The Directorate of Printing and Publishing is an affiliate of the Ministry of Public Administration of the Government of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh. Its headquarters are located in Tejgaon Shill area of Dhaka. Chittagong, Khulna and Bogra Zonal Office, except 05 (location) T Press / Unit Offices and a zonal offices located in the industrial area. Regulation No. 2 of the then Ministry of Establishment as the successor to Government Printing, Writing, Forms and Publications and Stationery Office, along with the emergence of independent sovereign Bangladesh. According to G-11 / IP-13 / 72-1002, Dated 30th August 1972, the Directorate of Printing, Writing, Forms and Publications was created to oversee and control the activities of the government offices and press. Later, the Bangladesh Security Printing Press was established to meet the need for secret printing of government security. The government promoted the Directorate to the Department on 26-26 and declared it as the Directorate of Printing and Publishing on 7-8-26.
