Massive selection of gin and fantastic waitresses who gave us the best recommendations when we couldnt choose.

Its just an offshoot of the Grosvenor Hilton complex so expect hotel prices. We arrived before the rush on the weekend so service was fine. The wine list is a bit uninspired but the atmosphere was quiet and relaxed which I appreciated after a long day. Staff were attentive without ever being obtrusive.

Is one of those rare hotel bars that feels like an actual pub. Great vibes.

Great staff good atmosphere

A lovely valentines night in Begin. The gin flight was great and out waitress was so friendly and couldnt do enough for us! Plus who doesnt love a chocolate strawberry 🍓 The drinks choice is really vast and the decor is amazing! 🍸

Absolutely insane amount of Gin available. Normal prices. Very nice staff.

Very good bar

The staff here are always so polite and welcoming. Attention to detail and service is outstanding. The place is small enough to be intimate but large enough to accommodate several groups without feeling youre encroached upon. Great atmosphere, spotless facilities and a fab choice for a catch up

First time trying BeGin last week and loved it, lovely decor and atmosphere, and so much choice of drinks! We tried the Gin flights and it was fab, the lovely barman explained the stories of the different gins, while recommending the best mixers!

Absolutely excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our gin cocktails. Our bartender was so informative and helpful. Even the fire alarm going off didnt spoil our day. The chocolate orange cocktail was absolutely delicious. Def my favourite x

Cavernous and sometimes a little lacking in atmosphere but staff are always super friendly and overall a nice place for drinks.

Definitely geared up more towards the ladies who lunch vibe but the staff were very clued up about the gins on offer. Slightly pricey at over £8 per drink but then it is the West End! Good for a wee treat and definitely worth a shout if you are into your gin.

Danny looked after me, mum and my aunts as we had some beautiful cocktails before the rocky horror show. We used a groupon voucher for 8 cocktails for something like £22 which was unreal value. I got a ‘nae g & t’ being pregnant and it was every bit as nice.Thank you for giving us such a great experience- well recommended.

Large selection of gins but took a while to get served

The best meal I have had out in a very long time (and I eat out often) wonderful service, fun environment, perfect food! What more could you ask for? This bar is amazing.

Good selection of gins and the bar staff were knowledgeable enough to make recommendations! The cocktails were tasty. We didnt end up eating here though as the menu was too limited and uninspiring.. Some nicer nibbles (maybe cheese boards?) And sides would have made us stay longer and order more..

Lovely place for drinks! We went one really snowy Sunday as we had booked for lunch at Bovine next door. There was a mistake and we ended up getting free drinks at Begin. My mojito was amazing and my husbands beer was tasty, one hed never had before. The bar woman was really chatty and friendly too! Would recommend.

Unfortunately it was very very very disappointing. The poorest wine list I have seen in Glasgow, no personal touch from staff or management and overall not a nice experience. Tasteless glass of fizz and blunt wine and rude bar staff/ managers. For a bar acting as reception/ first impression of a Hilton? 1/10 stars. I wouldnt bother at all since there were 4 people all together in the premises and we waited for over 15 minutes to get served

Had a really nice time here ,went with my Wife and Sister who were looking for a range of cocktails, we had advice from Lauren who was very helpful and friendly and also Dan,we would highly recommend ,the only reason for dropping a star is it did look a bit tired in some parts and could do with a facelift.

Nipped in for a cheeky pint with the family and was very pleased with the service. Kids enjoyed it as well. Staff was very friendly. Would recommend to others

Fantastic staff and the ambience is perfect. The Gin is great and the waiter really knew his stuff. Had the sterling my self and it was perfect. Will definitely return.

We had a pleasant, short, visit to the BeGin bar whilst we were waiting on a friend. It was early evening, so not too busy. Morover, we were greeted warmly by a young, female, member of staff who was very welcoming and friendly as well as knowledgeable about the menu and drinks available. Nice atmosphere and decor. Id defineately visit this bar again.

Nice cocktail menu and a great atmosphere. Bar staff are brilliant when they provide table service but there aren’t enough of them behind the bar when you’re looking for quick service.

Looks nice on the outside so went in for a drink on a weeknight a while back. Inside its dark and a bit run down, tables were sticky and music was blaring. Fair enough having loud music at the weekend but this was a Tuesday. Didnt stay for a drink, they might have been decent but wasnt going to wait around to find out.

Over priced for what it is. Unfriendly and unhelpful staff. I’ve had better gin at weatherspoons for a fraction of he price.

Super quiet on a rainy Wednesday afternoon, the staff really took the time to find your perfect gin. Good selection of gin, well made and delivered by a very pleasant ginologist.Dont know if the experience is scaleable in peak hours, I hope so.

Good selection of gins and other drinks, bit pricey

Was in yesterday for drinks after my girlfriends graduation, the drinks we had were really nice and the bar had a nice atmosphere, however the 5 stars in the review come from the barman Stevie who was without a doubt only concerned with providing the best possible service and making sure customers were happy, wasnt hesitant to crack a joke or bend over backwards to make sure our needs were met 10/10 for him. The staff in a bar 90% of the time are the deciding factor.

Part of the Grosvenor Hilton Hotel, this is a warm and inviting establishment that, as the name suggests, specialises in serving gin (although other alcoholic beverages are also available). There are a wide range of gins on offer and they are best taken as a double measure, with garnish, and a bottle of Fevertree tonic. Depending on the gin, itll set you back about 12 and a half quid (for the double). Very nice they are too. I only stayed for one ...at that price Im sticking to beer!

Jack the bartender/supervisor is extremely knowledgeable in gin and gincraft, makes great cocktails, and offers lots of free glasgow answers and advice. Decent beer, cider, and wine options too. Great place!

Too pricey, no atmosphere, staff busying themselves eg cleaning while youre wsiting to be setved. Sitting outside people-watching was cool, and they had blankets there too. Nice idea, but better if they were washed. Really needs to be every day. Im not overly fussy but they were visibly filthy!

Had a fantastic experience here was servered by a blonde girl who was well disposed and extremely accomadating.My friend and I had a few gins each which we thoroughly enjoyed along with a genorous portion of Nachos which were also really good.Will definitely be back, one of my new favourite bars in Glasgow!

This gin haven is very unassuming from the outside and we really stopped in somewhat by accident. Happy surprise! They have one of the nicest selections of Gins Ive found and a true cocktail artisans array of botanicals and fruits that can send you on a very nice customizable tasting experience. The Botanic Gardens is an herbal gin mojito and one of my favorites, but I also encouraged the barmans suggestion and ended up with a Roku Gin complimented by a sliver of apple and a couple of cardamon seeds. Nice. Environment is cozy with a wide variety of seating options. Will return

Was a great place to kill some hours on previous business trips but the playlist was absolutely terrible (Aerosmith, Shanice, Take That) so Ill be spending my money elsewhere. Coldplay in the Grosvenor lobby was eclectic by comparison...

Cant make a cocktail for their life and even got a basic drink wrong. Wrong gin, wrong mixer and the wrong garnish. The ice was correct I suppose.

Great selection of gins but slow service lets it down

Ordered drinks waited 30 mins checked at the bar - they had forgotten , waited another 20 mins still no drinks ... decided 50 mins for 4 gins was more than excessive so left and went elsewhere.

Pleasant place to sit down and have a drink. Staff could not have been more helpful.

I liked the cocktails and the vast choice. Not a big fan of the atmosphere though (personal taste) and the drinks are quite expensive in general.

Its expensive. Gin bars are ever the rage, but at approx £10 a drink (for 1) its a treat!! Been a few times, but the last time it was awful. Not going to venture back.
