Best shop to buy aquarium accessories. They dont have large collections of fishes, but the quality of the fish is somewhat good than other aquariums nearby. The owner have lots of knowledge about aquarium related stuffs. Can be able to answer any question you have in your mind.

Good place for imported tanks and accessories. Collections are less and you cannot find many varieties.I dont think this place is budget friendly compared to other shops.

Astra Aquatics and Indian Aquarium are both the same. You will get everything that you require for your aquarium. The Canister filters are at good price here compared to other shops I visited. Will visit again. Initially I had felt that the place is very small and wont find everything but I was wrong. They have multiple rooms inside and have got everything that is required. If you dont have time to go till Kolathur, then your best bet is this place if you live in and around Velachery. The place is located in the street near Just Bicycles shop at Velachery the one in 100ft road. You can go by car but its better to park the car near the entrance of the street as it is a dead end.

Good place with varieties, but more discounts can be given

This place is small and a little bit difficult to locate. But please make the effort and visit this place. I bought my entire set up from Astra Aquatics. They are equipped with all the stuff, pumps, tanks, filters, media, aqua soil, gravel, rocks, fishes, test kit, food etc. The fishes are kept neatly and are well taken care of - that says a lot about how dedicated the administrators are.

Aquarium with range high end accessories

They have everything you would need starting from a basic tank to planted tanks and marine tank. They deal with brands like boyu, sunsun , api , salifert , fluval and more. Almost Everything you find in kolathur is available here. They also have a selection of driftwood and rocks. They also have a nice collection of small fish for planted tanks. The owner is helpful. Im sure most of your aquarium needs will be satisfied here. Little difficult to locate but it will be worth your time. I have bought a tank here , planted tank light, filter media , rocks , plenty of fish and recently a cichlid tank light. Wont disappoint . Do visit.

Good collection of aquarium products. You can literally get any aquarium product (pump, rocks, lighting) for both marine and freshwater aquarium.Used to sell marine fishes, but stopped at the time of writing this review. Fresh water fish collection is okay.But prices are way too high. You can get cheaper prices at other places.

In this lockdown ordered some top brand products from their online portal price was good and best.The products were timely delivered and there packing was so perfect and received the product in really good condition, will recommend 🤙

They have all aquarium accessories for freshwater, planted & marine setup. It is pro store for aquarium accessories. Most fishes that they are selling are suitable for planted tank. They dont have much of cichlids collection. Also they do have marine fishes. Live plants also available for good price. Shopkeeper are very friendly.

If youre looking for all aquarium related material then this is THE place to be. Quality is good price is OK, you pay for quality sometimes. The owner is a very knowledgeable and courteous guy and he will discuss fish keeping with you but as always theyre a shop and youll be a customer. Tetrabits and Sera fish food are also available. Finding the spot might be a bit tricky and theyre only open half a day on Sunday.

We starting exploring various options to buy a complete CO2 set for our planted tank which is a significant investment. Did good research online e-commerce and visited many shops in Kolathur twice but couldnt get the confidence in deciding.We reached out to Astra Aquatics through WhatsApp and listed them the components we needed. In few hours, the person responded with the price list of each component and suggested to visit the shop for few varieties available in the co2 diffuser alone.To be honest the price was only slightly higher (1%) compared to the shops in Kolathur. We ended up purchasing all the components here as the service was good and sales people were very helpful in making our decision.In my opinion, this is the best place for Aquarium Accessories in the city.

Great place for all your aquarium needs. If you are in the vicinity of Velachery, your local pet-shop/aquarium doesnt fulfill your needs and Kolathur is too far a travel, then this is the place to be. Good collection of tanks, accessories (pumps, filters, CO2 kits, test kits etc) substrates, rocks and some fishes too. The shop was neatly kept and the fishes were maintained well. Mr. Raja who attended to me was super patient and let me take my own time to see around the stuff and decide. As a beginner into the fish keeping hobby, this place had everything I was looking for. Astra Aquatics will definitely be my go-to-shop in the future too.

Looking at positive Google Reviews, we visited this place today, after confirming and re-confirming timings.When we visited, there was one gentleman available in the shop and he was catering to the only customer available there, we being the second customer.As we needed some suggestions on what we were looking at, we briefly explained our requirements and were informed that ,a. the gentleman would check if he could help us to customizeb. he would talk to us once the other customer leaves after ~10mins.While the 1st customer was leaving ~20mins since we reached there, a 3rd customer came and this gentleman prompty started catering to them asking us to wait again.After some time, I asked him how long he would need as 4th customer was there by then and I was apprehensive this gentleman might ask us to wait further and moreover he has neither confirmed what exactly he could do for us and whether at all, that would be of any help to us.He went offensive, told us if we push him for time, he could maximum offer us a motor (that was only one part of what we need) and if we need anything beyond that, we need to wait for him to be free depending on whenever he feels, he would be free!! He also said, he needs ~30mins to discuss our reqirements (till then he never said that he needs such a long time as our requirements were not that different!!).We found it very rude and against basic tenets of customer service, told him so and left.While I am no one to offer any advise to this gentleman, only thing I could say, todays known customer was a potential customer to you one day and same way, todays potential customer could be tomorrows repeat customer.Post receipt of response from the outlet:Sir/Madam,We went to your shop hoping that our requirements would be fulfilled.That was not the case, so we shared our opinion and what we went through.The following would be last set of comments from my end.As this is your shop, you are free to believe what you want to believe.1. We were definitely the 2nd customer, not 3rd.2. As the project was discussed very briefly till then, it was never confirmed whethe your shop could and would do it.3. 2 minutes went beyond that, as people involved started calling others for different things.In essence, we waited for ~25 mInutes+ on a Sunday noon when most of the other aquarium shops around are already closed/would soon be closed, without having an idea whether we would get what we were looking for, inside a shop while being expected to wait further depending on the gentlemans whims and fancies on when and whom to cater to, who simultaneously felt extremely offended when probed on how long it would take and all this, after we re-confirmed our visit timings as buying things in a shop like this, surely take time.
