The food here is incredible. Each time I come I ask myself why I dont come more often. The food just melts in my mouth. Each dish with its own flavor, fragrance and texture. Its absolutely magic.

It was fine. Super buttery—even naan and dishes that aren’t “creamy” were soaked in butter—and spices weren’t super sharp. I went here because my #1 and #2 choices were closed today and don’t deliver to my house, respectively. I might go again in a pinch but there are many better places. I need a salad ASAP. The green chutney was good and made the rest more enjoyable.

I cannot begin to say how incredible the food here is. We’ve ordered it a few times over the last couple years and our meal this week was no exception. Healthy feeling, pleasantly spiced and just the right touch of heat left in my mouth after eating. I rarely (and I mean rarely) review places but these people deserve your attention if you’re looking for nourishing food. Our delivery was fast and the food was still piping hot when it arrived. Can’t wait to be able to eat in the restaurant again under better circumstances. The owners are such pleasant people!

Flavorful and fresh with plenty of vegetarian options. All dishes can be spiced up or down depending your preference. The owner runs the entire place on his own from cooking to hosting and does an exceptional job. Definitely my new go-to for Indian food.

A friend (who has been a loyal customer for years) recommended this place to us, and she was dead right. Sweet people and excellent food. Last time I was there, they offered me a dessert to try (thank you!) and I will definitely get it again next time. Our favorites were the chicken dishes.

Ordered last night! We had vegetable samosas, garlic naan, chicken vindaloo and palak Alu Paneer. Everything was incredibly delicious. Going back formore naan and samosas to eat with leftovers tonight. Call to order, dont go through GrubHub 🙏. Lets support the small businesses!Adding to my original post. I cannot stress how much I love the food here. The owner is a very nice hardworking man. Just call- dont order through a service. Its so worth it.

I am not a huge fan of Indian food, but this little place was pretty good. Went on Friday night and there is one server. He waited on about 25 people total. Thus the service was not the best. He was very friendly and tried his best. He even provided a free appetizer. I ordered the coconut curry chicken which was decent. Rice was delicious and provide with each entree. I personally did not like the crackers and sauce provided. He an odd flavor. I sampled my friends entrees and they were all yummy. Probably wouldnt be my first choice, but would go back with friends. There is a little parking lot out front, but was packed when we left. BYOB.

Great little hidden gem. I have had some really good Indian food in other cities but have had trouble finding the best food in Chicago. It is here.It is small, understaffed, but they really make up for it with attention to you as a person. Get ready to enjoy a culinary feat!

Not sure why the ratings are so low here. The food was excellent, and the service was just fine. The owner/chef/waiter/busboy was very accommodating and we throughly enjoyed ourselves. He (thats right, just one guy!) did a lovely job making our experience a good one, and cooking us a delicious meal

Not all sauce! Most Indian food is all gravy and no substance-- Paprikas food packs each dish with actual food! My girlfriend and I always get the samosas, too--I cant describe what it is about them, but they just taste, I dont know, fresher (?) than most places. The ambiance isnt the greatest, but its a fine little gem for the Lincoln Square neighborhood. And, like the others say... the owners really quite friendly!

Excellent, tasty food, great decor inside, and a quiet atmosphere. Much less stressful than trying to find parking and then a restaurant up on Devon. Not a lot of tables, which is nice, and lends itself well to a date night. Great to have a place like this in the neighborhood!

This is our go-to delivery restaurant for Indian food. Weve tried several others in Chicago and this is the best by far. I love both the veggie and the meat samosas and weve been happy with all of the chicken dishes weve tried. Weve never had any problem with delivery times and the food always comes piping hot. The naan is the only thing that Ive been disappointed with as its inconsistent. Sometimes it seems as if its been fried and is really heavy/dense and other times its much better and lighter.

A horrible and very pricey experience at this restaurant prompted me to start cooking on my own, even though I had no idea how to cook Indian food at the time. They took too many shortcuts and catered too much to the American palate. Please just avoid this at all costs and try any of the handfuls of restaurants at Devon.

The owner greeted me warmly when I walked into the small but inviting restaurant. I have had limited experience with Indian cuisine, but the menu was quite clear about the dishes. This place is perfect for diving into a new dish! Everything we had, from the exquisitely spiced crab cakes to our dessert of Mango Lassi (like a smoothie out of heaven) was utterly fantastic. I cant wait to go back.Dont be dismayed if there arent many other diners, the restaurant gets a lot of business with carry-out and delivery. I came at an odd hour, though, so perhaps it gets more lively at normal times.I cant recommend this place enough! Great service, atmosphere, and food, for a great price.

This has a Michelin rating?? Asked that to my date as we sat down after reading the menu. We had recently cancel our reservation at another restaurant and decided to come here on a whim.Long story short, come here and eat. But at the same time dont cause its my best kept secret. Also there is like only one guy that works here. He does everything. So legit try it, but with only one guy working you can overload him and get slower service. The quality is always top notch.

Ordered for delivery; originally given 1 hour delivery time (which seemed long given our proximity to restaurant), yet it eventually showed up 2 HOURS later! (after several phone calls and no answer given for delay). Samosas were good; entrees were ok but overpriced, and garlic naan was my least favorite of many other restaurants I’ve tried. Will not be a returning customer.

I dont usually write reviews while still in the restaurant, but this was so delicious so I had to post. The naan was fantastic, glistening and fresh. The rice was perfect, and the dishes came out piping hot. We had vegetarian, so saag paneer and veggie korma. Was some tasty stuff. I cant say it was the cheapest but it was worth every penny!

Ordered online for pick up. Arrived at restaurant on time and they said to wait. Waited 30 min and they indicated that they never received the order. Then had to wait again for food. No offer of apologies or extras for the inconvenience. Was really hoping for a go to in the hood, but might as well order from Devon #disappointing

Visited Paprika on Friday evening (1/12/18). The atmosphere is simple, but clean and comfortable. The food was delicious. We ordered the Vegetable Samosas and Onion Bhaji for appetizers and they set the stage for the amazing entrees that were to follow. For meat eaters I highly recommend the Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Korma which were wonderfully flavored, rich and filling. The vegetarians in our group thoroughly enjoyed the Palak Alu Pannir. The vegans ordered and loved the Baigan Ki Shag and the Turka Dahl Ki Shabzi. We were served a lovely flat bread that complemented the dishes. We had ample food for our group of five, and took home enough for second meals. With only one person in the kitchen who also waited on the tables, the service was a little slow, but certainly worth the wait to get such well-prepared and enjoyable dishes. We will definitely visit Paprika again and hope others will take the time to enjoy this freshly cooked food served by an amiable host.

From the outside, it certainly doesnt look like much. Im glad that didnt stop me.Having seen this place on Check Please, its been on my list for some time. We arrived at 6:30 on a Friday night. There were seven people in our party, we had the place to ourselves. They ran out a corkscrew and ice bucket right away, bringing some complimentary starters too. One person in our party was vegan so I was very impressed with how well they handled us ordering for everyone at the table, suggesting what items could be made vegan. I needing my lamb josh rogen and still had to get that in. We also had the mango chicken curry; which was excellent. For the vegan dishes we did the veggies vandaloo and that was my least favorite. We also ordered onion and garlic naan, malligatawny, and one of the lentil dahls. Everything was incredibly delicious. Service was very attentive and there were several other tables by the time we were done. BYO was a huge bonus and the tab for all of this came out to only $22 per person and we were all stuffed and happy. Will definitely add this to my go-to list for Indian food!
