Excellent school for overall development of students. My child has been participating in a number of activities organised by the school which is very helpful for her grooming and also for building her confidence. Academics are also given a lot of importance so board results are best.

I am studying in DIS and i am proud of it. Currently i am in class 12th. Huh, Boards. DIS is at front in every field. Thats why its the best school. Teachers are well educated and gives individual attention to all. Our director is very highly educated person. He motivates the children to choose a field and be the best in it. Bullying is not a problem in our school and no fights take place. When i will pass out i will really miss this place.

The Doon School is a boys-only independent boarding school in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. It was founded in 1935 by Satish Ranjan Das, a Kolkata lawyer, who prevised a school modelled on the British public school, but conscious of Indian ambitions and desires.

Its not a good place for studying. Money is given priorities over students future. Borders are given priorities over day scholars as Dis officials are able to grab a big couch of bucks from them and not from dayscholars

I m studying in Doon international school . I like my school very much . Many co-curricular activities are conducted for our up gradation . Teaching staff is also very helpful and knowledgeable.

I send my brother in this school in class VII last year in 2018. After final exams students of class VII were taken for the picnic in Nainital. Last nite before going to picnic my brother sachin lohiya got injured in his room and had a serious injury in his left eye. The School authorities than told him that rite now they dont have any medical facility. And every month in the school fees they have medical charges included in it. Next day they took him for picnic with all his eye red and swollen without any medical check up and any medical help and not even inform the parents about the injury. Being not so mature child my brother went for the picnic for one week without any medical help sufferring in pain. When he came back to home after 7 days on 30.03.2019 with all blue and red swollen eye, the situation of the eye disturbed the whole family and then we had done all medical treatment in hospital. How can a school with such a big image be so unserious to any of the child who is living there away from his family. Now we dont believe this school anymore and there boarding system as well. I am giving one star becoz without any star u cannot post anything. I hope my voice will reach the management.

Hated this place.Correct example of uche dukaan pheeke pakwan. I entered here for highschool education and found very partial teachers not interested in teaching but are interested in all the other activities going in campus.Students plays politics and the place became hell.

Education is not a preparation of life ...it is life itself ...and the Education in DIS is wonderful and the Faculties are best in town.

Here, faculties demotivates the student upto such an extent that he become depressed or boycotts from everyone (with their family too).

Doon International School has got good reputation in education around in Dehradun. There staff are highly qualified. have lot of curriculum activities round the clock. But there are drawbacks, loopholes also in this system. Like in junior wing some teachers are giving opportunities to only particular student every year. example like in debates, recitations and other co-cellular activities, inter-school competition, students who are taking parts from 1st class are the only students who are chosen upto class 5th. Is there are no students who had progress upto senior class. Others students should be given chance to participate in these activities. This is a subject of debate. Other example like teachers tell students to write an essay on a particular subject. Now teacher choose best essay from all the students, edit it and give it to a pre chosen student to speak in the morning assembly, or inter-school competition. Now, thats not fair. A students who had written best essay should be given chance to speak not a student whom a teacher like most, or had got experience, exposure to speak previously. If teacher does not give chances to other students how he will progress ? How his moral get boosted ? other students are neglected one sided. Director of the school should take steps to encourage other students also. This create a negative image to other students who had done hard work in activities and their moral get down drastically. Teachers are not taking pain in encouraging other students. They just want their particular houses to come first. While the moral should be to encourage all students, Overall development of all students. Encouraging particular students does not mean other left out students are fools, does not want to do hard work.
