Decent place to stay. Room was okay. Would appreciate if more Covid-19 protocols like mask wearing was followed without being requested for the same by a customer.As is frequent in Chennai, people feel being vaccinated with 2 doses themselves could not make themselves carriers for virus towards other people. It may be noted that other people and customers may not have had their chance of vaccination yet which makes them still vulnerable.

Great place to have a formal meet for a small group of people with great ambience

We stayed in room no. 403. Worst ambience, I really dont know how it is a ⭐⭐⭐three star hotel. Bathroom are congested and not clean, you cant even take bath. Cockroaches are very common everywhere. Last day there was no power for two hour, even there is no backup. If you order anything thru room service, you receive it after minimum one hour, so you should order lunch at the time of breakfast. Windows are taped because it is leaking water from outside when it rain.  Air-condition is the worst, not at all cool. Room cleaning is just for name . One day received bathroom towels at night 0830pm, because laundry not came. The worst experience ever had in my life

Worst ambience. Better to go through ola / Uber as theres no car parking..... theres no proper accoustics and hence if theres any celebration in the bar or restaurant, it is highly impossible to wait in the lounge

I am a professional traveller stayed in good hotels for more than 1000 nights. But never got such a bad experience. I went to Chennai for half a days work on 21 Nov. I had booking at this Hotel for 1 day 21 Nov. I requested for an early check in on 21 St morning at 6 am mentioning that same day by evening 6 .30 I will vacate. I went to Hotel at 5.30. Even though rooms are available they made me to wait till 6 am. Even though I am booked for an auto upgrade and breakfast nothing was provided. I ordered for a coffee in the morning which was served cold after half an hour. Evening my work was delayed and reached the Hotel by 6 pm. They asked me to vacate immediately without even giving me time for freshen up. Otherwise they were demanding rs 1500 extra. I backed immediately and went to airport even though my flight was at 10pm. I do not want to complain. But during these difficult Covid times when the hotel is empty they could have allowed me extra few minutes on humanitarian basis even though technically they are right as I checked in early. Money does not matter. The front staff should have been little more flexible and considerate for a genuine request of a professional traveller. Hope by seeing this review I wish them to be customer oriented and bring more customers to their hotel. My frank review is only for their improvement. Thanks

Good place to stay..

I came here for the quarantine during the corona virus pandemic and I was about to visit another hotel but due to some reasons we were shifted to this hotel and thats what made me experience the atmosphere at here. It was good to stay here since it was corona we got the foods which were supplied by the TN govt. There are seperate menus kept in every room and the prices wer pretty high, every dishes were priced more than a hundred bucks. And there are a telephone kept in every room and every toilet

Room and bathroom are very clean as new. Had a pleasant stay for 3 days. Breakfast is buffet but the menu is almost same for all days. Taste is ok. The only issue I had during my stay is the WiFi connectivity and its speed. It is so terrible that you can only browse the net in 2G speed but couldnt not stream any content.

A very generic hotel and not kind of star hotel with basic amenities. Dont expect much out of this property interm of luxury or services.

A decent roof garden with a reasonable (comparatively) price.. on a very busy place but still u wil be having a DRINK @ 5 floors up, apart from the traffic watching cricket match in a projection screen.

Check in was ruined. I checked in by 2:00 p.m. I was shown a room behind the hotel building, in a block which they claim to be a part of that same hotel. The access to this place was through the adjacent lane to the hotel compound.Eventhough it was near, i didnt feel it comfortable. I demanded a room in the hotel compound. The reception desk informed me initially that rooms were unavailable in the main block n will have to wait. I demanded a refund, that too seemed technically impossible. After negotiation for 20 minutes, reception came with a room. Then everything went fine. All were great there after. Good food. great bar with 20% discount on Scotch. good rooms and nice staff. breakfast was well served. the location is great for a meet up. premium quality services. access to all means of transport. fine for business stay.

It was a decent stay. good bar and food also. decent behaviour from staff. spacious room and good arrangements at room. no gym is a negative on such kind of property.

Nice place for a drink after a hard day

Stayed for 2 nights.I didnt have good experience with the following:1. We were given two rooms in the first floor which was very noisy due to the construction going on in the main entrance door.2. there was major issues with water. some tank cleaning, boiler issue, water was extremely dirty.3. we were told that there no hand towels, only bath towels. the towels given were not clean4. no coffee makers unless you choose a suite (the kettle for boiling water which was given after making request, was also broken, at least they should check and give.The good:1. the staff was extremely courteous.2. restaurant food is good 3. hotel locality is really good.In a nutshell, if hotel takes some more care, it could be good place to stay.

The food serving people are good and they were very friendly.Reception interaction can be better. Food quality has to be improved. Cleanliness also. Hot sour soup is just like a mix., no touch of experienced cook.

Best Place for Royal stay with Excellent Ambience and atmosphere. They have inhouse restaurant serving all types of food in hygiene manner. Staffs are very polite and kind. Over all Great place for Business trips & family stay during tourist. I strongly recommend for Foreign Visitors tourists to experience an decent paid hotel stay.

Very dull appearance

Raj palace is a place where every Saturday me n my frnds meet. V hv lot of fun. They hv rooms available n rooftop one can enjoy a beer with a beautiful city view. At rooftop v can enjoy different types of drinks n appetizers provided by very polite servants. I love to go there n enjoy spending time with frnds n drinks... Must try place.

Friendly staff, one of the good places to stay if you are planning to purchase from T-nagar. Its just a walkable distance from the hotel.

Parking slot is of a little concern, if more vehicles are there, room is decent, service is also okay, they charged me 100rs( instead of 40)for 2 bottle of mineral water- for this reason i will give 1 star

Good hotel for stay and have nice food in morning breakfast, location wise also its very good as very near by to local market.Though i have been charged double on my morning breakfast reason being - first there credit card machine was not responding and trancation was netheir decline nor successful and i was getting late so i have paid in cash and after leaving i received the mesage that transaction is successful. But hotel people does not called to confirm and does not offer to refund as well.

I stayed at this hotel for few days. Its an okayish hotel with good breakfast menu. Their food is nice.The front desk guy at reception are helpful and friendly.. Avoid doing laundry here as they might overcharge you. Apart from that good hotel with decent price. Polite kitchen and housekeeping staffs. Would def stay again.

The hotel staff is very polite and they would go out of the way to help you! I had absolutely no problem during my stay at Raj Palace. Though wifi connectivity is little poor. The washrooms were clean and house keeping did a good job for the 3 days I stayed. Keep it up!

Rooms are very congested. Bathrooms are very in convenient . The Shampoo and Soap Providing is not in good Quality. Complimentary Breakfast is with Limited Items and Breakfast hall is Very Small.Oil used to Prepare Breakfast is not Good. It should be Changed immediately .

I stayed in this hotel for 25 days. Starting days the services was just good, when few days passed by the service was so bad. Few people doesn’t know how to talk to customers including the Manger named Rafiq. Their is no 24 hours of hot water facility, once i give a call regarding hot water, the hot water used to come after 1hour because of neglence. Food is very good and tasty.People give good reviews about the hotel because they might have stayed for 2-3 days because they feel good.People who stay for a month review should be taken as priority.Need to learn some manners when they are talking to customers expecially.

I didnt get inside the Raj palace. Been to Queens bar. Decent bar with reasonably priced. It is not so expensive. It is ok kind of bar. Eg: You can get KF strong for 221rs. And they provided channa(white sundal), cucumber salad, wheel chips,murukku as side dish.

Hotel Raj Palace is about 20 minutes drive from Chennai Central.The experience is okay at the hotel. Its too much congested.The breakfast area is very small as a result most of the guests have to wait for their turn to sit for breakfast. The menu has variety but not much. You need to ask the attendants what you need other than what is available. Example - boiled eggs, omelette or tea - coffee.Room size is small but decently made up. Toilet is neat and clean.Not very interesting view from the window.Its good for people who want to just spend the night and next day morning after breakfast, go out for whatever work they have come for.In short its not a place where you would like to spend full day, unless you are happy sitting and watching TV.

It is a decent hotel. Rooms are decent size. Food is pretty good. Room service is quite amazing. The laundry service also pretty okay. Location is decent and quite central. There are umpty number of autos when you get off. They have a roof top restaurant. Pretty good for the money.

(Called City View, I think)One of our regular places for nice side-eats along with beer.Our order - 1 Green Salad, 1 Gobi 65, 1 Chilli Paneer, 1 Chilli Egg, 2 Boiled Eggs and 6 Kingfisher Lager beers.Pretty good experience as always, paid a little less than 2K, a wonderful evening with a friend!

Very bad service. One of their front staff (harbanan) is rude. We told him when we arrived that we will be checking out late as ourflight was at night and i dont mind paying the extra cash for it. First he said ok but on the my last day he called us in our room and told to rush the checkout at 12pm. I dont understand why they mentioned that they have 24 hours checkin and check out but dont follow it. Me and my wife were just sitting at the lobby when one of their doorman (saravanan) offer us a room for 1 hour. This is my second time there but it will be my last time too. So bad service. The only good thing is their food.

Best in town, I stayed here 5 days it was pleasant stay for me. Clean n tidy rooms quick room services, roof top garden were you enjoy your evening with city view, food quality is quite better but if you compared with other hotels than it is par better.

Good hotel in a nice location

Was here for the bar they have on premise. This place has been around for years and has a lot of faithfuls. Not much in terms of a drink menu. Food was decent. The podi idli was great and beyond my expectations.Old timers like this place for nostalgia. However, some of those can change if this place wants to keep up with a charging times. For example: enforcing a smoking ban, better lighting and screens, etc..
