The Bay of Bengal looks the most beautiful from this place. Although the area is filled with stingy or foul smell, you will feel better as you near the shore. The Bombay stones make for an interesting background. You can purchase a variety of fishes here or simply enjoy drinking tender coconut water. Its about an hour from New Digha

Mohona Watch Point is the confluence of River Champa and the great Bay of Bengal. It offers stunning views of the sunrise as well as that of the surroundings. The place also operates as a busy fish market in the morning, where fishermen collect, pack, distribute, and deliver many varieties of fish to numerous locations. The whole market is an exciting place to be at, to witness Digha’s bustling commercial side. Here, you will get to see dried bhetki and hilsa of significant sizes that you can also buy. Best time to visit this place is morning and evening time. During high tide this place is closed and very dengerous

This place is a confluence of river Champa and Bay of Bengal and also a really a great place to buy some fresh fishes, crabs, prawns, lobsters and many more from the fisherman who cathes them and ring them on the shore at earliest of the morning. Though I would suggest instala9of dustbins for better cleanliness.

DIGHA MOHONA is the estuary of Champa River. Near the estuary the river becomes very broad and falls in the Bay of Bengal. The fishing trawlers remains moored in places deep into the river, along several creeks or river bank. When the tide is high and the water is sufficient, the trawlers venture into the sea. The river bank is sandy and embanked by rocks. A pavilion has been created by the authorities for the visitors, with the River Champa on one side and the Bay of Bengal on another. The pavilion leads to a long jetty leading into the sea. Walking on the jetty, deep into the sea, is exciting!

Digha Mohona watch point is actually the place where river met the bay of bengal. It is a must visit place. Youll have a wonderful experience by felling the beauty of the waves. It is located approximately 5 km away from New Digha but it is well connected via roadway. There is a huge fish market with lots of sellers selling various kinds of fish at Mohona. You can easily find a fish of your choice at comparatively cheap price. Overall one should visit the place to have an experience of Mohonas wonderful panoramic views of Bay of Bengal.

Wow... What a scenic beauty. It is situated in the estuary of River Champa at Bay of Bengal. Very flat beach during low tide. Communication from Old Digha is smooth. It is also connected by Digha Beach Road at a stretch. It takes only 20-22 min.to reach here from old Digha through Beach road. Development work are on going. Fish markets are so big and cheap to buy fish. People should come here to feel the marvellous panoramic view.

Fish market is good and Mohona is also has excelent viewIts just 15-20 minutes drive from new Digha/old Digha. Its a huge market for fish lovers. A place where you can see and buy different kinds of fishes. Fishes directly come from boats and go to the auction. Morning is the best time for going to the Digha Mohana. It is a Whole sale market for fish. Nice to see huge variety of sea fish. The fish market makes this place a little worse, if you are beauty lover. But you will not regret the beautiful view of Sunrise here is Mohona. The Champa river coming from Sankarpur meets here with bay of Bengal. You can also visit it during the sunset and enjoy the calm Serene and the extensive coast. Beach is nice and calm.A good place to visit but the entrance is bit muddy and full of smell of fishes. Transport ( Van/Auto/Toto) from new/old Digha is available. Nature at its best. Very good place but beware of sleep and water spash. you can see here how local people fishing with hook and stick

Its one of a tourist spot in old Digha.I can say that it is one of the place where you will see the point where champa river and Bay of Bengal meets. Its like a warehouse of fishes, fishes are exported from here to different parts of the world. You can also have a encounter with crabs here.CAUTION:- Dont go too close to the meeting point, the waves here are more turbulent and wild. I can suggest you people to visit this place in afternoon rather than morning or evening because the no. Of tourists are less in afternoon because of scorching heat.

Digha is a seaside resort town in the state of West Bengal, India. It lies in Purba Medinipur district and at the northern end of the Bay of Bengal. It has a low gradient with a shallow sand beach. It is the most popular sea resort in West Bengal.Dighas old beach is not as wide as it used to be due to heavy soil erosion. Big stones and concrete steps are used to hold together the beach. Another problem is the record number of storm surges that have caused many of the unplanned shacks and smaller hotels to succumb to the sea. Since it is one of very few popular beaches in West Bengal, it gets overcrowded, especially during the cooler winter break.A new beach has been developed New Digha which is about 2 km (1.2 mi) from the old beach. This new beach is not only bigger than the old one, but might be considered a better one.
