Worst experience ever....My mother had a nerve problem in eye they told to get a check up by 3 o clock afternoon and their doctors are dedicated and do work after six evening and complete the patients analysis.... But by 5 45 evening doctor told to come by next day next day was Sunday.. we asked whether there will be check up on Sunday they told yes and for this we travelled coimbatore again from erode next day and told no check up by officials is it child play irresponsible behaviour.... Is the hospital gonna give our time and costs of travel back

A very old traditional hospital with good facilities. With payment and totally free are their two types of service. But the service is similar to both the types, as there is no partiality shown. Well experienced doctors team ll take care all your eye related problems. Less expensive. Mondays and the day after a holiday is mostly crowded with people, hence avoid both the days if not an emergency issue. There is a parking facility for both two wheeler and four wheeler. Access with public transport is also possible and easy.Conclusion: Highly recommended.

One of the best eye expert hospital. They dont charge too much fees compared to other eye Hospitals. The doctors are well experienced and trained . Still the system used inside is paper documents system and not digitised. There is a Anandhas hotel canteen inside . The consultation fee is also 100rs . Parking is available for both 4wheeler and two wheeler. The only disadvantage is that too much crowd during Saturdays and Monday and it will take more than 2 hours to consult the doctor.

I am referring to the constant discrediting, use of abusive language and intimidation that I have been experiencing from [Mr.Vijay] especially on 11.05.2021 today. More over Mr.Vijay doesnt display or wear any id card provided from hospital mgt. Very worst behavior by your staff.Note: This issue had happened to Doctors family like us..

My father in law Mr. O K Saseendran who travelled from Kerala was treated very well. I believe they are a bunch of best ophthalmologists in India. Keep up the good work. Aravind hospital was best, but not now.I have been a patient for 22 years. I am from Kerala, At first I went to Madhura, then after 8 years transferred to Coimbatore for our convenience.Later, after 17 years I moved to Bangalore, so I asked them for my medical reports. But they didn’t give that.I paid for the medical report, then only get a single page document saying I have short sight, that’s obviously I know. I don’t need a medical report saying that if I want to go to other hospital.So I continue going there considering all the years.But the next time when I went there, my documents were missing. The documents of my entire 21 years visit. I waited for hours there, reached there morning and left the hospital at evening, but they couldn’t find it.The doctors do all the check ups from start, but there were no records to compare the progress. They were not so sure about the contact lens to give so they asked me to continue with the previous lens.After diagnosis doctor told me that my retina nerves started to detach so I need to do a laser surgery to patch that, and if it is not treated immediately the detachment will be more and I will go blind. I was not so sure about to do the surgery that day, so I told the doctor that I will go for the surgery after they found my medical record. The doctor was ok with that and I booked an appointment with the front desk. They told me they’ll call me after finding my records.Also I paid to get the medical report once again.But after that I never receive any call and didn’t get the medical report that I paid for.I went to another two hospital in Kerala and both doctors told me that, my retina nerves are fine and there is no need of surgery.Now I am in USA and the doctors here asked me for my medical records and I have nothing to show. They asked me what kind of hospital is that not to share the medical records even if I was transferring. One of the best eye hospital chain in India. I have consulted Peelmedu, Coimbatore branch. My experience is very great starting from registration to eye checkup. Everything is systematic and staffs are very polite & helpful. The do comprehensive and thorough checking before prescribing any medicine and surgery. The doctors and highly experienced and explain the problem clearly. I would like to recommend this hospital for all eye related problems. The hospital is not commercial oriented and charges are very economical.

Not a good patient experience. Few points,1) No centralized patient record between branches. I am from Salem, I have consulted both the Salem and Coimbatore branch. When I visited the Coimbatore branch the hospital management I was told I have to enroll as new Patient since there is no link between Salem and Coimbatore branch. To me this is the problem. I dont know why same management is opening up branches without consolidating patient records across the branches.2. I have visited the Salem branch first and I have diagnosed that I have pressure in my eyes and have to do small surgery. They even gave the consultation on the procedure and how long it will take. But I want to take second opinion, so, I visited Lotus eye hospital in Salem where I got different opinion and different diagnosis.3. Now, I am confused on what is causing my eye problem So, I went to Aravind eye hospital in Coimbatore branch. Now, the doctors from Coimbatore branch gave different diagnosis (no it is not same as the one given by Salem branch).4. So, I have 3 different diagnosis from three different doctors. Two doctor from Aravind (Salem and Coimbatore) and One from Lotus.5. So, to clarify further, I thought of sharing the report which I got from Lotus with the Doctor in Coimbatore branch, but the Doctor outright rejected that he wont look into to it. I am surprised how a doctor can act like this. Doctors should be willing to listen to the Patient and look into past records/diagnosis. Unfortunately, I didnt see this happening in Aravind.6. Why Doctors dont want to look into the report from other hospital? Wont they work for different hospital in future? Wont they meet other doctors during the medical association or meeting? With out looking those reports how the Doctor can understand the patient history.7. Also, It seems the doctor who concluded my test is very young and he seems to be in hurry to leave for the day. Overall, I felt he said something for namesake and asked us to leave for the day. Also, the diagnosis contradicted with earlier findings which he is not ready to look into. So, I left with lot of doubts/confusion my mind.As a next step, I have to visit yet another eye hospital to be sure on what is causing my eye problem.@Aravind Management, Please note, people believe/trust more in Doctors than the God. I hope management takes care of above issues.

I was waiting from morning 6o clock in counter no.30 for appointment but the patient came after me just gives the file and goes inside.I asked about this with consultant nurse shes simply replying your file is missing. I dont know what is happening.Aravind is one of the top hospital but it misses basic systems like token allotment. Management have to look into it.You have to value the customer and staff behaviour here is worse.

I am here in the Aravind eye hospital now to check the eye point level for my brother Vinith Kumar at 4.45pm nov.15.2018. The new reservation counter no.4 has two entry section and one person is working the other person is not available and the people were standing in queue and the staff behavior was bad.The staff mentioned that dont form crowd here sit in the chair we will call u..So hospital is always a good place were we find kind people but here it is ridiculous.I hope this review may make any changes ...

Patients are well treated over here and given good respect. Clean and tidy. Time saving with proper care and schedule. Also diagnoses disease affected to the eye easily. Good satisfying treatment and also affordable

They take good care and provide best treatment for the patients. They have very huge car parking area and easily accessible through public transport since it is located in the entrance of Coimbatore city itself.

Good service. Treatments are cheaper than similar private hospitals but crowded always. Waiting period is also too much. Even one comes at 7 in the morning, he will be able to leave in the afternoon only. Looks like the management has not invested much towards IT infrastructure which is highly recommended to handle such a crowd.

I cant understand the reasons of my problems. Nobody explained me. Come here and pay here get your spectacle tomorrow. These are the words to me. Why such problem occurred and what are the ways of treatmentAfter returning from the hospital I am having only bills. No other proof of my treatment, testing results, history of treatment, suggestions for improvement or treatment. Even waiting for 3 hrs the Dr says mm,mm, ya, ,ok . Even after my request, the attendant only telling us,the,next moving room . At our request they are refusing to give the details to the patient and telling us the details are secret ie the reasons not given to patient. If we want to discuss with other doctors, again we have to start the testing procedures from the beginning. Even after waiting 5 hrs for testing I dont know even my power of my vision.

Old set up. nothing is organized or the people here have not seen how things are done in an organized way... Too much of waiting.. Only walk ins.... There is no appointments. Just wait for your turn.. Consultation is pretty fast but treatments and their procedures are having no plans and just waiting for the turn.looks like they are money minded, as they give priority to bigger and expensive procedures, ignoring small procedures. Informing the patient BIG NO as their interest, in a different political way.There are lot of new hospital in Coimbatore probably I would start exploring them with the Google reviews they already had so far.

They have better managed the crowds and the doctors/nurses seem to have become more responsive, polite. Most of the problems I previously used to face have now been resolved. No doubt they have some reasonably good doctors (not all of them), but the administrative staff, nurses and other support staff is a very very big let down. Arrogance and insensitivity of the first order. They will never let you get your treatment in peace. Extremely poor service and absolutely no responsibility whatsoever.Avoid this hospital at all cost unless you have too less money and too much time at your disposal.

Traditional with affordable price but service is to be improved. From 2001 onwards I am doing eye check up regularly but seeing some lethargic approach in staff members. This can be avoided. My suggestion is reminder may be sent to concern person for next check up. This will be helpful.

Exceptional and honest service. Went in for eye consultation and the procedure was done in a jiffy. Post the normal vision checkup, was referred to an eye exercise checkup which was detailed and thorough. After which, had a complimentary doctor consultation - the doctor was able to give customized instructions on the step forward. Have been to other Opticals which were money-minded in selling their frames, but Aravind Eye @ Peelamedu is class apart. Appreciate their honesty, and quick organized service. Perfect 5 stars!

Actually I have gone there atleast three times. All time I was so happy. because their services are very fast and good. so we dont worry about time loss. They are so good in treatment and caring. All time there will be full of patients. However they manage them very effectively. So nice. And also they provide low cost treatment for selected poor people. That should be appreciated.

The 4 stars is only for the most important factor, the patient care. My parents & uncle were very satisfied with the investigation & prompt service provided by the staffers & the doctors. The other services like the toilets need better service. Gents toilets are poorly maintained(dirty, broken flush etc). Theres play area for children, coffee counters and also optical shops inside. The parking facility for patients is in an adjacent land and is spacious.

The optical shop provide wide range of affordable to semi-luxury range of optical frames and lens.This place have good amount of open space with plants and trees, I like the basement/underground floor with the lotus pool. Hospital is well maintained and clean. Has an ATM just in front of hospital and literally has an IOB bank branch just inside hospital, make it easy to retrieve cash from our bank account. This place has cafeteria serving local food and snacks, of decent quality. Have paid parking for both 2 and 4 wheelers. Its good to visit here for eye check up on any days other than Sunday and other public holidays, as specialized and well experienced Doctors will be available in every department. Last but not least, this hospital allow eye donation enrollment and they provide certificate for the same.

Services are reasonably priced. But that is the only good thing about this hospital.The staff, including doctors have an unprofessional attitude, a typical visit takes around 5-7 hours only because of this.Patients are not well informed about the tests being done and are made to wait for hours. I gave 2 stars only because it is less expensive.Recommended only if you have a lot of time and is in short of money.Personally im totally dissatisfied.

It is run by a trust and hence rates are more than 50 lesser than other hospitals yet the quality (experienced doctors, equipments etc) is a notch above the so called costlier hospitals. I tried contacting peelamedu Aravind eye hospital cornea section to get my report. But the service was very poor and they didnt still give my reports. Its been a week and we are still struggling for the report. Its an emergency situation and I need it to submit to my HR as I need to undergo a surgery and get it done within a month. My HR has already approved my one month leave after my so many efforts and these people in reception are still getting my reports. Please treat the patients in a better way.

In general aravind is a good place for the eye related issues .but its reputation could be easily spoiled by the behavior of some staffs especially @ UVEA clinic inside it.there wont be any proper responses for our queries and there is no use of taking appointments .hope the management will check into this .
