Nice second hand store. From clothing to small furniture to house hold items to nic nacks to to toys to just about anything you can put in your home. Th store is well lit and clean. It is well organized. There is lots of room in the store to move around which is good due the COVID and social distancing rules. Prices are good s everything is second hand. The staff is friendly and courteous. Washroom facilities are available. The store exists because of people’s donations of used household items.
I could spend hours looking for stuff I didnt know I needed, whist looking for specific things, I was quite impressed with the recent changes to the layout of the store, but was once again very disappointed with a few things. A. Whoever keeps putting items (in the bags on the walls) like fragile glass/shells/crystal knickknacks, with stuff like heavy rocks, marbles, and paperweights etc. Then slaps a $8 sticker on it. B. Constantly seeing items with the price tag of the store it was originally sold at, for a fair price, then seeing the VV price tìag with a price way higher than original retail price when it was new! C. I dont wanna buy 8 calculators just for the one notepad/calculator/pen combo, spread those things out a bit more amongst the other similar product bags (just an example). And lastly if the owner, or corporate, or whoever knows who has an influence on the prices of stuff, tell em to look at what your customers are saying in these reviews -lower your prices!Ps. The Staff are always fantastic! And almost always find hidden treasures! Still love this place lol
Tons of clothes that are well organized and sorted by size. Lots of shoes and boots, purses. Good selection of china, glasses, mugs etc. Prices are much higher than they used to be. Always fun to look for some elusive item you didnt know you needed. Aisles are roomier and the whole store is brighter than Goodwill.
I never like buying used stuff.. Unless they are books. But recently Ive been pleasantly surprised here
Lanes are wide, staff is friendly and nobody freaks out over covid. These stores have become our go-to for fashionable finds. 2 teenagers constantly requiring larger outfits are not very budget-friendly, if you know what I mean. Other thing is work clothes which I constantly destroy on jobsites and cant be bothered to pay full price for at Marks or the like... LOVE IT!!!
The staff here are always friendly and welcoming and often get as excited for your finds as you do. Treasure trove of pre-loves items looking for new homes. 10/10
I love Value Village, right know Im obsessed with looking for the oxo air tight containers. I found 2 of the big ones here a while back, and now I would love to find more. I looked online to see about just buying the ones I would like, but they are expensive that way. So, if any of you awesome shoppers come across these items, I would love to hear from you 😊😀... thank you 😊☺
This store is neat and well organized, but prices are totally hit and miss. Some items are reasonably priced, but many are very expensive by thrift store standards. At those prices you might as well shop for new.
They have a lively selection of plus sized clothing, a great book selection, and they always have something special for items I didnt know, or had forgotten I had wanted! Staff here is always friendly!
Love this value village the best. It always has a great selection of shoes and clothes. I cant find the section for toddler clothes like ever though at any value village. Wish they marked it better than just girls or boys.
Staff were grouchy but it was the end of the night and I was still shopping when the store was closing. Pretty good assortment of quality merchandise tho!
Always have a good time at value village. Great staff and great selection of gently used items
Kathleen was very rude to me and when I asked her for the washroom to be opened she just paged a staff member instead of just doing it herself she also answered me very rudely when I went to talk to her.. i was not too happy about it and the washroom was for my wife and daughter so i had to go back there so they would know who to open it for
Value Village was once a great place to find bargain but not now. I was at IKEA the day before and bought bath mats. I was dismayed to find the exact same mats at Value Village for more than the new ones. The throw pillows were way overpriced as you can buy new cheaper also. These items are used and donated so there is no reason for any of these stores to price things so high. I also notice the only time they get busy is the 50%off days. Salvation army and goodwill are doing better at pricing items at a reasonable cost. Some items are reasonable but they need to reduce pricing on many items. Also you can buy the knitting needles for $1.25 at the dollar tree new and here they are $2.00 and they are the same. They should be more like .50 cents. They do not allow staff to make any kind of decisions and most issues need to go directly to the manager. They need to train and trust there workers to be able to make decisions when the manager is not there.
For a thrift store the prices are outrageous. Who would be willing to spend $25 on a used and worn tshirt. Please reconsider your prices.
I love this value village. They always have amazing finds and it seems that they never have the same things sitting there. Always new items. Some things can be a little overpriced but overall its well worth the visit every time.
This used to be a great store but prices have gone up a lot.
I love this place... you can find what you are looking for although you probably dont need it. 😃
Have a good amount of things you can always find something.
Very open easy to social distance inside.
Be honest I dont think there is anything you couldnt find there aside from food
This place is big, has tons of items in good condition the price could be better but not bad
Great stuff Great staff someone is cleaning out the glass jars cmon man leave some for others share ...haa
I find going to value village no longer a value. For a place that doesnt pay for merchandise they are starting to overpriced everything. I can and have some same found items, elsewhere brand new for cheaper. Clothing is not organized well at all. Wont be going back.
Tons of variety, but over priced for a second hand store selling strictly donated items
Not alot of people to talk to on the floor but when it can to the cashier.....she was very friendly and positive attitude and asked me if I was a senior lol that made my day in only 47.
The store didnt have very much stock and the displays were not very nice, and while I was in the clothing section someone was changing their clothing on the floor in front of me.
I had a great young lady serve me
It’s very nice place to go shopping for used clothes and kitchen supplies
Stil good place to get good deals
Staff are friendly and helpful.Store is laid out well
Its hit-and-miss.Sometimes you can find stuff all over, sometimes nothing.Sometimes the staff is Friendly n helpful, sometimes youre in the way.
The store was clean and the staff were covid-19 compliant. I won’t hesitate to thrift there again.
Surprised I didnt see any moths.
The store manager is a must! The store is nice and the staff is friendly
Who is responsible for these prices? Some are so outrageous its laughable.
Pretty good shop for hunting down any old video game stuff! Like I seen an XBOX 360 Elite in here a few weeks ago. Have bought a PS1 for $7 one time; That was cool. A really rare Comic book, Just always exciting checking-In... you never know what you will find on any given day. The sales personnel are really nice and friendly. Oh yeah, and I cant stress it enough, You never know what will come in this store! Ive seen rare Lego come & go... basically a must for cool stuff hunters list of stores to check out when hunting.
Went looking for some steel toe they had some when I called, 20 mins later they were sold. Hurry they go fast here. I was told.
Great option for Halloween goodies!
Just check in for browsing, I promise you will found something Beautiful 😍
Decent selection of clothing. Well organized!
Why is it so hot in here?Where are all the change rooms?
A lovely place, with decent shoe selections
Its quite big, alot of stuff to look at. I really enjoyed myself. So much so that I lost track of time. No one bothered me..only a hello when I went in and a have a nice day when I went out. I love this place!🤩 Of all the places I go within a month, 99% of the time I deal with racism. Not here tho! Will definitely shop here again. Plus there is hardly anyone here and the prices r reasonable. I gave it a 4 star only bcs every time I buy something I have to buy it, bring it home, try it on and if it doesnt fit which it usually doesnt, then I have to go back return it and the process starts all over again. 🤦♀️Pls open up the changing rooms! Thx
Dont buy from here. Value Village was once a good company, but now they are just money hungry. The higher-ups treat their employees like absolute garbage and dont care for them at all. As a customer I have witnessed supervisors talk down to employees after declining to assist abusive customers. For those that dont know, Value Village pays a little more than half a dollar per pound of goods they receive, but they are still selling items sometimes the same price as their original new retail value. Due to this, more items are getting stolen as people who once went to Value Village because they were in-need of affordable clothing can no longer afford to pay. As an offset employees can not fulfill their sales quotas and this results into a toxic workplace environment and never ending cycle of theft and high-price tags. I suggest shopping at local small businesses that sell used goods instead.
Whenever I donate I get a warm thank you from the older gentleman that greets me. He is so appreciative.
Not enough Minions and Loonie Tunes Shirts, but Ill be back to look again!
Great experience finding some gems here. If you are in need of clothes this is a good spot compared to the other locations. My kids also live this place for the toys.
Over priced when someone else donated that stuff. When its supposed to be a thrift store but youre basically buying things at a new price that were donated. And the money doesnt stay in Canada goes to the states. Staff were not willing to help and rude. Not shopping here garage store!! I would give no stars if I could BS!!
Nice place, cashier was friendly. Lots of stuff to look at it. Like getting books from here. Cant find em cheaper anywhere else.
Was looking for swimming suits and boxing gloves, one stop shop for the day
Always lots of interesting finds. Friendly staff.
They sell nice items.
Not much control over social distancing. Only outside to count how many people went in. More expensive than retail..$8 for a used towel? Really? Wont be going back.
Service is always great but lately just haven’t been finding anything!
Clean good staff huge sales floor
Always cool finds here at good prices
If you like finding dirty needles in the bathroom then this is the place for you! Alberta health should shut this location down before someone gets hurt
Had to listen to a customer complain about her service and apparently being called names. I felt judged by the staff because I had my baby stroller with me. And I feel as though I could have gotten thos3 item at a lower price brand new from the achual outlet.. Who ever started this business that sells USED clothes for top dollar your a genius👎your profut margin is 100 percent
I enjoy shopping at value village, some prices are a bit high though for second hand items.
Good stuff bad floor walkers that dont k ow how to do there job
Great selection of items, good book, clothes, and more. Very affordable and normally in good condition. Amazing staff, always nice and helpful.
All good tho so many people buying like 30 pieces of clothing at the check out🙄
This is one of my favourite locations. I always leave with a bunch of gems. As per usual for Value Village the store is dirty just like the rest. The staff are friendly and I will keep coming back for more thrift finds
You never know what treasures you will find here....there are deals to be had but prices are creeping up...they also got rid of their dressing rooms for trying items
I love going out to thrift stores as you never know what you can walk out with. I went to donate some items and I walked out with a stack of DVDs for my collection plus the 20% off coupon just makes thrifting better. Every time I go to this Value Village the staff are always welcoming :)
So cleaned and organized, some stuffs a little bite pricey .
Seems like alot of fire retardant coveralls priced accordingly
Great location . lots of options
Good selection and friendly staff, found a lot of good clothing in good condition .
There were a lot of people inside. Almost impossible to practice social distancing. The staff seem friendly, especially Kody, he was super sweet. Found some good finds for a good price.
Was busy and they opened tills to reduce the massive line up . Prices could be better for used goods. Its getting to the point where you could order new things online for the same price .
It was quiet, the workers were considerate and kind.
Great selection. Clean store. Organized. Higher prices on low and high quality garments alike..by no means a cheap store. Lines are usually long. Theft prevention obvious and offensive.
Awesome place. Very helpful staff
Nice staff. Wide open store. Large selection of goods for all shapes and sizes.
A mall in a store. Good prices.
Love the housewear and clothing. Nice staff too.
The staff is right on... many a treasure.
They have a good selection of books!
Great staff, clean and organized location.
I will not go there again. Followd me around so much that they could of held my hand the whole time I was there.
Ok layout, easy to navigate. Accessible parking, friendly staff
Really friendly staff and clean premises
Really clean, friendly staff, lots of selection
Had to wait in line for about 10 mins while the cashier waited for the manager to come up (which they never did actually show up). I finally out my stuff down and walked out, they should be embarrassed to call themselves managers
They always have great items stocked!
Just keep in mind that their stock is donated. Charging retail price for items is just plain greed.
Value village was alright although theres not much of a selection of hoodies or 2xl clothing find i have a hard time finding clothing that fits here good selection of house hold stuff here from blankets to kitchen wear lots of little collectibles the staff is friendly and do the best they can given the covid situation but it seems like there prices are getting higher and higher like common its donated stuff you dont need to really be charging 26 bucks for a donated pair of pants and 60 bucks for a donated leather jacket low incom people shop at these places and cant aford these high prices may as well buy new stuff at wal.art for the sam price as this place like I said its donated stuff dropped the prices back down
Great friendly staff. Did a fundrive here. staff went above and beyond to make sure things went smoothly and unloaded quickly. Thank you!
Such quality yet affordable finds. 😍 the store is spacious too so no worries for social distancing
Friendly. One of my favorite VV locations. Also the one I donate to most often
They are a clean store with alot of variety. Please recycle you item here and receive a coupon towards your purchase! Less waste more purpose.
