Havent been there in a while, had a style show, very good night for everyone.

Gorgeous venue on the inside. Youd never know it from the outside. The only thing I wish were better was parking and entry. Theres only one access point to ger in and out and for a big event I felt like I had to leave early so i didnt seem stuck.

IT WAS GREAT AND THE FOOD WAS GRRAT

I was there for a wedding reception(Haynesworth), and, anyone who knows I dont have much to say about them other than oh, it was nice. But, must say, it was one of the most lavished events Ive been to thus far! Now, the building has been around for quite sometime, and housed some big names and great venues. But, despite its age, it showed no signs of depreciation whatsoever! The staff was on deck to not only make the guest comfortable, but to make Mr. and Mrs. Haynesworths day a memorable one, INDEED!!!

My friends wedding was beautiful, but the Valleydale Ballroom was way to hot went in my car just to be in air conditioning...

What a beautiful and historic facility. We held our mattres fundraiser there on Sunday. We really enjoyed meeting the new owners and wish them all the very best and success in the new year.

The owner lady was very rude from the moment we got in the door to the time we left.

Would have loved to be married here. It’s in a bad area but the inside is beautiful. My fiancé and i were basically forgotten about after we left (thought we weren’t welcome and was confused by it) and never received our form to look over pricing and continue with contract. So then our original date was given away. We were supposed to get a call to set something up again but never did. It’s beautiful but the owner might be overwhelmed so if you have anxiety and aren’t willing to be pushy you might be forgotten about.

What a great place to hear live music. The Rick Brunnetto Band sounds wonderful in this historic venue built for the big bands. Dancers wanted.

Had a great time. Nicely remodeled since last time I was there. Clean bathrooms! Staff was friendly and security present outside to make sure cars were safe.

From the very first day I met with the staff at Valley Dale Ballroom our planning process was smooth. I asked a thousand questions during the year of planning and they always got back to me with very quick response. The Grand Ballroom staff went above and beyond our expectations to make our wedding day absolutely perfect last month. I just got my wedding photographs and they look beautiful! It was a fairy tale wedding and we stayed within our budget.

I began coming here back in 1966! This Was The Place to Be back then to see and hear The Battle of the Bands! All the Great Local Tallent such as The Dantes, Sir Timothy and the Royals, The Rebounds, The Fifth Order and the Gears to name but a few. And on occasion they would bring in some Nationally know Groups such as Question Mark & the Mysterions with thier #1 Hit, 96 Tears! (one of the members went on to join Grand Funk Railroad) THIS was as close to the Big Time as any School Kid could ever hope to get! IT seemed Magical at the Time! Most of us couldnt even Drive a Car but what ever effort WE made to get there was well worth it! Columbus was richer for it as well! The Last time that I was scheduled to go was in 1989 to see Lesley Gore, but for reasons still unknown to me, She was a NO Show! OK, Ill say it, You would Cry too if it happened to You! 😪 And Now the Brunettos are doing a great job of keeping the Ball (room) Rolling so Hats off to Landa & company for that! Three Cheers for Valley Dale! 😇. 😷

Yes! The Valley Dale Ballroom made my brother and his wife dream come to reality! They had a vision of a Royal Wedding and got it at this beautiful venue on July 14, 2018. Sarah Briesbach, event consultant and Manager is , one of a kind! She made planning and execution, sheer joy. I would recommend this venue, especially with Sarah as Manager!

I could not have been more pleased, my reception at the The Grand Valley Dale Ballroom was remarkable, It was just wonderful. Dana helped us on every little detail, I relied on her expertise since I did not have a wedding coordinator, everything turned out perfect. All of my out of town guests felt very welcome and comfortable at the reception. It is a great historic place and all my guests keep commenting on how unique and beautiful our wedding reception was at Valley Dale.

This place has a nice ambiance once youre inside, its kinda hard to tell from the outside since the building sits right up the hill off of sunbury rd.Great venue for weddings, parties. Plenty of room both upstairs and downstairs.

A great location for your special events. Kalia parking outside and the staff are courteous and helpful. Not to mention the security on-site are top-notch.

We had our wedding at the Valley Dale in September this year... we begin our process with Sarha she was very nice paid our deposit in August 2018 texted Sarha about making a payment in March 2019 she advised me she was no longer with Made From Scratch as of Dec 2018 she gave a number to contact that’s when I was connected with Shelley ... it was horrible the money I spent, it was hot in the venue, they blew out candles etc they made it a very horrible experience

A funky retro kinda place. We were there for a wedding reception and it is great for that kind of event.

Our, and I mean more than a few musicians and music lovers, attended the Woodstock Revisited 50 years later last evening. I was great to see the building and upgrades. It brought back good memories. Kudos to the new owners. In saying that the new owners should stay in their own lane and be owners, overseeing things. Rick is NOT a soundman and it was glaringly obvious, each band had issues with sound, low vocal volumes and all of the front men and women COULDNT be heard. Sure great JBL mids and highs but no bass bins ? Absolutely no bottom end. It sounded muddy and less than clear. If your goal is to continue to do shows like this, purchase the rest of a professional sound system, bass bins and use/hire an audio engineer or sound man. Im sure this comes as no real surprise because Rick got to the point he hid rather than be chastised. Sad !!!!

What a historic facilty and a great place to hold a reception. The dance floor was huge and let our guests dance the night away. We had a great time and so did all our friends.. Thank you to the staff that made our night so special.

First off, the place is beautiful. It took me a long time to figure out that the chandeliers change color, and now I want them everywhere. Its remarkably easy to get to, lots of parking available, and everyone at the venue was super-helpful and very excited to show off the ballroom. Special shoutout to Shelley, and I apologize if I spelled your name wrong. You were of more help than you can imagine, and I am deeply grateful. Cant wait til my next show there. Well worth the drive from south-central Indiana.

I just got married here on Sunday, July 13th. It was absolutely beautiful here. Dana was amazing and very quick with responding to emails. She helped me in any way possible and answered all of the questions. Rehearsal was wonderful, the staff was very helpful with any questions i had during that time. The day of the wedding everything went very smooth. We had no issues at all. The ballroom was beautiful and i got so many compliments about how beautiful it was. After the event i tried to clean up my mess and the coordinator there sent me on my way and said he would take care of it not to worry about it! I left a few items there and the next day Dana allowed us to go back in and get what we left!! It was a wonderful day and i couldnt have imagined it any other way! thank you for making my day so wonderful!!

Excellent time at the Lucinda Williams concert. Large dance floor at the venue and very unique design with light up chandeliers.

I will never forget how beautiful my wife looked when she first appeared at the top of the ballroom staircase and cant describe how perfect a feeling it was, standing on the stage watching her descend and walk down the aisle...Thank you to the Grand Valley Dale Ballroom staff for making our wedding absolutely perfect. They did a great job creating an intimate atmosphere for our big wedding. The lighting and acoustics were perfect for my brother to play guitar during the ceremony. I also loved how organized and easy the transition from the ceremony to the reception was. We all retreated to the bar for drinks on the balcony while the ballroom was setup. We danced the night away to songs we added to the DJs playlist of artists who had actually performed on the same stage we had just got married on! I would highly recommend this historic location to anyone planning a wedding. Thanks again!

The Grand Valley Dale Ballroom is a monument to human greed, and stupidity. A wonderful woman had booked this venue for her wedding reception, when tragically, her fiance died suddenly 8 months before the wedding. Even though the event was 8 entire months away, and was to be in June, THE MOST POPULAR MONTH TO GET MARRIED, the Grand Valley Dale Ballroom has refused to refund their deposit, even though the venue would EASILY be re-booked.So, at best, this venue is run by a pack of poisonous, greedy snakes, and, and worst, these poisonous greedy snakes are so stupid as to not realize that their lack of compassion would drum up a storm of negative publicity that would far outweigh any loss they would incur by refusing to refund this nominal deposit.Do you really want to support these animals?

The Valley Dale Ballroom - The venue that saved our wedding!Long story short, we ended up changing venues from our original choice 45 days before our wedding. With a few options still available, we ended up choosing the Valley Dale.I met Sahra, the boss lady (she runs the place- with grace, might I add) and she was nothing short of amazing and accommodating. I was a little skeptical at first because the Valley Dale is significantly different than the barn style wedding we were planning for roughly a year, however Sahra said it best, sometimes plan B is better than plan A. She was 10000% right and I had no idea how right she was until the day of our wedding.We tried a different set up with where we got married (a circle ceremony) it was SO COOL!! The building already has a stage, an enormous dance floor and killer acoustics, we knew that this would be pretty fantastic since we had a band rather than a DJ- P.S. if youre looking for a band, looking further than Martini Affair is a waste of time. They were AWESOME and everyone (yeah, even Aunt Sally who doesnt dance) was up dancing, having the time of their lives!!Also, theres a very cool bridge, walking distance from the venue where we took our photos... they came out BEAUTIFUL!!With some hiccups in our wedding planning road, Sahra made it a smooth as possible. We got married at the end of September 2018 and are still continuing to get compliments on EVERYTHING! Sahra knows what shes talking about- for example: I was worried we wouldnt have enough bartenders, she assured me that based on the number of guests, that we would be fine, however if we wanted to add more, we could. It was so lovely to get her opinion, but she would accommodate any extra need if so desired. (P.S. we went with her recommendation and she was right again, glad we trusted her)It was a no brainer that we made the right choice, plan B was definitely better than plan A. If you are looking for a wedding venue with a professional staff, that doesnt look like all of the other wedding venues, for a wedding experience that doest feel like all other weddings, go visit. From the history of the building, to the color changing crystal chandeliers, to the massive stage and dance floor- guys, you wont be disappointed. I promise, you will love this place!

These people are heartless. My dear friend is the young woman whose fiance passed away suddenly. It sounds as if they were struggling before this happened and are just scrounging for every penny they can find. I would be very careful before booking with them for two reasons- 1) if they ignored a bride whose fiance passed away for two months will they do that to you if something similar were to happen and 2) will they even be around when your event is to happen? It sounds like they were difficult even with the contractual refunds. Open up the book to crook and you will find them.

I would never recommend this money hungry place to anyone for any event! After reading the news story of the poor woman who lost her soon to be husband unexpectedly, and were planning to have their wedding here in the spring of 2014. The Valley Dale is refusing to have a heart and give her a refund of the down payment so she can cover the cost of giving her fiance a funeral. This is a shame. This establishment should be ashamed. This is not the case of calling off the wedding or what have you. A person has died. She should not be put under anymore stress than she has already!

Completely rude owner/manager whoever it was the big fat lady. I would never recommend this place to anybody.

Nice looking ballroom in the middle of nowhere :-) Still, the size is right for the local ballroom dance competitions.
