Rooms are good, Ambience and interiors are fine but the Hotel services are not up to the mark. For 24 Hrs stay of around 3000/- room you get only 1 mineral water bottle and for extra you have to pay more.I took a room with breakfast and dinner complimentaryFor Breakfast Buffet is there, thats good but for dinner the items that you can order is limited, And if you order starter and main course both as non veg then the restaurant staff refused by saying, theres only one non veg dish allowed in that tarrif..adding to that.. room service applicable to additional charges.

We had a short stay for 2 days and 2 nights , which was official.Check in - Check out was very smooth . Room was spacious and clean. Bed was cozySofa chairs and Office chair were available, free WIFI made very comfortable to work .Free breakfast buffet had plenty of items like idle, dosa, paneer paratha, upma, pongal along with items like cut fruits, juice, ice tea, corn flakes, chocos, boiled egg, sausages, bread, butter , jam, toaster, oats, potato fries, tea, milk, coffee etc. All items and curries were very tastywe had lunch and dinner also from the same restaurant.. Tried Malabar & Chinese dishes , tested great, and authentic.All the staffs were very well behaved , room service and house keeping staffs were also very polite and friendly, available all the time.Thank you...

Hospitality needs a massive upgrade. The staff at the entrance was unnecessarily impolite when enquired about the valet services and the lack of packing space. He went on to blatantly ignoring our further queries. He was also seen to be badmouthing the drivers that followed me. Regardless of the circumstances , his unapologetic behaviour is a major downside and reflects poorly on your services.

Wonderful hotel. Not too expensive. The customer service is top class. Breakfast is free but still the quality and quantity is high. I had a pleasant stay there.

I had to come for a memorial gathering of a late family member. However, the hotel and its ambience did lighten everyones spirits and made it joyful. I am looking forward to staying there for a holiday.

Earlier the buffet was amazing. But when we went there recently we could see that there was an Increase in price of buffet and also REDUCED VARIETIES. There were only idly, Ragi, Dosa, Oats and bread for breakfast. Ntng else

Attended a Marriage Reception in their Vantage Hall and Dinner was arranged in Summit hall just opposite to the Vantage Hall.Arrangements made to handle 400-500 people. Since the headcount is increased gradually I couldnt feel the comfortness of the hall.Valet parking available at the front desk and waiting area is good. Lift capacity is limited.

Was here for a business meeting. They have decent meeting room facility with a package for lunch. The buffet lunch is fairly priced. They can do better on the spread though. The food quality is very good.

Clean & comfortable rooms. The buffet breakfast spread is quite good & inclusive with additional options - eggs to order. The pool though is not worth the effort of going over. Friendly & approachable staff. A pleasant stay for business trips.

Its an OK hotel with much room for improvement. The rooms are very old and in serious need of renovation. The floors were dusty and cups were uncleaned upon my arrival. The shower is a hit or miss with fluctuating pressure & temperature. There are some positives though like the location of the hotel is very nice and central. The AC was very good. I may not consider this hotel again for my next stay.

Deserved 4* for maintaining an old property with good standards. But degraded due to unfriendly front desk,which is manned by staff who doesnt care about basic etiquette of offering a smile and day wishes for the guest. A few seconds chat is good enough to spoil your day. Restaurant, room service staffs are so friendly and cordial.

I stayed at room 002..but the wifi was not functional there for some reason so i asked them a change of room and i got it the next day... I did not try food there so cant say the quality and taste... The room service was good. The reception ppl were jolly and courteous. My son puked the day we were checking out and i informed the admin and they took care of it without charging me extra. The place where this hotel is.. Is close to few good restaurants like copper chimney which is walkable distance.. There are some real good ice cream parlor and pizza sandwich outlets nearby.. Uber taxi and auto rickshaws are easily available at this hotel. US embassy and OFC center are both few kms from this hotel... This hotel is best i could find at the budget i booked it.. Good value for money. Will visit this place again if need be...

Nice place

While the location of the hotel is very good, the approach is very cumbersome. The road has divider which involves driving some distance to take a U turn and enter the hotel. Being a very narrow and busy road and location of hotel just near a signal light means during peak traffic hours you have to wait till signal turns green to get a chance to enter the hotel IN gate. Portico is very small and can take only one car at a time which means if a car is already there you wait in driveway for it to move after guests and luggage are unloaded. Absolutely no parking inside hotel but thankfully 24 hrs valet parking is available. Parking is done at a small compound 2 buildings away on the same side as hotel so you go against one way traffic for 70-80 mtrs. Even this parking lot can take maximum 12-14 cars thats it.Hotel is old and quite small ( 85 rooms + annexe with another 35-40 rooms). Check in was quick and easy due to prior reservation. Our 4th floor rooms was satisfactory but not large enough to accommodate an extra bed so only double occupancy feasible unless you want to cram the room. Room furnishing and furniture were sufficient and good with 2 telephones, bedside control unit for lights etc. Though the centralised AC took along time to cool even at 20 degree setting in November climate wonder how much longer it would take in peak Chennai summer temperatures. The bed as in most hotels was terribly saggy and most uncomfortable to sleep and was much higher than standards of most quality hotels. And watch out for the treacherous strip ( 2ft x 6 ft) of carpet laid at the foot of bed...a sure killer if you step on it in a hurry....its slips like skates on ice and you will have a nasty fall with dangerous consequences. I checked the carpet had no rubber backing and was wool on polished marble resulting in zero friction and excellent slider.Bathroom was satisfactory with good plumbing fittings though the WC flush valve requires extra effort for full prolonged flushing due to a mechanical lever type flush valve. Bath tub doubles as shower place also....a bit cumbersome in the cramped space. Bathroom amenities and towels were at satisfactory levels...no issues there.Hot water was on 24 hrs. Tea coffee maker with requisite sachets, in room safe, spacious wardrobe with hangers were all very satisfactory. LEd TV, writing desk with separate chair all nice.The rooms service menu was very extensive and covered all cuisines and tastes though we did not have an opportunity to try them out as we had all our meals at the wedding which we attended. So I cant comment on the taste of food but considering the prices on menu I sincerely hope they are good.The Bar as is the case with most hotels in Chennai is tucked away in the basement away from public glare as chennaites assume drinking is to be done surreptitiously as if it were a crime( this is a curse to Bars all over Tamil Nadu). But then the Bar here called Alchemy was pretty good with chilling AC ensuring you swig down a few drinks quickly to warm up yourself. Again an extensive list of spirits and beers including imported brands but also priced quite high ( thanks to multiple taxes). We had a chance to try out two snack dishes along with our drinks -a veg( mushroom) and non veg( chicken) and must admit both were very good....so I presume their food menu must also be quite good.Service was uniformly good by all staff members..Hosuekeeping, bell boys, valets all courteous and effective.Over all a good hotel to stay but could do with a renovation due to its age and parking is a bug bear for guests coming in own cars. No harm in trying it out for your next stay. Current prices Rs.3920 net AI for bed and free breakfast on twin occupancy. oh yes I forgot...you get free Wi fi internet in rooms okay speed nothing great but helps you to stay connected.

Dining space very small. . No wash basin. No sitting arrangement. No segregation between veg and non veg. Mediocre food quality especially kulcha. Not suitable for wedding reception.

A Good and clean hotel with good interior. The rooms are done of the old type. The rooms are big too with conventional touch. The food in room service is good, stayed for 3 days and tried a healthy food platter on both days. Location is also pretty convinient Over all a good experience and will strongly recommend. There is a pub at the basement.

Good luxury hotel located in Chennai. I was attended interview for Biotech Industrial Training Programs (BITP) conducted by Biotech Consortium India Ltd (BCIL) collaborated with department of Biotechnology. Normally interview for BITP in Chennai region is conducting in this venue. I was totally satisfied with there service. Food is top class. Good parking area. Nice atmosphere.

They could not provide dental kit . Only one towel for two people. When requested for an extra towel, they said they will provide and took more than an hour and few reminder calls to provide them...room service is always delayed .food was kind of below average. Fish smelled bad

After these prolonged stint in monsoons.... we landed up in Chennai at Raj Park on Dec 2019. Easily accessible by road. Staff is genuinely polite, respectful and responsive.Were situated on the 2 rd floor in the new building. General rooms. Small though nice decor. Functional and more suitable for business travelers than families in my opinion since rooms are a bit small for comfort for a family of 3. There is no facility for an extra bed if youre 4 in no i.e. 2+2 go in for the costlier rooms. Theyve more space. Bed is queen size not king. Be sure to take up the rooms on the higher levels since views would be better there. Try the main building though rooms there are far more costlier.The place is nested around many famous eateries. Not the far for essential items stores nearby.Bathrooms are small but functional.Rooms have no balcony.Electrical options are unconventional and require a specific learning curve hence would be difficult for the elderly. Rooms are NOT disabled friendly due to paucity of space and the electric switch settings. Forget ever getting a wheel chair out here.Food options are galore and where the rooms left a bit to be desired, the food made up for it. Excellent taste and choice to offer. A good bar selection, though a bit in the costlier side.Would recommend more for business or couples. Maybe not families. At 4.3k a tad bit expensive for the facilities. My opinion.
