I have very fond memories of this hall. I was in Std.XI and had enrolled for a correspondence course for IIT through Brilliant Tutorials. They had arranged a 2 day contact class programme in this hall. Several professors cleared the students doubts and gave us valuable advice. The professors explained difficult topics very well. Unfortunately I didnt clear the IIT entrance. This was in 1993.

This is an ancient Carnatic music Hall which has witnessed many a legendary musician perform between its four walls.Sadly the place has seen no improvement since its inception.On the other hand, concerts there tend to be rather intimate and cosy affairs as the capacity is quite small.

I attended an event in the small hall upstairs for the Chennai fine arts concert series. Not a bad space for a small concert or other event. The sound was not great in the room though.

Lovely place for sentimental fools like me who think of all the greats who have sung in this place. As a hall its less than perfect no lift, moulded chairs and a half hearted attempt to modernise it with Air conditioning. Frankly, I feel it should be totally renovated or just left as it was in the 80s, with minimal changes in the interest of cleanliness thats all. Right now, it feels like trying to add pizza on a banana leaf as part of the muhurtham menu!

The hall was pretty small. May it can accommodate about 75 people. But, the accoustics of the hall was very nice inspite of being small

Simple. Compact. Could be reached by bus , EMU ( Neat Thirumylai Railway station ). Now Air conditioned. Rest Rooms could be better . Thanks

I visited for a cultural function @first floor....was a decent hall and good for small functions and events...bathroom was clean..less parking space inside...need to park outside

A sombre and quiet place with a lot of legacy, the library is a treasure house. Ideal place for small concerts and discussions

It is fairly easy to find, right opposite to Nalli. The hall is quite large with good view of the stage from all angles. The air conditioners work intermittently. It can get quite hot in the summers. The only drawback is the lack of good sanitation.

Air conditioned hall with a decent capacity to accommodate 150-170 people but lacks proper toilets or washrooms. Got a reasonable space for 2 wheeler parking

Economic training hall in Luz Mylapore but not with good amenities.

Hall acoustics is good because of mics .. Kindly look in to Audio and take care.. The hall is very good for music concerts..

An old building next to the mylapore.club.the renowned sastry hall library is in the ground floor.the hall where conserts ,talks etc are held.it needs a.lot.of improvements are needed to make it awstheticaly and acoustically good.

Amazing heritage structure. So cool and pleasant inside.

Good library and first floor for music programs

Unique place above a reading room. Free concerts by top musicians, attended by extremely knowledgeable, but not rich, local people, willing to sit on uncomfortable chairs or even on the floor for 2-3 hours.

Comfortable location and the Saxophone Concert of Mr G Ramanathan was very good .

Cosy little hall for small concerts

Hall is big and comfortable. But restrooms are pathetic. I used to attend classes there. It is on the first floor of Rahane library.

Basic hall with minimum facilities. Not well maintained. The main adavantage of this hall is its location which is central and easy to reach.

This is the place where many classes of Sri Ram coaching points are conducted. Many well known facilities like Deepak Pandian and Aneesh Noor Mohammed take classes for CA inter and CA final in this hall. The hall can hold approximately 200-250 persons, but approximately 300 students are usually seated here for the clases
