My absolute favorite Indian restaurant, by far! Ive tried so many different places around the U.S. and havent found anywhere that rivals Apna Kitchen. My favorite dish is the Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan.You will love Apna!

The food here is awesome, with nice sized portions. However, they should not be open for lunch with no buffet. It is expensive and slow and the waiter is pretty short and rude. I watched him repair four light bulbs after I took my seat, all before he waited on me. Then he served me room temperature water.

Food is Good but staffs really need training on treating customers well. Staffs to be kept motivated and behavioral training needed.

Just loved this place (not for the food but the restaurant itself). The ambience inside reminds me of restaurants back in Mumbai-India (aroma of food and enclosed air-conditioned restaurants). Food was also good. It was a bit too oily but was delicious. The garlic naan also tasted great.

Excellent food! I like saag, paneer, and curry dishes. The naan is great! I live an hour away but I get take out from here every time I am in town. A 7 is very hot on a scale 1 to 10. I usually order everything at a spicy 6. The dining area is beautiful. I will visit again.

Good service, and very tasty meal. I had lamb Rogan Josh and garlic Naan this time and lamb curry before. The portions are great I had left overs for later. The price is also good for the amount of food you get. I highly recommend this place.

I loved their food, but recently ordered online from the Menufy app for carryout and paid via bank card when ordered. They will not let you complete the order without putting payment info in. As soon as I placed the order, they called me and said they could not take payment over that ordering app and that I would have to pay when I came in. No problem, did that, paid cash. My card still got charged and the charged never fell off. I contacted my bank to dispute it and when my bank reached out to them about the double charge, Apna Kitchen said there is nothing they can do about it and will not refund the money!! My bank credited my account for the extra charge, but it seems they have some shady business practices if theyre going to continue to charge people twice and refuse to refund. That will be the last time I eat here!

Absolutely love the food here! Depending on how many people your feeding it can become pricey. But Im addicted to Indian food now because of apna kitchen! I used to be a huge Mexican and Italian cuisine kinda gal, but Indian food has become my #1!

Ordered 6 pieces of naan, two were hidden underneath and burned. Asked for exchange one which is worst and couldn’t be eaten. The waiter said “yes” but didn’t even bring it back and said the kitchen thought it was not burned.

If you like Indian food its all you but it smells something fierce when I have to go there for a door dash and they never have the order even placed or preparing but thats ok as long as I get my 💲💲Im happy

This place has such a great variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian (we had the buffet). The food is top notch. I could literally eat it every day. Filled with spices and options I have never tried before. The service was also great. They stopped by several times and filled our water and offered nan-bread. Will certainly be back.

Extremely rude host. We walked in he was standing behind the counter and in a real rude manner asked how many then just pointed to the tables. Finally came over and anything we asked for he would say no. While we were waiting for our food, other customers came in and he had the audacity to say to them sit somewhere, when I have time I will make it over there. I had to go find water to fill our glasses. Not once during the whole night did he walk past our table or ask if we needed anything. When he put our food on the table he put it down so hard the food spilt on the table. When I went to pay for my food he literally flung my receipt at me. Lol if you want to experience comedy of rudeness, go for a dine in.

Im new to indian food so going on Sundays when they had the buffet was a great way for me to discover what was good for me. The wait staff was very gracious, although I speak Spanish and he seemed uneasy with English. That aside, the price is equal to other idian places Ive visited. Food was very good as well.

Had their Sunday buffet. It was delicious! A wide variety of dishes including vegetarian, vegan, and meat styles. The staff was very attentive. Would like to try their menu items as well.Its down the side of the building, so we went into the store first and they directed us around to the restaurant.

Huge menu that can be overwhelming if youre not versed in Indian cuisine, but Ive always loved my meals. The restaurant is off the main road in the alley between two buildings, so its not easy to stumble upon. Their lunch/dinner buffet has the essentials of Indian meals and their prices are reasonable. Good sit-down-restaurant atmosphere. At the time of this post, Im pretty sure theyre the only Indian restaurant in town, so they service the local Indian customers instead of tailoring the menu for the American palette, so you get a good taste of something more authentic.

Good eatery catering to variety of Indian menu. The staff there is very friendly and welcoming. Ambience is also very nice.

We have eaten here twice. The first time our experience was ok . Food tasted good but the service was poor. The second time I saw a waiter clearing a table next to ours, pour water from the guests used glasses into the pitcher he was using to refill everyones glasses. The pitcher was placed next to other pitchers from where the wait staff were using them instead of being brought back to the kitchen to be washed. I will never eat here again!!

Ordered ahead and told 40 minutes. Restaurant empty. Took a further 25 minutes for food. Which was awful. Chicken was so hard it couldnt be chewed. Sauce looked fatty and separating into different liquids. Pakora was burnt like it was reheated. Will not return. Honest review not meant to demean or pass judgement.

Good ambience and very clean.But, they take a lot of time to serve the food and there is a chance that your dish might have something missing. Like we have order veg. Platter and there was samosa missing in it.But overall, we enjoyed the food and the waiters are friendly.

Went here today for the buffet. There were a lot of choices and it was really good. We couldnt find the entrance at first and went into the grocery initially (it has the restaurant info on its storefront, too). We almost gave up but then went around the corner and found the restaurant.

Wonderfully authentic Indian Cuisine - I havent had food like this in years! It tastes as good as the food my friends mom would make at home. Would recommend to anyone looking for an authentic Indian restaurant. Most definitely a hidden gem in Columbus, IN! I especially enjoy the dinner buffet on Sunday evenings.

Very average food. I dont think Ill go here again. The food quality needs to be improved tremendously. One of the reasons could be that this is the only Indian buffet restaurant in Columbus and hence they dont have a reason to compete with any other place.

1st time visiting, coming from Indianapolis as frd suggests. 3+ Star for Food, 4 Star for Service. Its very rare to see an Indian restaurant maintaing good service, please continue same.

We went to this restaurant on a saturday evening around 9:20 pm and the restaurant had posted they are open till 10 pm on weekends. The waiting staff pressured us to order constantly even before we could take our seats. If you are in such a hurry to close, why let the people enter in the first place. If you think that was rude, please wait till the waiter literally just threw plates in our faces. Absolutely horrible service. I havent had such bad service even in India. They have absolutely zero customer service training and they served us already prepared food. I would never return to this place ever again, even if Im starving to death. Absolutely horrible folks!

This one of the best, if not the best, restaurant in Columbus. Excellent service, excellent food, good dining environment, and reasonably priced. Look for this place as it is not on a main road. The manager has given us complimentary appetizers multiple times. He is very personable and remembers his customers.

Staff and environment is good, facility is clean enough. But the food is not quite close to actual Indian delicacy. If you are in Columbus, IN and want to try Indian spices, you will come here only because there is no other option in the town. But if you want your Indian food experience to be closer to the real Indian food, you might want to drive a few miles looking for other options.

Amazing Food and large variety to choose from in the lunch buffet.A must visit during the weekend! Usually a bit crowded around lunch but really worth every penny you spend. Delicious Indian food with affordable pricing around the region between Cincinnati, Louisville and Indianapolis.The only drawback: Service, for some reason there is unpleasant service every time I go in. I am generous tipper even if the waiter is a little rude to me. The management should look at improving the service, in a competition oriented world, good service will add extra points to any business.

Way too spicy. I don’t usually have that much of a problem with spice but this was impossible to enjoy in my opinion. And they don’t serve ice with your water which is obviously a problem when my mouth is on fire.

Worst Indian food I have had in the US. The quality of food and service has significantly gone down in last one year. I would prefer driving to Greenwood, Indy or Cincinnati than having food here. I do not expect any improvements since the owners looked very ignorant about food quality after I had a conversation. Do not recommend at all.

Service is always prompt. However this time the food was old. The Tandoori chicken was great but everything else was not. The flavors were lacking. Next time Ill drive the hour to Indianapolis for Indian food in Broadripple or the west side.

Hidden gem nestled behind a strip mall. You would never know it were there if a local didnt insist you drive between two other buildings to get to it. Friendly service, wide selection of items on the buffet. The price is very reasonable for the selection and the quality. Nevermind that they dont serve soda, you will love the tea.

Extremely rude costumer service, this is the last time I buy from this place. The people who answer the phone provide unclear instruction and believe can shout at you whenever they want. Plus, they do not wear MASKS during COVID-19. Very rude, uncaring and unprofessional.

This is the only Indian restaurant in Columbus IN area. They try to have an extensive menu. However, there is no point in having too many options if they are not good. The buffet was not good. Options in a la carte are hit and miss. The taste and quality of food have to be priority rather than the options. Overall, there is a wide scope for improvement either self driven or driven by availability of number of competing Indian places.(Note: Only plus side is servers are helpful)

Decent Indian food! Believe me, butter chicken curry is the best for most non-indian people. The server will frequently check whether you are doing well, but maybe a little bit too often... we asked for more crispy biscuits, but they never came.

Not a fan of lunch buffets here. Its ok sometimes if you go early. Dinner is dine in, its much better than the buffet.

Incredibly rude staff, mediocre, lukewarm food (Although flavor was ok), saw 2 cockroaches while there (one crawled down the wall to our table while eating & when brought to the head staff’s attention they offered no apologies or excuses-literally said nothing), LOADED fly paper ribbon hanging from ceiling just inside kitchen door that is usually not visible to the public. Won’t be back.
