Ambience is perfect for private dining. The decoration and vibe gives you feels of Mexico.They hands down serve the best nachos in Bangladesh!! It is so so so good I can’t stress enough. The generous scoop of sour cream, which itself it delicious on its own, (the best tasting in food business) goes perfectly with the light and crisp nacho chips. There is a generous amount of filling provided as well. It might seem a bit expensive at first glance but trust me it is so worth the money, definitely get this if you want to try one dish from them. Secondly their variety of Mexican food in the menu is commendable. I love their tacos as well, but last time I visited I had the Steak Taco, which tastes amazing but the sauce they drizzle on top is a bit bland and overpowers the taste of the filling. Overall, a lovely place to spend time with friends and family and meet your Mexican food cravings. Definitely recommend!

This is an expensive restaurant. The food quality here was always very good. But recently I was disappointed with the food. The burritos we ordered were soggy. The Nachos we ordered tasted like local Fuchkas. Overall it was not satisfactory. I dont know what happened to the old El Toro. I hope they change their chef. Last thing Id like to say is, dont order drinks. We drank Coca-Cola of 320ml for 320Taka. Literally 1 taka per ml. Service was satisfactory. Thats it.

The place is the best Mexican food hub. after relocating of this shop I couldnt find it for a longer period. but few days back I figured out where it is. after so many days there taste is unchanged. some of the items are improvised. Near to perfect, their foods are testy, spicy and different. Their menu name is really different, Near to original Maxican food. Environment is cozy, they tried to give Maxican look. Weaiters are helpful. But they dont accept cards (any sort of). They also maintain strict closing time.

This is the second time I am visiting El Toro after about 10 years. This time I took my wife with me. She wanted to try Mexican cuisine and I wanted to make sure she enjoyed it, hence El Toro. However, soon after our food arrived, I started to feel that something is missing. The tacos were alright, despite the fact that my wife was telling me shes getting all fuchka flavours from it. Then there was this ginger chicken, rice, refried beans dish (forgot the fancy name for it) that was unpleasant. Ginger in the chicken was overpowering, rice was just bland. Then came two drinks, a virgin mojito and another having a fancy name. Virgin Mojito was okay but the fancy one was sugar factory. We were not happy with the food. Is it the same El Toro that I went 10 years ago or my palate has changed? The second one is very unlikely because I have had experience of trying authentic Mexican dish when I was in US and I loved it. I know I love Mexican cuisine, but I didnt like this El Toro. Im giving it a 3-star only out of benefit of doubt from my previous experience.

The restaurant is good for authentic Mexican food. Price is a bit high though. I personally didnt like their peach melba drink because I dont like vanilla ice cream. Their chicken Nachos is best. Also I liked their side which was served with tacos. Overall good food.

This is the most authentic and authoritative Mexican restaurant in Dhaka. The menu is quite diverse which offers a taste of major Mexican dishes. I tasted a lot of items and surprisingly even though the basic ingredients remain the same the dishes produce distinctive taste. Nachos, quesadilla, taco, mexican flag all had their own flavor. As for the ambience the place is a spectacular piece of Mexico. Spacious seating arrangement makes it ideal for all kinds of gatherings. Finally this is an experience that deserves a visit.

Basically, this is a restaurant for authentic Mexican foods. It is really specious and their service is absolutely fabulous. Some of their food is very tasty, some are tasty and some are like eh 🙄. Actually the chicken burrito was pretty ok-ish. Otherwise the rest of them were ok to very good. Recommended if you love authentic taste of foods. I liked them but not loved them. I guess you can try. And seemed a bit pricey than the foods worth.

I went for lunch today, and had a bad experience. Dark dinning, tacos were very very bad: meet was gummy, cheese cold... nothing to see with a real taco.Service was passive and I had troubles paying my bill with card.I will never be back and won’t recommend this restaurant.Sorry, you need to work on your preparation in the kitchen.Los tacos son un puto asco.

Interior is nothing like what you see here in the pictures. The place is really dark. Besides the interior and the uncomfortable seats, the food was stale, especially the rice. The rice they served with the Fajitas made me feel like vomiting. Such a bad experience after a long time, hope no one goes through what I had to for the long hour I was there.

El Toros relocation from Gulshan 1 to 2 has had a lamentable impact on their cuisine. My last meal comprised of guacamole and steamed fish, both dishes bristling with zest and spiciness we expect from Mexican cuisine.This time around, I had a slight cold and asked the waiter for their hottest dish. I was met with askance as the server explained to me that none of the dishes were all that spicy. The reason being people dont like spicy food.I was aghast, and asked for a chili bowl and enchiladas. The chili bowl was bland, the enchiladas had a little kick. It was sad, almost tragic.It is lamentable that such a traditional house of Mexican cuisine will have lost its spirit.However, I will concede that the ambience and the seating is better than ever. In particular, the soft music flowing from afar is one of the best setups in any restaurant in Dhaka.For spicy Mexican cuisine, I fear I will have to go look for other places in Dhaka. It hurts to have to lose El Toro to inoriginality.

Best Mexican food in Dhaka. Never disappoints. Carne Asada steak meal is a great deal, but overall the menu is on the pricier side. Didnt like the fact that I have to pay so much just to have a Coke (they only have imported kind)

Price is expensive. Not that much variety. Mexican food was ok but could have been better. Staffs were good but not that much impressive place. They had a Pina Colada which was very delicious. The ambiance was a bit dark probably that was the theme.

This place will give you a warm and cozy atmosphere with Mexican ambiance. El Toro is one of my favourite restaurants. This has been my favourite since my first visit in 2005. Their food quality and service is very good. I always try the combo meal they offer. My favourite Mexican Item is Chimichanga, Taco and Enchilada. The interior looks awesome.

Hands down the best Mexican food in Dhaka. Their service is excellent, and they will comply with practically all dietary restrictions if you mention them while ordering. Their beef items are miles ahead of the chicken ones, so if you’re faced with the option of picking between one of the meats, go with the beef.

The best Mexican restaurant in town. All the foods are great and the ambiance is very Mexican as well. It one if my most loved and hated places.The biggest and irritating down side is they dont serve local soda drinks, they only serve imported drinks. Maybe thats to get ppl ordering their in house drinks, but those are not up to the mark. Some people like is dont prefer that kind of sweet and thick drinks.My suggestion is atleast bring in Ginger Ale and other imported drinks, of you dont wana serve local coke and act real cool.about it.Hence i am give a star less.

Enchiladas and Burritos are also available for both vegetarian and meat lovers. Beautiful Mexican interior. The place has its own charm and welcoming warmth! It will be a great food experience.

I absolutely adore mexican food and this place gives me exactly what I want. The tacos are delicious, nachos are amazing, everything is so tasteful and delicious. Their minced meat is so good and goes with the foods that include them so well. Overall Ive loved everything Ive eaten there.

A cozy comfortable place for Mexican fine dine-in. The interior is really nice, you will feel like you are somewhere in Mexico. The food is also of great quality. If you dont know what to order, the staff are always there to assist you. The price is a little on the higher side, but I guess thats okay for the authenticity of the food. For a diet that is heavily dependent on many of the same basic foods (bread, rice and meat), it is surprising that more Mexican restaurants dont thrive in Dhaka. But El Toro has survived and thrived for years. The food is excellent, and prepared with great care. Service is great. Best of all, it is often not very crowded, so you can relax over a long, heavy lunch or dinner. The deep fried ice cream is very highly recommended.

El Toro is an excellent Mexican restaurant with ambience to match. Located in upmarket Gulshan, the restaurant is priced suitably. It boasts of imported taco shells. The Guacamole i ordered was great, though Salsa wasnt very fresh. The Fajitas, though, were just as advertised - great! The place doesnt do alcohol like a lot of other places in Bangladesh. A good option for those seeking an alternative to Bengali cuisine during their time in Dhaka. All in all, a 4 star place.

The food here is the closest Ive eaten to real Mexican here in Dhaka. Definitely would recommend to try it out, especially the Tacos and Nachos.The only problem is that, pricing is relatively high, but if you have that extra cash to have some good Mexican, definitely come here.

This is by far one of our favourite restaurants in Dhaka. The quality is well-above what you normally get in Bangladesh. Weve gone here a bunch of times and plan to come again. The atmosphere is also really nice: they play nice Spanish music and the lighting is low. Prices are in the 400-700 BDT range. Good portions and just delicious!

Overall Food was terrible. We ordered nachos, and combo 5 and burrito. Nachos was the best dish among the three we ordered. The other 2 dish were slightly bitter especially the maxican rice. we went there to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary but it was complete disaster.

Same great taste since 2004 (that was the first time I had been there). They now have moved to their new and convenient location without any loss of the charming decor or the taste of their food. Infact, the food taste seemed to improved a bit, the washrooms are much better now, and a better parking option. It also came with a price, the price has gone up, however, I believe it is justified as the there is marked improvement in many areas and hopefully will keep the great service.
