Nice place, it has parking. The price are good for the quality of the product. Staff is friendly and helpful in making choice. So coffee is good, but can improve. Compared to other places close by this is top of my rank.

I visited this outlet to have a cup of cappuccino.I am pleased with the volume of the cappuccino but nothing special to brag about the coffee.I was not very impressed with the interior and the ambiance of the outlet compared to the rest of the Java Lounge outlet.There is a lot of room to improveOverall experience is ok but the Colombo 7 Branch is the best.

AmbienceSet in heart of Colombo 07, amidst Barnes Place’s ‘cafe hub’, is Java Lounge - a large yet incredibly cozy cafe. There are two floors comprising of comfortable couches and chairs and the ambience is extremely tranquil all around. The staff were both very friendly and helpful. They were clearly prepping for the season as the interior was most beautifully decorated to fit the season, and there was a lovely Christmas tree put up as well.Christmas BeveragesThe new Christmas menu that Java has introduced was simply delightful. Not only were the dishes presented beautifully but they also tasted absolutely incredible. Toffee Nut Latte, Iced Toffee Nut Latte and the Toffee Nut Frappe were the Christmas beverages on the menu.  I tried all three but the Toffee Nut Frappe stood out from the rest as it was really creamy and although the toffee nut flavour was definite and overpowered the taste of coffee, in all honesty, tasted amazing and I would certainly recommend this to anyone who goes there.The Specialty DishesWe were first given the Seafood Paella, which is a Spanish rice with shellfish and rosemary seasoning. The presentation of this dish was really nice but i felt that the texture of the dish surpassed the flavours. There was certainly an abundance of seafood and vegetables which tasted nice and they had pieces of lime within the rice which left a pleasant tang once you finished. However i felt that they could have improved a bit more in terms of flavour.This was followed by the Chicken Roulade. This dish is an absolute must have if you happen to  go to Java. It was truly heaven in a dish. It consisted of Honey glazed, rosemary infused chicken roulade, which was honestly flawless. There was the distinct flavour of rosemary and the chicken itself simply melted in my mouth. The cauliflower puree, steamed vegetables and the cranberry sauce which was set to complement proved to be a match made in culinary heaven! The variety of flavours made the perfect combination, which resulted in a mouthwatering dish. This dish is certainly worth the price and even the portion is enough for two people with a mediocre appetite.They clearly saved the best for last. The Beef Steak which took quite some time to prepare, was truly heaven in a dish! It was totally worth the wait. As good as the other dishes were i would certainly recommend this above all else. The beef steak which was covered in an Asian Black Pepper sauce was an absolute mouthwatering delight! The steak itself was unbelievably juicy, tender and each portion of that succulent steak tasted like Christmas in my mouth! There was also baked potatoes which tasted equally good and complemented the steak perfectly. A Sicilian Caponata which comprised mainly of eggplant and onion was also tastefully set to complement which gave the dish quite a lovely twist as well.All in all i feel that its a lovely menu and i would certainly go again were i given the chance. I highly recommend the Toffee Nut Frappe and the Beef Steak for anyone that decides to drop in at Java. This Menu is available at both their outlets in Jawatta and Barnes place in Colombo 07.

So this is like the best coffee shop in Colombo. I always stay in Bambalapitiya so its easy to get there. A perfect place to meet up with friends and enjoy a sip of coffee with a snack. Sometimes i just go there alone and sit while having a coffee and treat myself after busy day of shopping. Love the ambiance and interior. Also there is outdoor seating area where we can smoke. Mostly a young crowd hangs out there so it’s kind of cheerful and can meet new amazing people. I would recommend this place if you are staying in bambalapitiya and wanna have a good coffee or a night snack.

Ordered an English breakfast with milk. Doubtful whether it was actually milk or creamer as the taste was so stale. Not sure whether it was English breakfast as well as there was no aroma or taste of it.Service - very abrupt. With all customers wearing masks and sometimes face shields, its difficult to hear whats been spoken. The guy at the cashier was so annoyed to repeat I guess he was having a bad day the whole week 😆

Great place for some good coffee and chat. Parking is terrible. It says there is a parking but the police says there is no. It’s a total mess and needs to be addressed promptly.Otherwise all good.

Nice and clean place with free Wi-Fi if you want to get some work done. Generally very quiet. I usually go for the caramel machiatto with whipping cream on top. I also love their blueberry topped cheesecake.

The ambience is okay for a coffee shop but not very cozzy as seatings are a bit cramped up. Bought Cappuccino regular one and a vanilla flavored one. The quantity was filling and served in a mug. Regular one is quite good as in vanilla one tasted just coffee nothing special. NO tray was given to keep Sugar sachets and mixing spatula and just had to keep on the table.

Due to the recent Corona virus issue, the Java Lounge in Galle road, opposite Lorenz road, is only open until 8:00 pm now. It was 7:30 when we visited, however the sole barista took our order after notifying that they are closing at 8:00. We had a blueberry cheesecake, a caramel latte and a hot chocolate. There were no one else. There are notifications as to how the conduct should be, after COVID 19. Hand sanitizers were available. The cheesecake and the coffees were good. There was music, however the place felt deserted with just us as customers.

Staff is courteous, location is decent, parking is good on weekends (havent been on weekdays). There is however the big issue of Internet speeds. Its highly restricted so dont go if you plan on doing any work that requires a decent Internet connection. I found myself severely embarrassed as a result and turned my hot-spot on to demonstrate my Web application to my clients.The coffee is good and the food is of reasonable flavour. Nothing to write home about but passable.

A small place which is very decent and well layed out. The prices are bit on the higher side. The beverages were okay but nothing special to brag about. The service is very good, the staffs were helpful, and friendly. The place is situated in a building which has limited amount of parking space aside of Galle road. I wouldnt recommend visiting this restaurant with a large number of people as seating will be a problem. But overall a nice place to spend your time with tasty food and beverages.

My constant stop for on the go coffee and study stops. I study here cause the environment is perfect. Small space for about 15-20 people and they have a couple of plug points for your laptops or so. Love the coffee always, the servers are friendly.

So, I came here with my wife, expecting good food because of the reviews. Did not get what I was expecting. Had the tuna sandwich, which turned out to be a can of mashed tuna pretty crudely placed into a bun with a slice of craft singles cheese. It didnt taste horrible, it was a two star meal.My wife had the waffles, which came out with a pile of whipped cream on it (the stuff out of a pressurised can) and a cut up strawberry. The waffle was, Im pretty sure out of a packet. Again, not horrible, but a two star performance.Would have added another star for wifi, but it was pretty slow.Not likely to return.

Java Lounge Bambalapitiya is a relatively small coffee shop. Good for takeaways or to grab a quick bite on your war. Coffee is alright, so is food. A little bit on the pricey side.

I really need to mention this. I ordered a red velvet cake from here for a special birthday and everybody who came for the party just fell in love with it(cake was medium-sized hence the quantity was not as expected). The cost is a little bit high for the size of the cake.

One of my Favorite coffee Shop and Hangout place in Colombo! The place is quite superb and almost crowded with Guests! The foods and coffees bit expensive but absolutely great .Theyve to focus on extending their customer car park Facility in near future.

I ordered a Moroccan mint tea priced at Rs.420 expecting a tea prepared with high quality dried green tea leaves, natural mint and herbs, which are signature ingredients of a Moroccan Mint Tea. To my surprise and disappointment I was served with a Dilmah tea sachet in a mug of hot water.This is a total contradiction to the concept of a coffee house/lounge and an insult to the country named as the paradise of tea. I presume rest of the flavored tea in the menu are also served in similar manner.In the super market, a 20 tea bag pack of Dilmah Morrocan mint tea costs only Rs.200, thus the price of one teabag is Rs.10 (maybe a bit more, if it was from an exclusive collection). So, I was charged Rs.420 for a 10 rupee tea bag in a mug of hot water. Therefore I, the customer, have been charged unfairly which should draw the attention of the Consumer Protection Authority also.Claimed to be one of the oldest coffee houses in Sri Lanka, which emphasizes in high-quality beverages, Java Lounge needs to do much more to serve all beverages in same quality and standard.DO JUSTICE TO TEA AS YOU DO TO COFFEE !!!(If not... pls remove tea menus)To be fair, I should mention that the coffee was in good quality and inside setting was in good condition.I hope the coffee house will take necessary corrective measures to ensure that customers are charged fairly and all beverages are served in equal standard and quality.

Place got a bit bigger since they occupied some of the space from kapruka so its definitely spacious now. Also the staff were as always very friendly and know their way around the coffee as well.

Yummy cheesecake but muffins were a bit dry. And maybe they should get their own place and a cleaner WC!!!!
