Central Police Hospital (CPH) is the top hospital of Bangladesh Police. From this hospital policemen and their family members get modern medical treatment and medicine.It was established in 1954. It was upgraded from 70 beds to 250 beds in 1997-2005 under a project titled Modernization of Bangladesh Police Hospitals.Deputy Director of the CPH Dr Md Emdadul Hoque, SP, told UNB that the hospital has been giving COVID treatment maintaining international rules and regulations. High quality Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) and other protective gears have been provided for its doctors, nurses and health staff from the very beginning.Though Rajarbagh Central Police Hospital (CPH) has been providing treatment to more than four times COVID-19 infected patients beyond its capacity, the number of infected physicians of the hospital is very low due to strict protective measures. The number of COVID-19 infection among doctors, nurses and health staff are very few compared to other designated hospitals due to supply of adequate number of international standard PPPs, he said.Replying to a question, Dr Md Emdadul Hoque said presently the CPH has been giving treatment to more than 1100 COVID-19 infected patients.Among the patients, only 350 are taking treatment at the hospital, while others are taking treatment at temporary isolation centers like Detective Training School (DTS), Traffic Barrack, Siddishawry School and College, Hotel Victory and Hotel Capital.Contacted, Assistant Inspector General (AIG-Media) of Police Headquarters Md Sohel Rana said special teams have been formed at various police units at the directive of the IGP Benazir Ahmed to look after physical situation of corona-affected policemen.

Its a dedicated hospital for our Proud police department. Within few years the government has redecorated and newly established the hospital with new structures and facilities. It really looks very beautiful inside the arena and also inside the hospital.Went there to take my Covid vaccination. The system of vaccinating is very systematic. They have a large sitting area for general people as its separate from the police vaccination arena.Overall very good and deserved facility for our Police Department.

Central police hospital ( CPH ) is bangladesh police hospital. I was hospitalised due to covid 19. I was in word and later on shifted to cabin. Hospital washroom was expectedly clean. Doctors visited twice ( morning and night ) a day. Stuffs behavior is very friendly. Normally hospital foods are rarely good. CPH foods are really healthy for covid 19 patients.

Generally this hospital is for police force. I went there for COVID-19 vaccine.

The most beautiful government hospital in BD with the worst Outdoor Patient Department. Here the OPD medical officers have to attend 85 patients daily on an average, 6 days a week. Most of the persons come for taking free medicines for self and relatives. The Medical Officers here regularly doing just clerical work. They only have 3/4 minutes for confronting each patient . In this short time they have to review the prescription carried by the patient and write each medicine s name both in patient s health book as well as in the medicine slip. Besides they have to write investigation slips, referral note, report review. Along with these versatile works they continuously listen to the patients and talk to them. So its a total mismanagement . The CPH authority seems to be lacking human resources management knowledge. Its a shame. No doctor should do this type of job where the medical profession is devalued. Not recommended at all.

Neat and clean with good infrastructure and dedicated staffs.

This is such a unique architecture and amazing hospital. The level of care, maintenance, and clean up were quite unbelievable. The gardens were unattended and there was trash everywhere. Almost best to take a picture from the currency it will leave you with a better image.

Hospital authority managed this empty place as a public mosque. This newly made mosque has wash room and toilet facilities for pedestrians whose are come here for prayer with hospital guests. This is a very useful for fokirapool bus stop area pedestrians also.♿Have fully wheelchair accessible parking in front of the mosque with enough space.

Very Poor Experience !!!I ,a BD police member, am very unfortunate to say that it was my first visit of this hospital. My batchmates rarely told me that why dont you go to our hospital being a police member ? I answered them, I actually never got sick or needed to go to this hospital yet.By the way, I went to this hospital today for a better consultancy about my father diseases. But the doctor surprised me. I was totally embarrassed about doctors behavior/manner. But I wasnt really ready for this poor behavior.Anyway, I love my department/BD police.

Central police hospital is really good, its almost free for police. It sometimes give treatments to local people that gets injured or has accidents. This video was taken just opposite of CPH. A cement truck had an accident and broke a hole on the main road from rajarbag to fokirapul. It took almost five days to repair the road just like a new road.
