As a Msc.Multimedia student I’ll be graduating from ICAT Design and Media College in 2021. My professors and classmates guided and supported me onto great successes. Professors are top notch, class sizes are small, and campus scenery in beautiful. The professors, particularly in the Multimedia department, are amazing. I am very involved in the colleges extra-curricular activities and I’m happy to be the General Secretary of the college and give my 100% contribution. ICAT has always encouraged all kinds of talents by letting us be a part of different events. We take that as an opportunity to know our own skills and abilities too. During pandemic period...ICAT had to transfer completely to online teaching, and I believe they did the best job they could have done in the circumstances. The professors were understanding as everyone was adjusting, the online coursework was fair and still covered the material. While there was internet trouble, the online experience went well. Teachers did their best to get Google meet schedules consistent. Had very good instructors and content was challenging while not overwhelming.

Dont join with any expectations. Clg environment is good but you have to learn everything mostly by yourself. For a degree course I will recommend not to join here instead you can better learn from any other diploma course. Campus is very small and you wont be provided with the updated versions of softwares based on the industrial requirements.

Icat design and media college is the best platform for understanding team work as well as leveling up the creativity of once through exhibitions.

Its a great platform where we can shine on our passion. Its a place where we can show our ture colour on a good stage. Very good and genuine faculty. Feels good to be an ICAT student.

First of all this not a college this an institute and Ive completed my b.sc game design and development, worst teaching not enough staffs not guarantee for career, putting some money into a tutorial centre thats wat it feels like after joining, one word about this institute is believe the opposite of wat all they say.

Good college , the campus can be better

The reviews you see here are not completely honest the staff here force the students to give good reviews. Icat is THE worst college ever. They grab your money and teach nothing with no shame and they also make you feel guilty for not learning anything by yourself. If you have a lot of money and want to waste, this the best place if not NO.

ICAT is definitely a completely new experience and I feel it had changed the course of my life and I am so excited to see where it takes me. I had never imagined myself organizing and now I see that as an important path that I want to take. Every aspect of the class was Artistic and Informative. This course really challenged me to dig deep and uncover the root art as well as the technical side of animation to make myself a professional guy. I have an entirely new lens through which to observe the world and I have begun to learn how I can take all of this and be ready for working inside a creative field. I think this is one of the most valuable courses I have taken.

Im doing my 3rd year UG Animation in ICAT, Chennai. ICAT has given me various learning experience. Faculties are very friendly with the students, which enables them to engage more in the working environment. After joining here, I have gained various knowledge related to my stream and developed my skill sets with the help of my faculties. ICAT provides you with the tools and resources to grow as an artist. What you do with those resources is completely up to you. This college provides one of the finest environments to study in (in India). Negatives can be found in every college. Its up to students to strive and push forward to learn more. The coaching from ICAT will provide you with just the right amount of info and knowledge you need to move forward. I come from the Visual Effects department so my experience is based on what I gained from the VFX dept. Coming here is the best choice I have made for my career.

The college has had a good influence on me since I started my course here. As a visual effect student, this is the right place to learn a lot of new things. We learn how things are done in the industry and have been given practice according to it. So, towards the end of the course we are already in a working mindset. The faculties are really good and help us whenever we need them to.They take up the responsibility to organise our lives and be successful. Every student is given individual attention and taken care of in a specific manner depending on how they work. We also work everything in practical. The theory classes are comparatively less, and thats how you learn.

Every artist was once an amateur and so do I.But, ICAT Design and Media college with its highly skilled faculty and a good creative study environment made me a VFX artist working in a Hollywood VFX company today.Im really thankful to all my faculty members and thankful to the placement cell who helped us (students) to get into the leading art based companies in the Industry.

They dont provide proper information about cultural results or any other information regarding the ending time of the cultural programs. And this time they conducted it in a different place maybe due to lack of space. If you are invited for a cultural fest, I would suggest you not to go there for your own good.

ICAT is the place where we can learn and build our self really unique that offers us opportunities. The Teachers and stuffs always support their students to build their dream carer. But one thing i disagree when i get here they informed me that we will get all advanced label techniques in the softwares in PG VFX and in 85% in our course we got that advance label, but for dynamics portion its not enough and one more thing i want to request ICAT management and technical Department that our working machines (PCs) which is definitely need some technical update so that students can work smoothly and undisturbed. but overall experience is great.

I studied M.Sc Multimedia here (2016 - 2018), its a perfect college to study the multimedia course. They have a proper curriculum. Im honestly saying when I complete my UG degree I have just 10% of software knowledge, on my PG here I learned the software knowledge in a proper syllabus. The events they are conducting is really motivating and helpful to gain knowledge. I really thanks to Icat and all the lectures who make my life shine. Best days on my life also for my career. I did PG in VFX for 1yr. Classes were pretty good for the most part and I also got placed. A lot of ixat students are recognised well at VFX companies like where I work. So that is a plus.

Im The Attari, currently studying the second year of my photography degree, joining ICAT was the best decision that I made in my life. It is the best college to study in. The best part is our faculties who treat us like family not just students, if we have any problem they re always there for us. I am thankful to all my faculties who have taught me so much and been with me through everything till now, as they are gonna be in my further life. ICAT will always be the best part in my life and i will never regret choosing studying in it. I Always have and always will be proud to be a student here. Every year in december we go on photography trips to awesome places, last year we went to Rajasthan, this year we are going to Nepal. After learning so much about photography, i was able to bring my own unique shooting technique which is UV Light Photography through which i was able to learn Art and Design.

VFX Classes are going so well since the second month , because we had Photoshop and other basic classes in the first month. After that we were assigned daily tasks that had to be done before the next class. So that everyone were engaged and working in their own works. I think our batch is blessed with the best teachers . Every faculty is so friendly , helpful and motivating so that we don’t have any fear of asking what we need. Every doubt we had was cleared instantly. After some time, we started working in Nuke and our routine classes started. Our works were judged and graded accordingly. We started working with an interest and till now the classes are going good. As a whole Icat college is a good decision i have made to proceed my PG.

They encourage practical learning, and keep us motivated.

The college degree offered is from University of Whales UK. The degree has no value what so ever in India. Even placement offered by the college is not up to mark.If creativity is in you, there is no need for this degree and wasting 3 years; better go for some diploma courses and jump in to industry than wasting 3 years time.The frees is also too high.
