Discovered this place whilst out for a stroll during the day, we returned in the evening for a meal and were not disappointed (Fri 27th December).Loved the variety on the menu. Portion size was perfect for us, neither too large or too small. Staff was friendly and attentive, prices were reasonable for Geneva. If we return to Geneva we will be sure to visit Cafe Gandhi again.Final comment, the Grimbergen beer was lovely.
Café Gandhi is a cute restaurant/cafe/bar in Paquis. The place has an amazing setup. Intricacies everywhere. The lightning is nice and warm.The coffee is good and there’s a wide selection of Indian food. The naan bread is incredible. Together with several dips you’ll leave the place filled.Try the butter chicken!
Had a very good dinner: typical Indian tasty food with lots of yummy spices! Service was good and friendly. They were very accommodating with my dietary needs. Vegan/vegetarian options available. Thali is also on the menu!This restaurant has been there for quite a few years but it was redecorated a little while ago - nice colors, relaxed atmosphere.I definitely recommend it!Went a second time and loved it again: staff members are really kind, food was tasty and very varied - someone in my group tried the tali dish and it was super yummy!We sat outside and the breezy evening made everything even nicer.
Service was rather slow, but definitely friendly. That maybe due to just reopening the terrasse for in-person dining after Covid measures. Most of the food was delicious and while the korma wasnt the best, I particularly loooved the butter chicken. The cheese naan was super cheesy and tasty. Will definitely return and have already recommended it to friends.
Terribly late and extremely rude. Waiting over 1.5 hrs. The person at the restaurant was EXTREMELY rude. What kind of terrible service is this — first the food is extremely late and and very cold but then the restaurant doesn’t even have the courtesy to listen to the complaint or offer a remedy. Will spread the word to never order from here again. Never seen such terrible service. It is our favorite Indian restaurants in town, we havent been for a while, and today were pleasantly surprised - they changed interior, menu and concept - its now stylish Indian thali - we loved it! You can choose your own selection on the thali, but also you can do à la carte (I am vegan and really enjoyed the vegan options offered). Highly recommended - dinner or lunch, friends catch up or family dinner - its absolutely great.
Very nice food and service. Very fair prices. Worth trying out and will definitely go back. Small improvement needed on drinks (mojito,...) but otherwise super nice and delicious!
Is one of this places hidden that you should visit. The food was superb, the service was normal, I will have one month to see how does it evolve. The portions were right to the price. For those who want tasty flavors, the place is recommended.

Very good. Stumbled on this as near the hotel. The staff member was confident I’d like anything i ordered; she was right. Great tasting food.
We had our delivery order ordered through takeaway / just eat. Instead of 55 minutes the delivery took over 1.5 hours. The biryani was extremely dry, it was basically colored rice with dry lamb. The chicken tikka masala was inedible, the chicken was burned and the sauce was smokey. The lamb corma was good. The naans were dry, tasteless and chewy.
Cafe Gandhi a nice name!!!The taste of the food is truly Indian. Hospitality is awesome!!A must visit place for all Indian tourists and people of Indian Origin living in Switzerland.

Ambience wise - very nice restaurant..Food wise it wasnt great. Although Geneva anyway lacks in good Indian restaurants in general, we had heard a lot about this joint and were a bit disappointed. U should try the pakodas there ..I think they were the best of all other items. Hospitality also can be improved.

The food taste is no good. Its better to have local food than trying Indian food here. The service is no good at all. I asked for water for 4 times, there is no response, the guy is keep walking around and not bringing it. Even I went to the reception to get on my own, still no response. Finally managed to get it after 20 mins, with a response from the man as sorry I forgot. I dont recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Waiter was really impolite and he brought me the wrong order. He told me I was wrong and only changed my order when I told him I was vegetarian. He also did not notify us that the dessert in the set menu is actually two small slices of mango instead of cake...The restaurant decor is pleasant and the food was satisfactory but not memorable.
I wish I could give a better grade. They just redid the whole decoration and I have to say its very nice and cosy. However, the food is really not great. In addition, nothing was spicy (at all), which left me quite disappointed. I would give 4 stars for the atmosphere, but 2 for the food.

Absolutely ridiculous quality and service, considering the hefty price for the tiny quantities.The food delivered had 2 burnt naans, and 2 curries out of 3 which tasted like it had become spoilt.Whats worst was that while calling, the person didnt have the courtesy to listen to our complaints. He cut the call twice, pretending to not be able to hear.This happened last time as well, and the person apologized saying it wont happen again. Well, we wont let it happen a 3rd time, no thank you 🙏

I visited the café Gandhi last week for Dinner with my friends. Delicious Food - Great hospitality - friendly staff - met the owner of the restaurant and his family - warm and welcoming - hosted us very well - ensured we are happy with our meal.This restaurant is among the very few restaurants in Europe that serve the traditional Indian Thali. I would recommend everyone to visit and experience the Indian Thali and hospitality. We enjoyed our time at the café Gandhi.

Been here twice in two nights now. They have a seperate thali menu for most of the cities/States like Mumbai, Gujarati etc.. their Ala carte menu is also diverse. Their food quality is good and if youre looking to spend some quality time to celebrate any occassion, then you can definitely consider this in your list. Their servers are welcoming but due to peak hour rush, they tend to be busy. Evenings starting from Friday are busy so try to reach around 7 for dinner. Prices are okayish as per Swiss Indian meal standards. Being a vegetarian, I tried the palak paneer, dal makhani along with nan breads, followed by rice. Overall I really liked it.

The Man who served us Saturday night the 15th April 2018, I could swear acted as if he couldnt give a damn about being the least bit welcoming. Save your Money and go to a Place where they actually want your business! I am never going there again or recommending this place. Better go to KFC or Burger King.

Was a rainy day and we need somthing to eat and was above the expectations.Found this place which looks colorful and nice.Friendly staff welcomed us and they were so kind.They have two styls of food service. Thali (plate includes 6 wee plates) or normal menu.My husnband had the vegetrian thali and i had a lamb bryain.I started with veg samosa which was tasty.The lamb bryani was tasty and the portion was more than enough.The Veg thali was good.I usually dont like to eat outside in geneva as the food is not so grate this place o Geneva standard is good.i will come back again and i recommend this place if u like Indian food.

Nice atmosphere. It looks renovated or brand new. The service is slow. The tandoori chicken was good. The rest was ok. The chana masala was chick peas with tomato sauce, not chana at all, no Indian spices. The gulab was good.

What a great experience. The service is impeccable and the food is delicious. Gandhi coffee has become one of my favorite places in Geneva.
Nice terrace, in an active and friendly area, this restaurant is very pleasant. The dishes are generous and really delicious. As for the prices, they are very reasonable. I highly recommend to anyone wanting to travel to India for an evening!
An essential address in Geneva. Having tested several Indian restaurants, Gandhi Café is for me the benchmark of this typical and refined cuisine. Never forget to complement your order with Naans cheeses, just excellent!
