Thiruvanmiyur railway station is really maintained well. Maybe because of near by IT companies. But I can give 10 out of 10 for cleanness. You have to take tickets to travel in train mostly Velachery to beach station you have to take 5 rs as ticket. For other stations maximum it covers within 10 rs.

Tiruvanmiyur is also known as tidel park to local share autosPlace is not that much hygiene but you have to to use it when you want to connect with Chennai Central by cheap way

This station is always full with IT employes.As this station is located in a place which is easily accessible to all the IT companies located here. This is the station where most of the IT employees deboard and board the train. But the station lacks maintenance.No proper toilet facilities.For getting the ticket passengers has to walk 200 to 500 metres approx.Needs lots of improvements.

One of the better stations in this rail network. The area in which it was built was huge but it was heavily under utilized. The railway has to take this and send tenders to people to setup shops like a mini mall. They are wasting quite a lot of space. The station has some shops and advanced reservation facilities also available. We have a bus stop just opposite to the railway station itself.

Good availability of local trains to Park station (for Chennai Central Stop) and Velachery, same as other local trains this route has frequent trains, mostly busy with IT employees. The staff here will never work, most of the times the ticket counter will have long queue and one employee will be selling the tickets, they don’t think to help to reduce queue. No proper maintenance of drinking water, toilet are horrible. But this is one among the best route to reach Central station for people staying in OMR road, as there is no frequent bus to Chennai Central station. For people staying in navallur Kelambakkam used to get down at Tidal Park bus stop and board this station to reach Central station (MAS).

Poorly maintained station. This station is one of the stations of elevated MRTS corridor of Beach - Velachery route. It Serves as a hub for connecting city thru trains for many IT companies and IT parks in this locality. This station also has elevated walkways for pedestrians connecting the nearby IT parks and other institutions.

Not bad but need more lights in basement because its very to walk inside nd outside on the station at the night time due to dim lights...

Once it was the outskirts of Chennai, now has become a thickly populated residential area. It has very old Maruntheeswarar temple, valmiki temple and TNRTC Depot.

Local station for MRTS in Thiruvanmiyur is decent . This is an important station in close proximity to Tidel Park, NIFT and Thiruvanmiyur junction.It has booking counters , escalator, paid water refill zones and paid public toilets. The best thing is an IRCTC canteen with a variety of food , pretty good in quality and well -priced . There is a lot of space that is under- utilised. There is some good wall art to try photography and for selfies.

This is one of the busiest suburban railway station. Most the people will step down and catch local train to central or egmore station.

Such a massive constructed with parking and lot more space, the food court available with good option of food. There was sign boards and other art posters which looks cool.Very well clean and maintained properly, there was a reachable police booth in the platform. The reservation centre has more ample seats for commuters to wait. Always busy station with handling capacity more, and facilities are upcoming and getting better and better day by day.

One of the busiest stations in the city...Best thing about this station is its spot.. More accessible... Near to the bus depot, It parks, etc.,It would be great if the station has one more ticket counter at the other end.. Coz its little difficult for some people to get tickets... One of the good Local Railway Stations. You can get food as well. As there are a few food outlets. The tracks are elevated here, but there are elevators/ lifts available. So, It is convenient for elderly people as well.From this Railway Station, you can take Private Auto as well as sharing/ auto or Bus. Usually, trains come every 20 minutes for either directions.

Ya its a big Local Railway station mostly it is not that much crowded but in the peak hours like morning and evening office time it has so much crowd.It is a busy Railway Station but less busier than Park Town Railway Station.I would say the cleanness is decent of station wall, stairs and floor but the railway track too dirty and no one cleans that which is one bad thing for this station.

Big railway station, but there is no safety for passengers in ground floor. These stations are look like metro stations. Every 15m we have a train for both sides. Nice experience. Some of the stations are very nearly from one station like 200m. This will becomes train get reached to next station within 2min.

This place is very big and I usually board the train in the evening and the best thing about this place is you have a food court area. Dropping here and getting my favourite butterscotch Ice cream is my favourite part of the train journey.

The station serves the commuters the best way to reach Thiruvanmiyur location from Chennai Central since the road traffic is so heavy during peak hours. It is advisable to take to train routes if our programme is time bound.... better than our own vehicles

Escalator is not functioning

Very busy station specially during office beginning and ending hours. Very spacious, some what neat. There is an escalator which work sometimes to reach beach side station. You can see lot of empty space from entrance to ticket counters.

Its a railway station for Chennai local train. Many of the times the ticket counter can be busy. Use your UTS app to buy the ticket. The station is good, though many of the times, the escalator doesnt work.

They have well maintained toilet in 1 platform (towards beach). Small food track is also available. Easily accessible. Parking available.

The ground floor building looks shady and empty but the platform is decorated with beautiful paintings.This place is photo worthy

An elevated metro railway station that caters to the IT parks nearby. Good rush in morning and evening. Ticket counter is very far from entrance. Snacks shops, water points, restroom facilities available. Bike parking available in basement with inadequate lighting. Train between Chennai beach station and velachery and back is connected. One of the Good Railway Station in Near Thiruvanmiyur town. In this station was opened on 26 January 2004, as part of the second phase of the  MRTS Network Since it was the terminal station at the time of its opening, a crossover was initially planned at the station to divert the trains between up and down directions. However, this was never realised as the project administration failed to include this requirement in the revised proposal for ballastless track. The up and down lines between Tirumailai and Tiruvanmiyur station before Velacheri were completed during 2003.

Kind of busiest local train station.. food ventures are available.. fastest means of transport as compared to MTC buses... Tickets are cheaper too..

Good railway station in terms of maintenance. But there is a big queue in peak hours. Please use the UTS app which let you book your train ticket 500 meters away from station premises.

Actually, The ticket counter is too far. The train track is in 2-3rd floor (bridge). We can either take stairs or we can use escalator if we feel lazy. The station look so clean, surrounded with Shops and attached toilets.

The MRTS is far better than a few other stations. A few suggestions are fans to be provided above all the seats. Currently only one for such a long way. Escalator to be provided in the other end from which commuters use more frequently and also have a ticket issuing counter. I also feel with such a huge facility why cant commercial outlets be given on rent and earn huge revenues. Will the authorities listen to this?

On ground floor .Station food is quite good And fresh .Magazines are available on the station .This place can reach by Bus , bike or 2 - wheeler.Security purposes, police helpline is available for 24hrs .

Such a pathetic railway station. Stairs looks like a public toilet. Government started planning for high speed rails without having properly maintained suburban train. Desrerves zero star rating

One of the busiest stations in this route. All basic facilities are available. Further cleanliness and facilities would improve the standard.

Near Tidal park. Located at the junction. The ticket booking office has a vending machine as wells as five to six booking counters. I would recommend booking with UTC app prior to reaching station, since sometimes the queue at the counters might be too long and you may miss trains. In you dont have plenty of time book online.

Bit rush station but Utter waste of such a huge building. Sometimes the escalator wont work. Thank God for opening the food court at least. Can do something more to use the space more efficiently.To buy ticket is more painful, you have to walk miles inside the station and on Friday Evening dont even think about it.Such a long queue you might get fainted

A great place with the first food on track outlet at any MRTC station. Busy will be the apt word to describe it. It provides connectivity to the OMR and other places like kovilambakkam. Autos are available here easily as well as bus.

Major railway station in Chennai which connects OMR. It is the place which sees thousands of IT peoples. Trains frequency is more during peak hours and you will get atleast 2 trains in normal hours. Very large area and have bakery food items and cool drinks which helps the traveling people to get something. Overall good maintenance as well.

Lots of empty space which can be used for many activities. Place is located exactly at the heart of IT park and very easy to reach from many places. Four wheeler parking is not available. Few bakery and coffee shop in the station adds value to the station. Direct Trains to Thiruvallur, Gumidypoondy, Avadi are available.

A decent railway station. This is a Local Railway Station so you cant expect it to be super clean. But its maintained decently. You can find food vendors at the platform as well.People from area in and around Thoraipakkam, Karappakam, etc can find this station an easier one(and there is Taramani Railway Station also) to commute to Chennai Central Railway Station which will cost you just ₹5.It would be easier if you book your ticket in UTS mobile app in advance(cost you the same amount) to skip the frequently long queue at the counter.Trains come at a frequency of 15 to 20 minutes.

Good and easy fast connectivity to Central or to beach from omr and thiruvamiyur

Chennai locals are a great way to travel cheap throughout the city. Its not overcrowded like the Mumbai local. It actually has space for ppl to board and slack off on the journey. Starts early in the morning.

Its a big station. Located just opposite to Fidel Park. It is junction for people whomever working in OMR and living in other side of chennai (like perambur, ambattur, avadi and so on). Toilet available in one platform. Parking available only for 2 wheeler. Food court available here in one platform (platform 1). Both platforms were well maintained. Unused space is more and not maintained well. Parking will be flooded during the rainy days and not enough lights available in parking.

Well this is the only place that enables me to travel to my hometown. As this is the best way to travel to Chennai central from Old mahabalipuram road. If we go by roadways, there is a high chance that you might miss your train or wont reach on train. So ideally this is the only option. But the drawback is that it wont be there until thiruvanmiyur and reaching thiruvanmiyur itself is a big task

The station is not clean. It is easily accessible by bridge built by Ramanujam It park. But inside the station more maintenance is required. Trains available are washermanpet route and Velachery route. It is opposite to tidel park. They have smart bike outside the station. The smart bike cycles can be scanned and used. The station is near to bus stop.

Busy station. Its the station for Chennai IT hub. Near by this station we can find well know IT parks like Tidal, Ramanujam, Acendas and more. To avoid city road traffic this is best transport solution, but work with your journey as this is main station for Chennai IT hub (check for peak hrs).

This is a local railway station. Here two platforms are available. One is for way to velacherry and other is for park station. And this is one of the peak station. Because near this station there are some IT parks are there. And the famous IT park Mr Ramanujan IT park is located here. And there is a fashion tech college is also there. So from park station to velacherry station,this station only have some shops in station.

One of the Busiest railway station in velacherry and beach route. Officails has to vusit and make it fully functional station with passanger friendly. Now a days not clean, bad smell all the place. Station building maintainance is very bad and constructions not comple properly most of the places are leakage on rainy days.When Xi visit India then only got some clean work done. No proper sign boards niddle of the groud floor section and pedestrian path. Even the ticket counters always big queue.. Not sure why not putting automatic machines here.

Hi this is a local train railway station.It is station which is located in-between the velacherry and beach station.Lots of sitting here to sit.Food is available for hungryPurified water is available with the minimum cost. 3rs, 5rs, 8rs.Also drinking water is available but its not like a drinking water.Toilet also available both gents and ladies. But its cost.Escalator also available .You should walk to the station by bridge because the vehicle is moving all the time.This place is not well maintained.Its not a clean one. So dirty.

Great for people traveling to beach.The only mode of transport that was alive during 2015 floods.Now renovated with paid restrooms and few refreshment shops.

Food court and sanitation facilities are there not like greenways road station or perungudi station. You can book outstation Reservation tickets also till 8 pm. Reservation counter is there not too much of rush. U no need to go for central Egmore beach or Tambaram for ticket reservation.
