Very neatly maintained, nice experience, good for city commute at cheap best cost and fast speedy travel inside city, highly recommended for people who dont like traffic but will be crowded in peak hours

Another good Metro station of Chennai Metro. I found Guindy to be a very user friendly station with good food options, feeder services and centrally located.Staff are friendly and helpful. Maintenance is quite good.I was surprised to see very few people using the Metro. I highly recommend for all those who can to use the Metro. Its clean, convenient and quite fast. Do note the underground section and the birds eye view as you come out the tunnel - while coming in from the north.

Guindy metro connects to the major places including airport in very shorter duration

Nice and well maintained Metro station, direct trains to Airport and Wimco nagar in North Chennai, very close to Guindy Railway station.

As far as cleanliness goes, so far almost every metro station that is open are doing a fine job. Its quite easy to spot and very easy to get into from the Guindy bus stop as proper subway facilities have been provided here. As usual, there are 2 platforms, one taking you to the airport and the other to Washermanpet. Fantastic view of the flyovers and roads, another win for Chennai metro

One of the more functional stations in the Chennai Metro, Guindy is such a good station to get down in simply because of all the connectivity options. You can walk to the bus stop, the suburban railway station and even avail a share-auto (these are in plenty near the station).There are lots of cheap options from this station to go to the south of the city. Station is well-maintained and huge! If they had a SmartBike stand near the station, that would be great.

A largely industrial district, Guindy is also home to Guindy National Park, a tropical forest inhabited by blackbucks, jackals and dozens of butterfly species. Pythons and cobras are the main attraction at the Chennai Snake Park on the edge of the forest. Nearby, St. Thomas Mount is a Christian pilgrimage site, where the apostle is believed to have been martyred. The site has a colonial church and panoramic views.

A well executive plan of metro. It connects Airport in 5 minutes and Koyambedu in 20 minutes. A time saving transport mode. But not that much utilised. Station is fully protected and very big. Paid Parking is available. Very neat and good environment.

Maintenance is good but there are no sign boards. Passengers getting confused while deciding in which platform they should go to board the train to the place they want to go.

Too expensive.For 2 stops Rs 20.In Delhi, costs Rs 20 for 10 stops.Any amount of Metro or Flyovers or Tunnels are not going to solve the typical ‘mess’ that exists in every major city in the world.Only by ‘reverse-migrating’ city people back into smaller towns, thousands of problems that exists in every major city in the world, will get resolved.To do that, regional or rural parts of every country needs to be developed, so people are not forced to migrate to cities for survival.People living in cities never want to admit that they have problems.Rubbish lying around at every street corner (and the bad odour created) doesn’t appear to people’s eyes, as people are busy immersed into city’s hype, city’s glamour and entertainment such as tv shows, e.g, ‘Supersinger’, cricket matches and a lot more, and also busy talking about it.Also, people think, desk-based jobs offered in major cities in service sector, will keep growing for ever.Most of such jobs including IT market are of “volatile” in nature, which people refuse to accept the reality.It is the sectors that supply basic needs of people such as food, clothing, shelter, health, are the ones will remain ever green.People who are educated seems to be ashamed of working in the basics sector.Hence, ever increasing population in major cities, driving the need to built a metro system, only to solve cities problems temporarily, which is nothing but “eye-washing”.Time to wakeup.

The station is among the elevated stations coming up along corridor I of the Chennai Metro, Washermanpet–Chennai International Airport stretch. The station will serve the neighbourhoods of Guindy and Velachery.

Well maintained Metro Station. Metro is available for Airport. For going to CMBT and St. Thomas Mount we have to alight at Alandur Metro (Next Station) and Change train.They could have planned a Direct passengers overbridge connecting Guindy Station Overbridge. Now we have to come out of Guindy Station and go to the Metro.

Guindy metro is situated closer to Guindy EMU (Electric Train) station. Maintained very well by CMRL. As on August 2018, you can travel to AG DMS at Teynampet, Airport and to Central Railway Station. By 2019 January, the service will be extended upto Washermanpet. Feeder service is available to Velachery. Use platform No.2 for travelling towards AG DS and Platform No.1 for travelling towards Airport and Central Railway Station.

Metro project :It started frm school days, i gt job and they r still constructing in park station(5 yrs). Pity on metro. Japan must hv used and discarded this train in this period of time lol.

There needs to be an exit for the other side of the road, otherwise you have to take 3-5 km round trip because of no partition on the road and one way problem.
