Amazing fine dining Indian food. Love the modern twist. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They have gluten free and dairy free options. The portion sizes were good. We will be back.

Food is really delicious but adapted for the Irish palate - and I don’t just mean the “spiciness” level but everything else as well.So, I would call Ananda the best “modern and original Indian cuisine” in Dublin, but not the best “Indian cuisine” :) it’s an excellent restaurant either way!We tried the “Jaipur Raj kachori” for starter, the southern coastal thali, and the goat ghee roast.Succulent meat and delicate flavours from start to finish- best of Irish meat and Indian flavours. Food is extremely rich so make sure you are hungry. Service was impeccable and ambiance was great. The cocktails are nice and reasonably priced for an up scale restaurant.The goat ghee roast was my favourite. The appams that it was served with were gorgeous. 🙏🏼

Superb modern Indian food with great service.

Ananda ticks all the boxes for the authentic Indian food experience. Stunning presentation and food rich in flavours your taste buds are certainly in for a treat.will be booking again soon.

Food was amazing -- rich in flavour and the spices were well-balanced. I ordered the Southern Coastal Thali for main course and Gulab Jamun for dessert. I wish I could try them again for the first time! Will come again next time to try other dishes.

By far our favourite Indian ever. We go there when we want a nice treat, not the cheapest Indian in the area but worth every penny.Lamb kebabs to start are our favourite dish, but have never gone wrong with the rest of the menu either!

UPDATE: Felt I had to update my review of Amanda after a recent meal. Our meal was a new menu which the Head Chef is trialing called his Seasonal Menu. It was simply the most beautiful meal we have ever tasted. It was sublime! It was a 7 course journey through taste heaven. A meal every has to try. ORIGINAL: Some of the most beautiful Authentic Indian food you will ever taste! Staff are fantastic and always willing to help guide you through the ample menu. Highly recommend the tasting menu option as it give a wide selection of various tastes. Great gluten free options too. Have never been disappointed any time Ive eaten here. Good bar too. You know its good because the local Indian community eat here.

I was very excited to visit Ananda and I was not disappointed! The food! The food! So flavourful, so colourful.We were seated promptly and given water and poppadoms with a selection of sauces. We looked at the menu for a long time before deciding what to eat! I went with the Jaipuri Raj Kachori for starter and the Bengali Monkfish for main. The menu is pricey but what we received was worth every penny! The starter was so unusual but amazing, the texture and flavour was unlike anything I ever had! The monkish portion was huge, and delicious! We also got the bread basket (the roti was wow!).My boyfriend got the Seekh kebab and the lamb Rogan Josh which were also fab!We also got dessert, which was the velvet cloud shrikhand and it was a flavourbomb!Altogether we paid 120E which I thought was reasonable with 2 cocktails and a complimentary amuse buche!Go here!

Ananda is a restaurant we had heard of until today; now its a restaurant we have been to (and would love to go to again). And was I surprised! This is hands down the best Indian food I have had outside of India.Everything we ordered was visually amazing. There are some items on the menu that give you a taste of Indian food that you wont get anywhere else ... Like the Jaipuri Raj Kachori. I specially liked the fact that the food was properly spiced. The flavours were subtle and perfectly balanced. I was also very impressed with the Varquay Nalli Lamb. It is almost like a deconstructed biryani. The lamb shank was cooked to melt-in-the-mouth perfection. So to was the Ananda Ghee Roast Goat Curry that my wife ordered. We ended the meal with the Rose Kulfi, and again we werent disappointed.The staff were friendly and attentive.If you are looking for Indian food with a twist, this is the place to go. You wont be disappointed. I know I am definitely going back.My only real complaint, if any would be the chairs. At the smaller tables by the windows, the chairs feel a little small and by the time we were done, I just couldnt stay sat on that chair anymore.

Staff are always a pleasure & I’m glad to see one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to anywhere in the world be offering takeout in these difficult times. Shoutout to Mr. Albert Thomas for helping making this place as amazing as it is! Looking forward to coming back when things are a bit better.

Ananda distinguishes itself by bringing modernized Indian food to Ireland. The dishes look beautiful and are put together with great care. The taste however is still similar to other Indian food places in Ireland in that it is adapted to the local palate rather than being authentic Indian (e.g: sugar/honey added to curries to break the spiciness). It’s a great place but spices and flavors are too shy at ananda.

Magnificent Indian food. Traditional chicken Tikka massala the best i tried. Its a bit pricy but the food is very good. Try to get in before 7 so you can get the early bird. Definitely recommended.

All these stars are for the staff and starters there . Very tasty and very expensive . Expensive I meant in terms of the quantity comparing to the price we pay . We were given a complimentary starter and we thank you for that .

Had the biryani for takeaway recently and it was amazing despite being not very authentic in terms of Hyderabadi flavor. Why not just call it by another name because its salivatingly delicious regardless of the name! Unlike typical biryani, it came with a butter chicken like gravy (which was yummy) apart from yoghurt raita. I will be back for more tasting once you guys open for dine in :) cant wait

Had a variety of dishes, all very good. Noticeably less oily than standard takeaways, excellent flavours even when on the hotter end of the scale. Not cheap, but definitely the best Indian meal weve had in Dublin.

Outstanding food. I loved eating in, but I now enjoy the takeaway option. Food quality is still top even to-go. Easy to order and communicate via Whatsapp. I am so glad they now have saag paneer on the menu. Everything I have had there has been good. The butter chicken is great, but ask for it spicy and its even better.

The Hyderabadi Biryani was simply amazing. This restaurant has some of the finest Indian food Ive ever had, with the right spice balances and respectable use of cilantro (thank god). Im not from Dublin, but I am without question coming back here when Im in town again. Just an absolute gem in Dundrum and the whole city proper.

Having waited patiently to have an evening out, we were not dissappointed. Superb food, wonderful staff and atmosphere. Faultless. Well be back!!

Always love this restaurant and today was no exception...food amazing though menu has been cut drastically! Group was in house when we arrived for opening at 5.30..Young child was running around most of evening without any supervision...we did mention to staff who said they had dealt with situation but with fear of covid and boy touching chairs and tables..it didnt look that way....

We loved every minute and every bite in Ananda. Top class delicious food, amazing service and great atmosphere. It was my 2nd visit with my wife and therell be plenty more!

55 euros menu per person. Are you mad! A dinner on Sunday with my couple 110 euros + tip. Come on is not my fault if you have been close for the COVID for long time, that is not giving you the right to rip off your loyal customers. Not anymore!

I am surprised why its not Michelin star restaurant. The food is absolutely amazing. Bit expensive but totally worth it. Its also in Dundrum shopping center, so very comfortable after shopping. Reservation is surely recommended.

Great takeout service, food was fresh and piping hot.

The manager was racist.. I could easily see the tone he was using in front of the Irish was very different from the one he used for us just because we are foreigners. He literally told us I dont have time for this when we were discussing which of our friends will pay.There are way better places to go if you want a peaceful dining experience with dignity and good food. Pink salt in Bray is an example of such a nice place (I have no affiliations with them BTW).The waitress taking care of us was a gem though. Dont go to this place even though it is considered so high profile. There are way better places.

Spectacular service, ambience and food. Will definitely be back. We had a wide range of delicious food and the chef even catered to my vegan friend. The vegan food was some of the best too! Everything was delicious.

Fine dining at its best. Well deserving of a Michelin, i.e. if the management want one. Lighting in dining area , perhaps, should provide marginally greater luminance

Amazing taste menu! Really recommend taking the tasting menu with the wine. All the dishes was absolutely amazing. The wine was perfectly matched with the food. One of my top three restaurants all time. Strongly recommended. Little bit of from Dublin though.

Seriously, I cannot give Anandas a higher rating, though I wish I could. I wont mention any specific dishes here, youll just have to sample the menu for yourself!

Exceptional food and service. From the amuse bouche, to the starters and main courses, the flavours, textures and presentation were sublime. Seafood, vegetables and meat were all a delight, with the scallops and guinea fowl being particular favourites. The service is personable, warm and kind. Next time I might skip a starter, or order two starters, so I can finally try a dessert. Lovely wine list too.Theres an easy drop off point outside the restaurant for anyone with mobility limitations and a lift up to the restaurant, so its entirely step free. Access from within Dundrum shopping centre too.The ambiance is quiet and the lighting dark, so using a mobile phone light helps to read the menu (the perimeter tables are brighter). Theres also a very nice bar area.If taking the stairs rather than the lift, its not the greatest intro as theres a slightly odd smell and it feels quite unoccupied (though theyve put effort into making it look well). They might consider adding an essential oil diffuser on each landing, perhaps, as the stairwell is the only jarring note in an otherwise superb experience.Highly recommended.

Great food served with a smile. A bit hard to find as the location is tucked away in a hidden corner in Dundrum but more than worth it. Indian cuisine served with style. Go out of your comfort zone as all the dishes in this menu area curated to perfection!
