Very clean & nice place. Especially spending time at evening with family or friends. Having tea and snacks enjoy the calm wind from sea. At dawn the scenery of sunrise is very beautiful.

The Beauty of Old Digha cannot be spoken or written, it can only be felt... specially when one spends the evening by the bay... and the wind blowing... withe music of the sea waves... and it starts to rain... sipping the delicious coffee by the locals... or having fried Pomfret... wow....Satisfaction in different level.All the pics uploaded have not been edited in any way.

Comparatively it is more developed than other beaches in Digha and nearby.Currently, to book hotel on spot they need either 2nd dose covid certificate or RTPCR negative test of maximum members mandatorily.Always try to book hotels on spot by your own, dont go with auto drivers, they get high commission indirectly by us.Well fooding is somehow not good there, except fish items.

Digha is a clean beach where good local food is served also it has ornaments made up of shells and the seafood and beautiful natural view attract many tourists, especially in the evening. The lemon tea served here is awesome and freshly prepared because the hawker carries the stove to serve it hot. Hot tea with cool breeze with...Also, the sun rising in the ocean creates beautiful scenery which seems to be the art of artist with reddish-orange color which makes sky and reflection in ocean beautiful.

Great same day trip place for City and outsiders.

Its a wonderful choice to spend two or three nights at Digha. Beach is clean & safe. One can also enjoy serene beaches nearby or even enjoy some water sports, which is new here. Sea fish and local handicrafts are awesome. Locals ate helpful and mostly honest. Well maintained restrooms are available on the beach. Luxury as well as budget hotels are well available. Beautification and maintenance does right justification to the name Sundari Digha.

Digha is connected to Kolkata/Howrah by a highway and a rail-link via Tamluk. Now many trains including Howrah-Digha Super AC express, Tamralipta express, Kandari express and EMU locals from Santragacchi via Mecheda and Tamluk run between Digha and Howarh and other stations in eastern India.It is also located under Contai Sub division.

A beautiful place for a short trip.

The beach is quite clean however I felt that the old digha sea beach provides better facilities to sit near the seashore than the new digha sea beach. You can spent a lot of time here and hawkers move past you all the time selling foods, snacks, tea etc.

Place should be kept cleaner, kindly fix signages to make people aware of water pollution.Stop them from throwing cups and bottles into the sea, fine them. With those fines, arrange personnel for regular cleaning.Stop people from selling food-items in the beach, make them move towards the market. Use solar-lights to lessen electricity usage!This place has undergone development due to the additional tax imposed on the tourists, assure that these developments are properly maintained!Use PPP model and delegate these tasks to private companies, minimize corruption, use CCTV cameras to track anti-socials or people responsible for spreading garbage, punish them and things would change in the next 2-years.

Digha is one of the best weekend spot from Kolkata. One can reach by train, bus & even by own car but I prefer train. In Digha there is old Digha beach and new Digha beach. There are many hotels nearby of different budget ranges. Beach side stalls of Digha are superb. Green tender coconut, different types of fish fry, fast-food, local handicraft items (specially, showpiece of sea shells and mat), costume jewelleries are available here.

A bit crowded but its clean as compared to what it was, 5 years back.Parachute ride is good but expensive.1500 for 1 person and 2500 for 2.Hotels are good but costly. If u are looking for something around 800 to 1000 then you need to compromise with distance from the sea. The more closer u go towards the sea the rate increases.

Cleaning persons are working nicely to maintain cleanness. Personally I like New Digha. The long beach 🏖️ are so nice. Thrilling adventure added with some joyful rides like parachute, water bike, speed boat etc.

The Old Digha beach is beautiful, especially now that it has been renovated. It is comparatively less crowded than New Digha. The water is also wonderful to look at. The shore has well constructed places for tourists to sit. The market is also amazing and has a wide variety of products.

Digha is one and only sea beach present in West Bengal and no way it is less attractive then any other sea beaches. Every moment Digha is getting developed and many events like paragliding, drafting are available.

In evening time when you walk around beach you will get local sea food on the streets. If you are non vegetarian then you must try it definitely. Not only food, but you will get many other options for shopping. Cashews in digha is found in very low price and you can have it. Jewellery shopping for ladies, car and bike ride for kids and many other options are available to enjoy sidewise. As you are on beach plus you could have many more options to keep yourself engaged...

Cheap and best tourist place 😃

We visited both old Digha and new Digha and both are quite attractive. Digha is just about 190 kms away from central Kolkata and accessible by trains and roads as there are plenty of buses available both ac and non-ac.Administration has taken good care of the place and developed the surrounding. It looks very neat and attractive now. There are a number of hotels available with sea view and are quite affordable for everyone, that is what makes Digha even more popular among one and all.However what we missed this time is taking a bath in the sea, its because of the bund that administration is putting up beside the seashore to arrest the soil erosion. The reason is quite justified however the huge stones placed for this is an impediment for tourists to walk along the seashore and take bath. Hope things will get restored and smooth access will be there soon again.

What a beautiful place that is...

Digha beach has a awesome view but the place is very dangerous. Its slippery & one could easily fall directly into the deep sea. I think it should be modified for the safety of the people & children.

Nice place for weekend tour with family and friends, main attraction is sea beach. More than 1000 Hotels or guesthouses, lodges are there. Good transportation, beside odisha border.But Sea water is not clear like puri or visac or kanyakumari, it always remains muddy, new digha is best for sea bath and beach, tourists comes from old digha to new digha for bath and beach.

Hotel tilla villa is a below average hotel. Service of the hotel boy is bad. It is situated at gobindabasan, barrister coloy, old digha, purba medinipur district, west bengal. Old digha sea beach is about one minute walking distance from here, biswa bangla gate is about 8 minute walking distace from here. Restaurant is there. There is no sea view room. Sea can be seen from the top roof.Tariff varies according to the season or date almost in all hotels in digha.

Its a beach where you can enjoy with your friends. Especially if you are looking for a pocket friendly place to go and have fun then its the place. But I strictly would not recommend this place to anyone with there family. You would simply embarass yourself.

This is a lovely place!! Ideal weekend gateway for friends and family.You can spend some time by the beach or go for buying some local stuff from the beachside shops. You can easily spend 2-3 days here without getting bored!

Very peaceful. The crowd isnt that much like yesteryears. But all the stalls are functional and following hygiene standards. An early morning walk towards the mohona is a bliss.
