork tenderloin, short ribs, scallops, and hanger steak, along with creme brulee, and we all marveled at the flavor of our meals and the dessert. The presentation was exceptional.Prints of musicians on the walls set the ambiance. Theres an open kitchen and a bar with a TV.The only drawback: it can be a little loud.

Dinner was amazing. I had the stuffed chicken and risotto with a chocolate martini to drink.

We were really looking forward to this dinner! We reserved an outside table a few days prior, but when we arrived at 6:45pm we saw the patio was closed due to rain, but assumed we were relocated inside the restaurant. We let the hostess know we had reservations but she said that she was about to call us because they no longer had a table available for us anywhere in the restaurant. Just disappointing. We had family visiting from New York, babysitters for our kids and were looking forward to a nice dinner. It just seems like this could have been handled a little differently. Long story short, if you book a table and it rains, expect your reservations to be cancelled.

My 1st time there was on Valentines day with my Lady. Great atmosphere, food and drinks. Managing Partner was definitely Managing the restaurant! The server was very knowledgeable about the days specials. And attentive yet not intrusive on our Meal!!! I noticed many folks eating at the bar. Laughing and conversing with Bar Tender. My Date said the Bar Tender has been tending bar there for many years. Overall i was more than pleased with this establishment! Laid back, Home town feel with Great food!

Absolutely delicious! The lump crab rangoon was awesome! Aged ribeye and the surf and turf were phenomenal! Greens and all the sides are incredible! Thin mint cheesecake was a grand slam! The Jazz town cocktail unreal! Shane our server and everyone else were so nice and provided great service! I believe this is the best restaurant in Canton. If the second floor is available go for it! Its more quite and more laid back then the first floor which can get loud. This is a must try fantastic culinary experience with service that equals the quality of the food!

Wow! This place used to be great. Service was excellent. Food was terrible. Hanger steak needed a hacksaw. Shrimp Carbonara looked & tasted like microwaved leftovers. Never again.

Excellent food everything we had was cooked to perfection. The filets exactly as ordered, the salmon flaky and moist, the lamb scrumptious and all of the sides with extra care in presentation. Well worth the visit. We will be back.

We stopped in here since the first Friday concert had been cancelled to grab a couple of drinks as we had dinner reservations at another local establishment. The drinks were very good and the bartender had a great attitude and took care of everyone sitting at the bar!

I came here after my wedding with a party of 9 people. Our waiter Waylon was super accommodating. Everyone enjoyed their food. The bacon creamed kale and delicata was unlike anything I’ve ever tasted before. You need to try it!!

We made reservations for my highly anticipated graduation celebration about a month prior and confirmed these reservations multiple times to no avail. We arrived and not only sat outside for half an hour, but our names were not even on the list to be seated. We brought this up multiple times to management and staff only to be told that they were “busy” and ended up leaving. Very poor compensation and accountability for their mistake.

The proprietor answered my call from the airport and said hed hook me up like a dump truck even if arriving at closing time. Im so glad he invited me and would put this establishment in the top tier of any restaurants in the north metro, if not all of Atlanta. Id suggest to all newbies what the only other patron upon my arrival, a regular, did to me. The hangar steak is marinaded and so uniquely flavored and perfectly done medium-rare. Try on its own first, and then be amazed by the red wine Demi glaze. The featured side, broccoli in garlic oil, was a great pairing to this delightful steak dinner. Food was excellent, I had a Pittsburgh style siroil and my wife had the duck breast special. Atmosphere has a good vibe and the staff was very helpful. Outside seating is also offered and looked comfortable buf we opted for indoor seating.

We went to Downtown Kitchen for the first time last night. Very neat place. Steven was our server and he was really knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the calamari as an appetizer and it was delicious. Drinks (by JR) were wonderfully made and perfectly served. We had a small issue with one of our main dishes but it was immediately addressed and resolved.We loved the atmosphere and will definitely be back!

Great steak! The best Caesar salad in town.

Wonderful meal and excellent service. Timing of each course was balanced for dining, not just eating. Worth the drive and we will be back. Try the short rib so tender. The scallops and steak were amazing.

Had a great time there Friday night with my bride. She ordered stuffed chicken, and I had the lamb dinner feature that our server Steven did a great job of hand selling. Drinks and appetizer were on point too. Energy is vibrant in there and not stuffy by any stretch of the imagination. So comforting to come here and experience what I always felt was one of the understated treasures of the Cherokee County area hasnt slipped at bit. It almost goes without saying, but we will be back!

My wife and I love this place. We spend anywhere from 20 to 40 dollars per person, but the food is fantastic.

I go here annually for my wifes Christmas party in their upstairs area. The service is always excellent and the food is delicious, no matter what I pick from the limited menu. I highly recommend the skirt steak, however. The bourbon and beer selection is above average. The appetizers are also great..

This place is amazing. Pick anything off the menu and you can’t go wrong. Everything they serve is top notch, a true 3 Michelin star restaurant hidden in Canton. If you haven’t been here don’t wait any longer and come see what you’ve been missing.

The service was lacking and although the food took a while, I would probably go back because the food was tasty. I would order cocktails again because their cocktails are very very small. I got the burrata and the special swordfish steak with Brussels. Thre food was all good.

Hidden gem with great food and a nice ambiance

Downtown Kitchen never dissapoints. Every time I come here I am blown away by the quality of the food and the friendly wait staff. Its exceptional. This place is clearly the number one restaurant in Canton, and would probably make anyones top 10 list in the ATL metro area.We started with the Baked Burrata. The combination of flavors was so good. Cheesy dreaminess. Then I had the Hanger steak. This is my go to meal at this restaurant. Im not sure what the marinade is, but it tastes to me like a creamy, balsamicy masterpiece. I wish I could recreate this at home. Ive tried, but I never quite get it right. My GF had the salmon. Shes not typically a person who eats much fish, but she thoroughly enjoyed it. I got a taste or two of it, and I was blown away. Perfectly cooked, with an incredible pistachio butter. Ive never had pistachio butter before, but now Im left craving more!Our waiter was friendly, fun and knowledgeable. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience, I cant wait to go back again!

If I could give this a negative star I would! My boyfriend and I just ordered togo food and it was absolutely awful. I have been going to this restaurant for quite a few years and it was always my favorite and now sadly I will not ever return. I ordered hanger steak, mased potatoes, and salad. The only thing palatable was the salad.

Caitlin, our server, was fantastic. Always on top of our orders and even brought out things we didnt think of. We sat outside by the fire and it was a lovely evening, thank you!

The crispy house salad with blue cheese vinaigrette was omg . Salmon needed three more minutes , but delish .

This is my favorite restaurant in Downtown Canton and one of our “go to’s” when we are trying to decide on where to go for dinner. Steaks are always cooked to perfection, attentive friendly service, & a great atmosphere.

First time visiting. The food and the drinks where great! Sat up stairs and it was nice at the bar.

I absolutely love their Salmon. And the Beef Short Ribs were phenomenal as well. They have my favorite Ceasar salad in town. Yum yum!!

We like a lot to go out. Last night we found this delicious restaurant which we didn’t know before. We passed a beautiful experience there with very good dishes and a nice stuff and a talented cook. We added this fine restaurant in our phone list and we shall no doubt go again soon. We highly recommend.

We live in Canton and have dined here for dinner twice including our anniversary. It is a fun, noisy atmosphere but we had to enter the restaurant through the bar area which was packed shoulder to shoulder and no one seemed interested in letting us pass through which really surprised us. Once seated we were waited on promptly and we both ordered the recommended special of the night, the NY strip steak and that is why I am only rating this place 3 stars. My beef with the Downtown Kitchen is ......well, with their beef actually.Both of our steaks were prepared as requested but I honestly cant remember having a tougher steak. Neither one of us finished our steak. Given the hype of the reviews and their prices, we were very disappointed. We should have made a complaint but we didnt. It was noisy and we just wanted to leave. If you want to have a quiet dinner on a special occasion I dont feel like this is the place.

It was extensively mediocre food, but everything else was on point.

My husband & a neighbor went for dinner. They wanted to sit at the bar to eat & drink. However, each time 2 spots would open the bartender would put up “Reserved” signs at the bar spots. These “reserved” spots stayed empty the rest of the time they were there. My husband finally asked to speak with the manager to find out what was going on. He was informed by the manager the the bartender had been there for 10 years & a very “popular” bartender & basically saved these spots for his favorite customers. HUH?? Apparently the manager/owner & this “special” bartender don’t realize they are only in Canton, GA. What kind of customer service is this? I’ve been to this restaurant to eat with my husband before & witnessed this before but didn’t ask. If the food & service was superb I could almost see them getting away with this, but this place is average at best. Also, they ordered the Bone Marrow. While my husband & neighbor thought it was terrible, the dog loved it! Spare yourself from this place & head to Roswell to Little Alleys!

This is a hidden gem in Canton GA. My husband and I came here 3 years ago before he went to walk the application trail. We always said we would come back and tonight we did. We traveled a full day leaving Kentucky to drive home to Florida just for dinner. The food did not disappoint. If your ever in Canton GA I highly recommend coming here!The service was exceptional as well :)

The Downtown Kitchen did an AMAZING job hosting our rehearsal dinner last weekend! Wedding planning can be stressful...Downtown Kitchen made the Rehearsal Dinner 100% stress-free! THANK YOU COREY!!!! Corey helped with menu planning/recommendations (recommendations were spot on...food was delicious), setting the tables to fit our group perfectly, bar planning, room decor...everything, and price was very reasonable, food was excellent, atmosphere was perfect, wait staff and bar staff were fun, friendly, and accommodating. I received so many compliments on how nice the dinner was and what a great time everyone had. We were a large, loud, fun family (and possibly the reason for the review below regarding the packed bar as everyone stayed after dinner in the bar...so my apologies to the anniversary couple below if we were too loud and too many...had a lot of out of out of towners and no one wanted to go back to hotel...I dont think those conditions are a normal thing at Downtown Kitchen so please dont hold that against them.) At any rate, I cant rave enough about the entire experience...the planning, the event, the food,, the venue, the staff, the price....everything was perfect! Thank you so much! 5 Stars!

Each and every thing we ordered was superb. 3 adults, 2 kids, and everyone was 100% happy. There was even a spill, and our appetizer & cosmo were promptly replaced free of charge!

Blackened fries were ok. They took such a long time and just decided to wait until we finish each meal until starting to cook. They undercooked my steak while I was waiting for an hour . I was very frustrated . I was irritated because it took an hour and I did not want to give it back I WAITED AN HOUR AND MY STEAK WAS UNDERCOOKED . Never come here they take 2 hours

Our first experience & last. Service was poor at best, all 4 entrees/sides were barely warm, I personally had to take my wifes entree off the servers tray and place it in front of her. Not one person asked us if we enjoyed our food. Will never return.

DT is an excellent place to enjoy good food and drinks in a casual and energetic atmosphere. Their menu is nicely varied, and the food preparation is top-notch. Beef medallions with shrimp and a tasty sauce was satisfying and sized right. And our service was really good, attentive and really friendly!

Love this place! I’ve never had a bad meal. The specials are always delicious and the staff is always friendly. Great for a date night or a group of people. Be sure to make a reservation.

Their Hanger Steak is the best steak weve ever had. The staff is always kind and attentive to everything we need. We love the guys who run the upstairs part, too! This place is wonderful. The food is fabulous. The serving staff is great. The owner and manager are hands on and make every person that comes in feel like they are the most important customer in the restaurant at that time. The cooks do a great job at preparing the food. The bartender is excellent. There are not enough words to describe 5 stars. They speak for themselves. Dk is my go to place. Give it a try, you wont be disappointed.

Ordered scallops. They were delicious but 3 scallops for $24 is a bit ridiculous, even if they were sea scallops. Lima beans beneath scallops were lukewarm. I didnt care for the presentation of the bread already sliced. Cant we do roles or small loafs? Caesar salad was cold & crisp! My husbands steak, a new York strip was excellent!I did like the atmosphere, wine selections excellent, wait staff wonderful. Youll make me happy if you up the scallops to at least 4.Ill maybe try it again.

Downtown Kitchen used to be the best place to eat in Canton. Now, there are several other places I would choose over this. There are a few reasons why. The portion sizes have gotten smaller and smaller over the years. However, the price has stayed the same. I think its extremely overpriced for what you are getting. The last dish I had here I could not even finish because it was so heavy on cream and not seasoned very well. And the side I had was actually awful and in desperate need of some acidity! I will say I do love the bread and tomato sauce appetizer. Thats about the only reason I would go here again.

It was our first time in downtown Canton and we were pleased to find this place. The service is very friendly and knowledgeable including bartender, server and the manager. We both really enjoyed our meals, my husband had a filet and I had the Georgia peach salad, and the wine as well. We would visit again.

Great food. Wine selection could be better and it would be nice if they could manage the specials better so as to not run out at 7:30 pm on a Saturday. 4 different items ordered by my table, they had to come back 15 minutes later and say they were out of and pick something else. And at 7:30 not late and not on a busy night. But quality of food was good.

Great place to eat. Staff were awesome and the food good, only complaint would be price. This place is definitely out of my price range.

We only stopped in for drinks just a little before close but the restaurant was very nice. We loved IDing all the various musicians in the wall art. The bartender was very friendly and personable with us even after what sounded like a bit of a soul crushing dinner rush which I think speaks highly of him and likely the food they serve as well. Definitely worth stopping in.

Great food! Awesome environment

I just attended a private event in their upstairs area- it was the best rehearsal dinner party I have ever been to! The food was incredible and the service was arguably better. Parking was tough- but, absolutely worth it. Drivers can easily drop passengers off at the door and find street parking close by.

I had our rehearsal dinner here. So they can deliver a great service for your event, but also for your dinner. We have been back several times always enjoy it. Salmon entree is great, sweet potato chips app is delicious, and always look forward to hearing what homemade desserts they have at that time. Best place for a great dinner in Canton.
