Had a chance to experience their buffet dinner. Variety of items across different cuisines were available. Taste was really great and service was also on point. The restaurant is quite spacious and I also liked the ambiance. Very satisfying and highly recommended.

Swimming pool start time was 9 am , which doesnt make sense for people who are on business trip. Stay was comfortable like any other hotel, there was nothing extra ordinary or special. House keeping staff deserves an applaud especially who were catering to my room, very courteous, understanding and always smiling.The surprising fact was, a certain beverage was available at restaurant but was non available for room services, was asked to go down to the bar. Requested for replacement of hair shampoo, which caused irritation but was denied under the pretext of brand image. surprised to know that IC hotel manufactures hair shampoo under their brand name.

I and my wife went for the buffet dinner. The food tastes really good. Especially their desserts. I dont know why I didnt like their sushi. Overall our experience was satisfactory.

As usual it was great like always. Specially the room & fitness centre was amazing. A special thanks to Mr. Alfred Manik for making our stay wonderful & comfortable.Although Restaurants (Element & Aqua deck ) service felt under staff. Buffet didn’t had much options. Anyway it is my favourite hotel in Dhaka and hope to come back soon.

Went for an overnight stay. The staff were not very welcoming and keeps checking up on you when you get on the lift, that whether you are hotel guest or not. When the lift cannot go to any other floor without the key card, I felt its a bit of a harassment every time you want to move in and out of your room. However, the food and the restaurant service was top notch.

Had a official meeting over there. Their arrangement is pretty good. Sitting arrangement and interior top class.

It was a nice experience staying this hotel. I specially want to mention Ms. Samia ( reception) for her cordial assistance starting from Room booking to upto my stay in the Hotel. In my opinion one thing need to improve that is Food quality

The property is quite big. You get a lot of pockets within the hotel to roam around. From the outset to inside, it’s quite modern.Room was excellent and spacious. It was clean with all the needed amenities. Specially, I loved the bathroom. It has a big bathtub where two persons can fit-in easily. Each chambers are separated, so that you get some privacy even from your partner. TV screen is of standard size. The front sofa is helpful to chill-around

We were a family with a toddler stayed in the hotel. It was a very short stay but my boy and we enjoyed the stay very much. My kid loves the pool. And the bed were very comfortable. Food taste and items could improve a bit.Cleanliness was spot on all over the hotel premises.

We stayed this August, 2021 right after they have resumed their operations after lock down. So many of their restaurants were closed like amber, opus. Well maintained rooms and it was cleaner than my last visit. The hotel is right middle of city. So definitely recommended who wants to stay close to south.

I stayed at this hotel for business and due to the Pandemic that faces us all, this hotel was not up to speed.I have an immense appreciation for the protocols surrounding how hotels deal with their guests and certainly the potential to have close contacts however when food turns up unannounced and without any notification of any type, it begs to differ the fact of, is this a hotel or a very low grade motel?I was certainly unimpressed in the very least to have a lot of my meals going cold for hours on end or not even consuming them due to a lack of consideration and the potential of getting sick because of the hotels inability to serve hot meals.I did have one meal replaced and yes it was warmer than cold however I then had to put up with the issue of not even getting the same that was delivered initially in my order.In addition to this sub standard service, the room had a very distinct smell of dampness in it, so knowing that this was a business trip, I would certainly NOT recommend staying here for these reasons.

I reserved a suite to celebrate our 12th anniversary. Coincidently, the room number matched our anniversary date. 05= May, 27 is the day we got married. The services were excellent. We have arrived there just after our wedding, staff was friendly and helped us to check in smoothly. Room and others facilities was good. However, Food was not that good, specially we have tried some local dish from room service, and they were not good.

What I needed among all these depressing days that full of bad news and workloads, in this pandemic, was a tranquil day. And I was offered exactly that. The room was maintained properly, the view was nice and the bed complimented the other things. Perfect in a word.

We had a good experience and thanks to the friendly staff for the quality of service which was up to 5* standards. We had a nice room facing the pool side. The pool side was quite aesthetic and relaxing. We enjoyed the buffet dinner which had a vast variety. The hospitality of staff members and housekeeping was great. We really enjoyed our relaxing stay!

Mr. shuvra Dhar was real gentleman. This kind of personality you need for hospitality business. Everything was excellent except drinks price was too high. A lot more than U.S.A keep an eye on that. Trust me I’m working at the 5 star hotel and I visited so many countries and checked their price as well. Other than that everything was just fantastic!

Without doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed during my time in Bangladesh! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and general manager, our names were mentioned on the board .The staff was extremely friendly, the restaurant very flexible (appreciate this!) and the restaurant supervisor deserves a special thanks. We had two great evenings here, which obviously also added up to the experience.. The scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. The natural bath on the end was a great way to end the trekking.

Got my card information stolen. Used my local visa card to pay at Cafe Social and it was the last place I used my card. That night someone tired to use my card three times in a dollar transaction and it didnt work because my card does not allow USD transaction. I had to close the card this morning.Becareful when you are staying here. Quality has improved but it is still a government owned hotel.

This was our 2nd staycation at this hotel. the stay was comfortable and enjoyable, except for the buffet dinner which was very disappointing. breakfast was good though.

The hotels staff and high standards of service made this stay one of our memorable anniversary experiences. After check-in, Jahangir accompanied us to the room and explained the various amenities. Then as we had requested, he gave us a tour of the property, which we much appreciated as I personally used to visit this hotel in 1965 - 67 and could compare the outstanding renovation/redesign work done. At the poolside bar Abul Kalam and Muksudur Rahman made things pleasant for us. At the gym Faruque Ahmed and Albinus Mankhin helped us with an excellent sauna and steam bath experience. The Guest Relations Manager Shakhawth Hossain and Zavedul Islam Manager Opus Lounge deserve special mention for asking after us. Saidur Rahman was most attentive with Room Service.

This was a nice place to visit to take a little break after a few months without going on a full vacation. Took advantage of their special deal that matches the room cost with food and beverage credit. We got a nice view with the room which made it so much better. Food is great. I just say dont to while cricket players are there if you want full pool usage. Also they have limits to how many people at the pool die to covid. Juice drinks are so crazy expensive.

We were there with our kids. Room was quite spacious and neat. Loved the bathroom pretty much. Bed was quite big and comfortable. Complementary Breakfast was very good. Only turn off was the gym which was not well equipped. I will definitely go back and recommend others to go. One of the best in Dhaka.

The name of the hotel is enough for people to wanting to stay there. It lured us too! We went there to stay for one night ended up staying for 3 consecutive days. Their rooms are really fine and comfortable for you to not wanting to get up from bed. The view is pretty spectacular too! The bathroom is pretty spacious too. About the staff they are really friendly and helpful! We had a bbq buffet dinner;was pretty good! Over pricing of their food/beverages has always been the only problem. For instance they sell half litre mum for 200 bucks.

I went there to stay few nights as staycation but i didnt stay more than 1 night. The staffs were mannerless , my kid did scream couple of times as usual as he is only 4 years old , and the dining staff came and behaved rudely and told us to keep the baby calm. That was unacceptable because a 4 years old baby can scream a little bit , you cant do anything about it also no guest did complaint.This made me leave the hotel the next day.So i dont recommend this hotel for staycation or with family. The staffs are rude and they dont know hospitality.

Stayed one night at the hotel with my newly married wife. It was a wonderful experience. They decorated the bed with balloons. And they gave us a complementary cake which we really liked. Their service and hospitality was top-notch. Everything was clean and comfortable. They could have increased the item variety for the complementary breakfast buffet, but the taste of the items available was good, especially the dessert items. Me and my wife would love to visit and stay at Intercontinental Dhaka some other day in the future and experience a splendid getaway that Intercontinental managed to give us during our recent stay.

We had breakfast buffet here. It was pretty good but they need to work more on hygiene, found hair in one of the donuts, also found lipstick mark on one of the glasses. Apart from this everything else was good.

I had a lovely stay at the Intercontinental for my birthday! Thank you to the hotel staff for making this as special as it could be at this unpresidented time. Breakfast included was amazing. Late and early check out. Room was great, clean with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Flowers with cake to top it off! Thank you again, I will be returning in the future!

Even after so many days, I remember their name.Mr. Mithun helped me to understand regarding foods and helped me with my favorite vanilla cappuccino. Mr. Momin Ali, served the breakfast whenever I was in the middle of something or could not self serve. Absolutely lovely behavior both of them have. They are very consistent regarding their behavior and cordiality. Loved MS Reshmi, how she cordiality welcome everyday on the breakfast table.Loved the breakfast and pool side food (wish it could have been opened for longer period of time).

From the very 1st time I was impressed by the service culture of this hotel. Thats why I keep returning here. But this time I was a bit dissatisfied. Although Duty Manager Mr Tuhin was very helpful and offered necessary resolutions. Mr Shoujono is fabulous as always. His personalized service got me hooked to this hotel. But sadly this time the man who was at the Telephone Call Center at night appeared very harsh and unwelcoming. I wasnt expecting this considering my previous stays which created my addiction to this hotel.

Dear Concern,Being a member I was expecting better service during my stay.I had asked for ROOM cleaning at 7p.m and it been cleaned even I came back at 1am. Pillow was not comfortable.I had manage the night without sleep and had to leave by 6am in the morning.It is not a complain but just a sharing so that it doesnt get repeated.Much RegardsShagar

I cant speak for everyone, but Intercontinental has the most sweetest behaving staff there is. They are sure to make you feel at home and ready to help you with everything they have. I Highly recommend anyone to visit here, even if you are not spending the night, just to have dinner to feel the Intercontinental experience.

This was my second time staying at the hotel and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. I would however have preferred if the ACs in the room were much cooler! Overall experience was good and would stay again! High praises for Mr. Mahbub who is the manager at breakfast - very attentive and friendly.

It was really wonderful experience. I went there with my family for day off relaxation. We are pleased to their great hospitality. We enjoyed a lot their buffet dinner at elements restaurant. Complimentary breakfast also amazing. Especially, my 2 kids enjoyed a lot their pool & pool side environment (Aquadeck). That’s why, I strongly recommend to stay there comfortable.

Staff seems to get stressed out in a rush hour. They didnt explain the package adequately, which I booked for my stay. For this reason, they overcharged us during checkout out. I followed the bill after I came back home and I called them. But After giving complaints, they didnt respond to me with any reply. They also mismatched my room with another person during check-in. I got my second room at 7:30 pm!! The worst experience I had in any other hotel in Dhaka.

My family had a tremendous experience at the Intercon. Starting from arrival to the rooms, housekeeping, in room dining, food and Beverage outlets etc. There were a lot of individuals who stood out.Mr Zaved was his usual very hospitable self and was always discretely around to ensure we were comfortable. For dining Mydul and the team and chef were continuing their very special service. Housekeeping ladies Naznin and Noorjahan were quietly efficient.There were no doubt others, however, so to appreciate them in my positives I rate the the stay very positively. Will come again.

Well, first of all, I am satisfied with the cleanliness of the hotel, and how staffs sanitize the hotel. Specifically, washrooms and bathrooms are super clean. Restaurant at the ground floor is cheaper than the Amber Room and waiters at the ground floor restaurant have good anticipation , friendly and helpful. Specially, I would like to mention Moniruzzaman . It is note worthy that both restaurants have good foods.Air conditioning in my rom was not good , room was not cooled off and I had a sweaty night .

The International Buffet was loaded with biriyani and fried rice. Only items that tasted good was the steak and prawns. Ice cream was good as well. Ambience was non existent for me except the piano player. Decor was really of poor taste. Elements should refurbish and rebrand itself. Service was okay.

Bedroom and bathroom were topnotch, just wish the TV was bigger. Room was well equipped. Breakfast was fantastic. Swimming pool depth is only 4 feet, but the temperature of the water and pool deck were perfect. Excellent service as well overall.

An iconic hotel in the heart of historical Dhaka city 5/7mins drive from old town. The hotel has been owned by several chains in past.The old front building is amazing with the window designs like seashells and the new extension brings more volume to the facilty. Although it used to host international cricket teams and airlines crews in past, it tries to remain professional even after the hotel has become less important in terms of location and serving high-end crowds.Anyways, the new interior design of the lobby and floors makes it feel more classical with Victorian style, but the old 80s interior is missed!

I had an amazing experience staying at Intercontinental Dhaka. The staffs were really amazing and the service was really very good. The room setup and view was amazing. They gave us some complimentary room decorations as I mentioned romantic getaway. Overall, I had a memorable stay there.

You will just fall in love with their hospitality, food & environment.This hotel also have a historical value.During the 1971 war this place is called no war zone. Because lots of international journalist & diplomats used to stay here.This newly renovated hotel gives you the cozy environment. Sometimes we dont only buy food we also buy the ambience.. So if you are looking for a good upscale environment with some delicious food this place is just for you. As its a truly 5star hotel so definitely the cost of food & staying in this place will be bit high. But trust me its worth it. You wont regret.Im definitely recommending this place ❤️
