If you like authentic Mexican carnitas it doesn’t get much better. Fresh ingredients, juicy pork and slightly crispy tortillas. The hot sauce has good heat and great flavor.

After seeing 4.8 star review I went to this shop for a burrito.I think the people who have given review does not know how an actual burrito should taste like.I did not like the food.I would suggest look for a local chipotle which serves better burrito.The salsa they have given as side was full of salt. I am not kidding , maybe full 1tsp of salt in it.I am really dissapointed

I love this place!! The owner is super understanding that I don’t eat pork and he made a special quesadilla with steak off the regular grill the meats are cooked on. He was super sweet! I love when people/business are willing to go the extra mile. Also the elotes were good as well.

I stumbled upon this small restaurant this evening knowing nothing about it, having not even seen its 4.8 rating. I could not have made a better decision. This is THE hole-in-the-wall taco joint you have been dreaming of. And there’s icecream! Delicious food made to order, reasonably priced, and the salsa is fantastic too. I can’t wait to come back.

Its a pretty nice place to come in and stop for a snack after a hike! We were over at Indian Run Falls and decided we needed some food pronto. We both got tacos and they did not disappoint, but perhaps were lacking a bit in flavor. The people are very personable theyve decked out the inside with eclectic colors.

I tried a few of the different tacos for lunch and they were delicious. The staff was also very friendly and helpful with their recommendations. I will definitely be going back to try other menu items and of course the ice cream.

From Hocking hills to Laguna! We ordered a few things to try first and ended up ordering more to eat there and more to take home to Michigan. EVERYTHING was so good! My husband really loved the sauce to the steak burritos and tacos.They were very nice too! Thank you so much!!! Highly recommended! Definitely a place to try if youre in or by Columbus, Ohio.

I finally stopped in here today after driving by a dozen times and boy do I regret not stopping earlier! I ordered a steak torta and a pork tamale and both were about the best Ive had in Ohio. For desert I ordered some lemon-lime ice cream and I may also have found my new favorite ice cream stop! It was light, refreshing, and flavorful. The staff were very friendly and helpful, as well. I will absolutely be back whenever Im in the area.

Amazing place tucked away from the chaos of Hard road. Had the al pastor, chicken and carnitas tacos and steak quesadilla, which were both great. Well priced and delicious, cant go wrong. Next time I go I’m definitely checking out the deserts.

5 stars for atmosphere, customer service and food.While browsing which Mexican restaurant makes the best ‘Al Pastor’ the internet guided me to ‘Los Gauchos.’ Los Gauchos has the technique done correctly, but lacks in flavor. In fact, there wasn’t any. I came across Laguna through a random search and it was a highlight of my trip.Being a Michelin level chef, you could say I know flavor and how a restaurant should operate. The restaurant is very clean inside, opposite to the appearance of the outside in a little dingy plaza. Bright green walls lighten the mood along with the friendly “hello’s” behind the counter from the owner/chef and his wife who cook, serve the food to your table, clean the restaurant, and just about everything else. They do it all here and definitely work for the money they earn.The tacos are packed full of flavor. Everything I had was done correctly, though there’s minor differences from being truly “authentic.” The carnitas could benefit from pickled onions, rather than caramelized. The Al Pastor was missing pineapple and would greatly benefit having some. With these two exceptions, there’s no denying that these tacos are the real deal. The salsa’s accompanying the tacos are great in taste as well and really add another element to the food. In my opinion, the salsa rojo as dubbed “red sauce” could benefit from having more heat.Skip Los Gauchos and come to Laguna. You won’t be disappointed at all. What America needs is less “Tex-Mex” restaurants that look like the Alamo decorated with big fancy signs that serve shredded lettuce and bland rice on a 14 inch plate. We need more places like Laguna showcasing what actual Mexican food is. If Columbus cannot get it right by supporting this local gem and keeping it alive, any city in the United States that knows food would be more than happy to have a place like this.

This is my favorite restaurant!!! My boyfriend and I go atleast once a week and the chorizo is so much better than Los Gauchos. If you’re looking for amazing homemade icecream, you’ve found it. And don’t even get me started on the tamales!!!! 😵

Food was good. Tacos were average quality. My order came to $17 for 3 tacos and a raspado. Apparently, all toppings on tacos cost extra per topping. Unless you like plain tacos I do not recommend getting your tacos here.

Food is amazing and the customer service can not be beat! I first went to Laguna with coworkers. I fell in love! The next day I brought my boyfriend and his son. They love the pastor meat! Their burritos are amazing and the ice cream can rival any bigger chain in the city. Always a great experience!

This place is wonderful. The owners are a married couple with an adorable little kid. They are exceptionally warm and kind. They are the kind of people that make you feel good that they are making your food. And that’s the best part! The food is fantastic. It is very much in the style of Chipotle, but it is more affordable and higher quality. My family (my wife and I and our two kids) have regularly gotten dinner for $20. The pastor pork is my recommendation. And I know this is a strange thing to write up in a google review, but the rice is exceptional. Rice is so easy to make it is rarely remarkable, but when prepared well the difference is noticeable. They make great rice!Oh, and they have incredible ice cream! They have shaved ice too, but I haven’t tried it yet.Laguna is a simple family place with delicious food at a great price.

Stopped by for a quick bite. Can’t be more happier with my decision!! I ordered a vegetarian bowl and it was the bomb! So delicious and so satisfying. Their red sauce is my favorite of all times, if you like hot salsa, you should try this one!! The treatment they give to each customer is just the cherry on top of the cake. Great place to visit.

This place is fantastic. Surprisingly large selection for such a tiny restaurant, but everything Ive had is great. Im a huge fan of their street tacos, which you can customize in case youre not a fan of onions/cilantro/the usual taco toppings. You really cant beat the quality for the price. Great cheap eats!

Its a really wonderful place. One of the people working there held the door to welcome me and my handicapped girlfriend into the restaurant. He even offered to take our order for us. Just a really friendly atmosphere, and thats without talking about the food. The food is really delicious, and doesnt come in large portions. Everything tastes really authentic. This place can easily go unnoticed but its worth checking out if youre looking for good tacos.

Awesome authentic choices for Mexican street food. Good value for what you get. The employees are really friendly and take care preparing your food to make it look nice and taste good. I really liked the freshly made churro ice cream, and the crazy cucumbers were such an explosion of flavors! Youve got to try some of the items on this inventive menu!!!

I love this place. Always so friendly and their ice cream is delicious (I like the Scorch Milk). Havent tried the food yet, but it looks really good.

Everything was fresh and flavorful. The fish was crispy and the sauce had just the right amount of spice. The pastor meat was moist and full of flavor. The value for the price is amazing. I can’t wait to go back.

I am so lucky they opened up across the street from. Their food is so fresh and delicious. I find myself going there at least once a week and each time try something new. But now I am totally hooked on the burrito bowls. This little gem is a must try. Staff is great and the place is always clean. Also the gelato us oh so good.

Their homemade ice cream was amazing and they have fun, different flavors in addition to your traditional ones. The staff was so nice and friendly. I have gone to this place multiple times. The owner lied once saying he wasn’t the owner when I asked if they were running specials. They are skimpy on the meat and charge for anything additional on your tacos. I no longer come here because Los Gauchos on sawmill which is literally 2 mins from Laguna is so much Nicer. Also, their tacos have a ton of meat and they give you onions and other extra at no charge. They are even cheaper and taste better.

My wife and I are so lucky to live right across the street from this place. The food is absolutely outstanding. My favorites are the fish tacos, the steak torta, and al pastor tacos. The staff is fantastic as well. If you havent tried this place yet, youre missing out!

My BFF and I really enjoyed the ice cream here! The service was exceptionally kind and willing to help us, as we have never been here before. The ice cream was a perfect texture, and for as slow of an eater as I am, it didn’t even melt that much! The churro ice cream was a unique flavor and very well made. My friend got the peppermint ice cream which he claims was the best he’s ever had! I would highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a high quality place to eat, both food and service-wise!

Great tacos with traditional flavors. I visit as often as I can, reminds me of the street vendors when I visited the Yucatan. The staff is fast and friendly and they have really good ice cream as well. Do yourself a favor and give it a try.

Fabulous ice cream! Great service. We went here in search of churros on a Friday night, but discovered they have churro ice cream, so opted for that and was not disappointed. They have taco, burritos, etc. too, but we had already had dinner, so did not try any of that. Will return to check out those options at some point.

I had a few tacos from here the other day and they were pretty good compared to local taco trucks and Mexican restaurants. I did like that they used grilled onions instead of raw ones, but raw never bothered me. I just really wish they stayed open later. I will definitely go back for the sweet treats and to try my favorite which is quesadillas.

Ah-mazing tacos, burritos, raspados and ice cream. Try the street corn smothered in lime, mayo and cheese, cactus and fish tacos, tamales, and tamarind shaved ice. Found this little gem on a road trip up to NY from St. Louis and made a point to stop back on our way home. Yum!

Not gonna lie, thoroughly disappointed. After the great reviews my wife and I wanted to try. We got 5 different tacos, elotes, and churros. Ill review each.The best tacos were the carnitas and the el pastor. The steak, chicken, and (I forget the other) were meh. Nothing special, not super flavorful. Very forgetful tacos. The only high point were the sauces, which helped make the tacos taste better.The elotes were awful. God awful. They were soggy and soft without any crunch. The mayo cheese and toppings were very mild. The whole thing tasted bland. My wife couldnt even finish hers. Im not sure if they were sitting out all day or what, but obviously the corn was NOT fresh.Nothing special about the churros. Tasted like they were probably frozen and just dropped in a fryer. Cant taste bad with sugar on fried dough but they were nothing to go back for.Overall I havent been this disappointed by a meal in a very long time. Not sure if Ill give it a shot again, maybe they just had a bad day.

Fantastic food, delicious ice cream, and friendly service. I ordered the Chicharron appetizer (amazing), burrito bowl (pretty good), two kids quesadilla meals (kids loved them) and my wife had the pepinos locos (delicious). The wife and kids had strawberry and coconut ice cream for desert and it was fantastic. We will most certainly be back.
