Very very bad experience with this hotel. We have ordered for a parcel of parotta there but the taste was not good. The parottas were too tough ,we cant eat at all. Even i personally went and collected the parcel in the restaurant.given us old parottas

Once upon a time famous for super quality food but now the quality is not up to the customer expectation. Without improving quality they hike price every now and then and hence the visitor density reduced a lot and almost empty always.

Poor Poor Poor Service.... One of the best hotels in the past... I pity their ancestors who worked hard for the success of this restaurant... The waiters are rude and dont have any patience.The managers are least bothered about customer service... Wont be coming here anymore

The quality of food is going down day by day. The foot fall is also very less compared to few years back. The taste has down and as well as the service. The staff also seems to be less motivated which is having an impact on their service level. Even the neatness in the uniform of the staff has gone.

I liked the place. Food tasted great albeit all dishes are on a little expensive side. Staff were friendly and I recomend you try ghee roast!

Tasty and yummy as always. my fav is their idly and ghee Pongal. Their filter coffee has a unique taste. Overpriced yet their fan.

We had mini tiffin, onion dosa, idly. Breakfast was good. Dosa atta was not properly make. Very good ambience. Hygienic toilets, washroom, washbasin. Spacious parking facility. Its situated in a lane. Party hall facility also available here. Filter coffee was served without brew so its little unsatisfied. Ofcourse price is little high. Totally food is good.

We are travelling to catch the train by the time we are so hungry. So we stepped into this hotel. We have ordered one aapam with coconut milk and after eating that we loved it soo much. And asked again and again and again. It was soo delicious. We have also tried idly, dosa, and variety of tasty foods. So I recommend all to try this hotel. Sooo delicious foods and neat serving.Very satisfied

There are many Saravana Bhavans in Chennai. This one is located in Purusaiwakkam. I went there with lots of expectations and there is much waiting for the table. Finally I could find place for myself and ordered meals. I was very disappointed with the quality of food. The curd is sour. When I visited Saravan in Anna Nagar some time back, the quality was amazing. I am not sure whether these Saravan hotels belong to one group or some of them are copy cats. I lodged my grievance to the person incharge and he apologised and said they would improve. The staff are courteous.

The tasty will be nice but the service wont be.. they wont bother whether you are satisfied or not they just keep the food.. even if u need some sambar r rasam it wont be available.. by the time it arrives you will finish the meal and you will be long goneIf you want to talk n eat peacefully just dont go in there..

Tried authentic Tamil food , its good , Drumstick sambar was authentic., Holege was good. Mr Subramani Serverd food well.

Authentic south Indian food. Multiple chutneys, all of them yummy. Rava kesari is equally good. Dont forget to end it with filter coffee

Today I went to saravana bhavan @ Kenneth lane , ordered pongal. The pongal was average and not exceptional for the price ₹90/. Very upset what was a saravana bhavan earlier and now. How is the price justified.. Clueless.. Very upset.

Worst ever visited restaurant. Sambar in meal was soar. Chapati was half roasted. Soup was smelling bad. Curd rice was totally waste. In total my 1000 bucks was such a waste. Would not recommend anyone to visit this restaurant. I visited Chennai and expecting same taste as other south indian state food. But totally disappointed.

Very COSTLY food. No one to control their price.Average taste . Good hygiene. Good staff. Single meal cost around 130 but has no special item in it. All food items and breakfast are similar to food served in any avg restaurant but cost is inflated to twice or thrice the amount.

Standard of saravana bhavan came down in all aspects.

The Quality and Taste of good was not as expected from Saravana Bhavan( Egmore) , being such a big chain of hotel , one can expects a better taste. ₹150+taxes was really not worth.

It is following all the covid 19 protocols where all the waiters were masks and the tables were deep cleaned at regular intervals

The food is not good. The main flaw which I found was that the tomato chutney is flavoured with tamarind which is one of the worst things.

Great food, but I somehow feel they have got their Math wrong.Theres a lot of publicity being made by this restaurant chain regarding their Quick Lunch and other newly introduced budget food. Im one of their regulars when it comes to South Indian food.Out of curiosity I ordered a Quick Lunch take away today.Thankfully its the same great quality & taste.But what surprised me was the quantity 🤔 of food.There were hardly few spoonfuls of Sambar rice, Lemon rice and some curd rice. There was a small sachet containing lemon pickle and also a mini container having some green chutney.The regular potato chips were missing (usually provided with sambar rice).I feel a person with good appetite would need at least three times that quantity. Me being a sparse eater too, didnt find it sufficient 😑I was charged ₹55 for the food & ₹15 packing charge (almost 30%) .Well, I guess its difficult to be pocket friendly and maintain quality (and quantity, in this case) at the same time!Found this review useful? This is a chain of south indian restaurant.Here you will get almost every south indian dish like dosa, rost, vadai etc. I had dosa and vadai here. The sambhar was same as usual, you get in every south indian restaurant but the vadai was little bit different in taste but it was awesome. The place is also not much expensive.

Most of the people used to choose Saravana Bhavan. It is one of the best vegetarian Restaurants in Tamilnadu. Saravana Bhavan is a brand. You can get best south Indian foods here. You can find more varieties of foods here. Maintenance and service is also good. I can choose this hotel mainly because of fast service.

They have sufficient number of vegetarian menu, including almost all kind of South Indian dishes. I’ve tried Vegetarian Biriyani, Idly, Dosa, Chapati & few more dishes. I found everything fresh delicious. I found one thing very interesting which is they don’t like wasting water and tissue paper. Price is reasonable and their service is pleasant.
