A nice small lighthouse that you can actually climb from inside! This is located inside the devgad fort and a must place to visit. There is small tourist fee that they take at the entry gate. One can enter the light house and can climb to the top to get some beautiful views. There is a spiral staircase that is easy to climb. But at the last stage, there an inclined fix steel ladder which you have to climb to get to the top most portion in order to have the views. The light house closes in the evening just before the sun touching horizon as they need to turn on the light inside.
Old lighthouse but beautifully maintained. Now its centrally managed. When we visited (around 10 am) in charge of lighthouse gave us very good information and background of it. Also allowed us to go up. From top of lighthouse gallery we could see breathtaking view of devgad beach, sea and fort.Worth visiting this.
It is crowded usually but was lucky to visit when there was less crowd. You need to climb the staircase and then reach the top part using a ladder and need to be very careful while climbing minding your head. I dont know if this has happened with anyone else but we were charged ₹20 as entry fee and werent given any receipt. On asking they straightaway denied. Overall the view is very beautiful from top of the lighthouse.
Devgarh Lighthouse is inside the fort about 3 km west of Devgarh town on theNational Highway-17. The nearest Railway Station is Kankavli on Konkan Railway, 60 kmeast of Devgarh. The Lighthouse tower is situated close to the bastion of the Fort on thesouthern side of entrance to Devgarh harbour, which is a natural harbour. However due to theless depth of water smaller vessels can only enter. when you visit here keep identity card with you, they ask for id.thank you
Some beautiful views atop this lighthouse. Situated on Devgad fort, it offers some majestic views of the sea. After a normal spiral staircase, u have to climb a ladder and go through a hatch to go outside on the viewing platform. Entry fee of Rs. 20 per adult. Kids are free. Devgad fort also has some beautiful views
Best view if go on the evening you will see dolphin 🐬
Devgad Light house is on island near Karwar, built in 1933 by Britishers who were ruling India then.It has a big prism glass which magnifies light multiple times. At night this light can be seen at 40 Nautical miles distance.Mr. Sudeep, man who stays alone on this island and operates this light house. You can see some of the lamps from British era which were operated on kerosene. Nowadays its lit with electricity.Beautiful scenic view can be seen from top.

Devgad LightHouse is open for tourist and you can enter with very minimal fees. A Naval person is available to guide you, He describes and share good information about how lighthouse works and different Signals that used to guide fishermen about weather conditions. This is very old lighthouse built almost a century ago.You can see Devgad creek on one side and It gives complete view of Devgad Port which is naturally secured one. And Arabian See on other side. Backside is windmills. If you are visiting Devgad, lighthouse is must visit place.
Lighthouse at the edge and inside of Devgad Fort. You can visit the light house by paying a small fee. The light house is not that tall maybe because its already on a small hill. The people working there will take you up to the top. You can get a good view of Devgad and its sorrounding including Devgad Fort and the sea. Nice photo opportunity on the top. It would look beautiful during rainy season although I went during summer. Parking is available outside Devgad Fort.
Devgad Lighthouse is based out of devgad fort. Is usually closed for visitors and is opened for visitors between 4:00PM-5:00PM. Devgad port is a natural port hence this lighthouse plays a key role for all the fishery boats.
Nice scenic place to visit , Rs.20/- is the entry fee to visit the light house, 4.30pm to 6pm is ideal for some beautiful photo captures.
View of sea is magnificant from the light house

Devgad Fort
After visiting the historically important water fort of Devgad, one should also visit the lighthouse there. The rotating radar antenna was pointing at a distance.Walking in that direction, we came to a door with a little jar open. The lighthouses spectacular gallery was full of people. But there was a faint sign on the door saying place closed due to covid 19.A little hesitantly, we went inside and asked the people who were there. On top of that, there is an entrance fee of twenty rupees per person. We will show you the lighthouse after paying it, he said. Then a man really came with us and he was needed. There is a helical staircase at the top to go up into the lighthouse. And there’s a vertical ladder as it ends.It takes an experienced person to go up that ladder. This place is also strategically important. Therefore, it is necessary to have an official person with the visitors. We later learned that the man who came with us was from the Navy.Of course, all of this staircase design is completely contrary to current concepts of accessibility! But the view from the gallery was really amazing. In the distance, I could see the sea, Devgad beach and Wadivale creek for a long time. When you come back, you have to do the exercise of descending the ladder once again. And it seems even more difficult. But without it, it is impossible to realize the important achievement of getting a panoramic view of the fort and the beach.
The light houses at Devgad fort are visible to the people.
Very nice, very good experience at sunset
