For an ancient pub, this place is rockin. Staff is quick and responsive, but very kind, knowledgeable and entertaining. Multiple levels, and lots of outdoor seating. Gets VERY crowded on weekend late nights!

1 of the nicest pub I been in and staff lovely, only problem is they should let customers know that upstairs was closed. I be a million percent back again.. And food is delicious.

First time to Dublin, amazing place with top hospitality and a perfect pint every time. My sons and I spent the weekend there enjoying sport and eating some great bar food and enjoying even better drinks. The staff and patrons could not be friendlier. Highly recommend

Great atmosphere, well run with covid pass stuff

The atmosphere in the pub is great! However, the music is turned up too loud, which generally increases the volume. This makes normal conversation at the table no longer possible, which is a shame. The service is friendly and courteous.

Went to the bar this afternoon with my wife and son, who is living in Dublin and sat outside.....had some drinks as we waited for my sons girlfriend, who was working to arrive......good beer, friendly staff.....girlfriend arrived and had another round and a couple more with a fish of chicken wings....put about 130 euros behind the bar. Then, my son went to buy some food for the evening.when he came back, we were refused a round ...as we had been there too long.!!!..three hours maximum!!We were NOT told there was a time limit when arrived ......thrownathrown outi of a Dublin bar at 8pm!!Just before we exited, the waiter told us we could sit inside all evening without a problem......Could someone explain what rules this bar is following?!

Celebrated last night my birthday here and we had such a good time. We were a group of 11 ladies and the service was superb. We had food and drinks, prices are fair and everything was delicious.Super happy. Id highly recommend this place.

I was there on a weekend to get the full Irish breakfast because I could barely find one that would serve it late (post 12). This was by far the most tasty full Irish breakfast Ive had in Ireland.I highly recommend it if youre taking someone to try it. Also, they have loads of TVs so its great for sport watching.5/5

The best wings I have ever tried !!!My girlfriend treated me to going to Dublin for my birthday in January and we stayed in the hotel right next to The Drunken horse , after we checked into the hotel we thought we would have a few drinks at the pub next door which was the the drunken horse , I had seen the chicken wings online and needed to try them. Let me say they were the best with that u had ever tired , not even joking and the small size was in fact perfect for two and the drinks offered were amazing , later we return to the outside areas with a cigar and spent the rest of our great holiday outside the pub , We both wish we could return tomorrow , thank you for the great time , can’t wait to go again !!!

Seemed like a pretty authentic place for some traditional Irish food and a good beer. Service can be a little spotty based on how huge the place is and the many rooms to sit, but the staff was friendly.

I love the way this pub was built. Wander around once inside, including the upstairs. The main area at the bar and entrance is nice but there are also some private nooks and crannies to sit in for quiet conversation. Great selection of beers.

This is a great pub in so many ways. The place is fairly big and has many quirky books and crannies all over the place. The staff is excellent, as was the live music act. Also came to watch some soccer and there was a great atmosphere. This became our favourite pub during our visit to Dublin.

Nice bar for an afternoon game. Decent food, lots of screens, good atmosphere. Nachos are huge. Breakfast looked decent. Staff are friendly if a little eager but it was early.

Smoked Cod and Ling, nice batter on the fish but the chips let the dish down. Otherwise I would have given a 5 star review. The venue is great for after work pints or watching matches with a group of friends or colleagues.

Bar tender here was awesome! And even though they were slam packed, he was extremely attentive and did not make us wait at all. Food was mediocre but all and all it is a great place to visit when in Dublin.

Probably best to avoid The Bleeding Horse if you are following covid 19 guidance for July 2020. Dont bother booking a table or ordering food as you can drink freely. The menu online is also a waste of time, expecting the staff to have a visor or a mask isnt happening either.Though if you do order food it is excellent quality, the reason for my 2 stars.

Met a few friends for a Christmas drink. First time in the place. It was quiet for the time of year. Good place for a pint. Lots of room. Staff were friendly and polite. Service was efficient. Its easily accessible from the city centre. Good place to go for a pint and quiet chat midweek.

Great pub, one of the oldest in Ireland 🇮🇪 mentioned in Ulysses by James Joyce even. Always great music, Thursday nights with a live music also. Many people usually but not over packed. Great location

We came here last night for a couple of drinks with friends and loved it. Been here twice today already, weve just eat here and the good is great. Highly recommended the wings and stew. Fantastic beer selection and all kept really well. Great place and wouldnt hesitate to come here again.

Great Pub in Dublin! The venue is really large and you always find a spot to sit. The beer selection in the pub is amazing and also mixed drinks are being served. They have an heated outdoor area for smoking and sitting outside. Music is always loud mostly good.

Great spot for a drink after work and perfect if you want to avoid overly packed bars in the city centre. Food looked great but I didnt try any this time. Nice little closed off smoking area as well thats seperated from the street. Could do wit some toilets on the ground floor. If there was any I couldnt find them.

What an amazing pub situated in the heart of Dublin, we watched the 6 nations Rugby match here and the atmosphere was magnificent, the look and feel of this pub is nothing Ive ever seen before with hidden alcoves and small tables nestled away, this is truly a remarkable pub which oozes Irish charm and character and will certainly be coming back when the occasion calls.

We stopped in because it was very close to our hotel. We found the place very ordinary. The food was okay but not great - there was a large selection. It was not very crowded but it did seem to take a long time for the food to arrive. The beer came very quickly. Prices were in line with what we had been paying. Nothing bad here just not special either.

Food is good but service isnt great. The waitress was a pro at avoiding eye contact. Had to order food at the counter. Bar man was lovely.

Had just one night in Dublin and went here for a few pints of Guinness and a quick lunch. The Guinness is so good, cold, smooth, creamy. We sat at the bar and ate and drank. The atmosphere is great! The bartender was friendly and the entire place was just so cool. I really cant want to get back over there so we can stop here again. I can see spending the entire night here.

This pub is awesome!! The location and the service are excellent. The food was wonderful and the staff working there are exceptional. Lexi went above and beyond to serve us, always making sure we had what we needed. While in Dublin this was our go to Pub. Great atmosphere, we had so much fun experiencing, and watching the world cup games. Everything I ate was really good!!! Hats off to the chef. It is ridiculous to have to spend 9 euro per person for food. Its absurd that this is a must.You will lose your customers while trying to make a profit. Stop acting like a 3rd class world country restaurant. This is not a restaurant. This is pub.

Our first pub meal in Ireland and it was great, Guinness stew and fish, beer and whiskey. Saturday night was very crowded and lively, lots of locals. We had a great time.
