The Thali Spread is Huge with plenty of accomplishments. The Waiter named Vasanth took great care of everyone of us and treated with great food. Dont Miss this place if you love Andhra food.

Spicy food.. best place for anyone in luv with spices, like my husband. I went to this place with my team for lunch. Everyone loved the food. Their gongura chicken is my favourite in their menu. Their elaneer payasam was also a must try after the spicy treat.

Overall: very bad serviceFirst they didnt serve all the food we ordered. Didnt even bother to serve water and refill when needed. We were made to wait for a very long time. when we raised concerns about delay in serving, they couldnt care less and unapologetic. Service was so bad that it had ruined my whole weekend vibe.

Its a nice place with a warm interior design and shades of color. It is basically a restaurant which serves Andhra cuisine. Parking is not a problem, its within the building. Take the lift and its in the 2nd floor. Its not much crowded but not free as well. Staffs are all with mask and the place looks clean.We went for dinner. Started with chicken starter, main course as Mutton chukka biryani, steamed rice, fish gravy and at last Golisoda.All the food served was very tasty. Andhra cuisine is known for being spicy and yes it was. Quality of the food is maintained with a good quantity to share. Service was also quick. Friendly staffs and good customer service. Good place to have good food.

Pulusu (meaning juice of tamarind) is a fine place to experience traditional Andhra style food. For those who are not accustomed to spicy food, be forewarned that you might find the food here to be extremely spicy. So try ordering a beverage that would pair well with your food. The restaurant itself is located on the top floor of the building, with parking facility available below. The food however is very delicious and definitely worth the cost. Online payment facility is available too.

People who like spicy South Indian food can go for it.Food will be served in Earthen vessels! It is the main source of attraction.

Finally a place where I can get delicious Biryani in Chennai. This is not a Hyderabadi restaurant, hence expect more kinds of biryani from here. Price is around 270 on an average for a biryani.

One of the worst experiences in Andhra meal restaurants.This time it was a meeting with my longtime colleague and friend.He’s from Guntur so I brought him here thinking typical Andhra meals would be served.To his surprise the taste was no where near “Andhra” mess.Another thing I noticed that the staff really did not want to serve customers who just order a meal.

Very bad food. All those who say its Andhra food and so its spicy havent tasted authentic Andhra food for sure. Yes, Andhra cuisine is spicy but its not only spicy. There are so many other flavors that are in play in Andhra cuisine for example tanginess in a Gongura.This place is only a over dose of spiciness (Karam ) and nothing else at all. Ordered 2 different varieties of biriyani and both tasted exactly the same. Even the Gongura biriyani had zero flavor and a overload of spiciness.Plus they charge extra which is over and above MRP on water bottle and then charge GST over and above it.Best to avoid this place.

Visited this place with my friends for afternoon lunch. Place was little crowded but got a table after 10 mins wait. Food is really awesome best andhra cuisine in city i would say. Spice was really good non veg meals was of good quantity and taste. Must visit place for food lovers.

No hospitality at all .. very rude pple attending clients . Booked table in advance and came to the place , we were made to wait for about 20 minutes and when we ordered food it took a whole 25 minutes to come to our table . Taste is good but service is very badd . Simply arrogant . And there is one guy , cant remember is name a bit tall n fair guy , so much arrogance is not good at all .

Nice Ambience, didnt find much difference in the Meals side, bit Expensive for the food provided by the restaurant. Service personnel was excellent they did their Job well. Rest room needs some attention, not expected the condition of it. Parking space is very limited but the restaurant is in side street we can manage to park in this locality. For the price we can visit much better restaurant than this restaurant

Tried the pulusu restaurant in annanagar today. Heard many great reviews about it. I felt that it was a bit of a let down. Biryani was over by 9pm itself :( Settled with pulusu special dosa (stuffed Kari dosa) , panchavarna dosa, rayalseema chicken , prawns .The quantity was very less for the price and the taste was average. The main spice punch which would be there in an Andhra restaurant was missing here.The service was also not so great. The ambience is what makes this restaurant to stand out I guess. Loved the ambience.. 🤩

Bill No: 5054The service is really bad . We ordered veg special meals, non veg special meals and sangati Kodi pulusu combo for takeaway. In menu, it was mentioned that the Kodi pulusu sangati combo includes sangati, pulusu , chilli, onion , curd and sweet. But when I checked , there was no chilli, onion , curd and sweet where they were charging the same amount. When I asked them about this , they said its only for dine in even though they were charging the same amount. In fact , the guy didnt even know there combo included sweets, curd, chilli and onion . I recommend everyone to check the takeaway orders before leaving. I had really bad experience. 👎👎

Awesome place to pick the menu, order and savor the telugu styled food for brunch typically ...their thalis/ meals are so widely spread for one need to have an appetite to taste each of their pulusu, thokku ..ending it with a payasam or with their desserts on the list ....Ragi Sangati which is comes with the meal or separately went very well with their chicken pulusu and their vegetable Bendakkai thokku...vanjaram fry was rightly marinated spicily..and their gongura mutton was equally good.

Just now ordered gongura chicken biryani on swiggy .. Worst taste.. biryani is very spicy and tasteless. I dont think biryani is fresh.. Chicken is stale and tasteless and spicy. For a while i couldnt recognise if it was really gongura chicken biryani or not.. since there was no taste.. also its very costly.. and its not worth it.. dont know how the taste would be if we have in the restaurant.. previously i ordered chicken dum biryani .. it was ok.. the price we pay is not worth it..

I have been visiting pulusu since they opened they restaurant. They have progressed by leaps in bounds in terms of quality of food and service. Another important point restaurant all are spicy dishes all these for a very reasonable price only .the ambience lighting and air conditioning is very good .and interior work is very great . I enjoyed my birthday party here very much . One of the best place in Anna nagar .

Thali costs around Rs.210 but not worthy at allOrdered mutton sukka,nethili fish & squid fry.Mutton sukka was smallest of portions ever seen. Andhra cuisine happens to b great. But pulusu was hands down.

Polite and professional attitude. I had avakai chicken briyani ,the taste is unique and worth for the price, they serve with more chicken pieces and I loved the taste of fried onions with the briyani.

Poor quality of food, how did this place, Pulusu, survived so far masquerading as ‘authentic’ Andhra food is beyond my imagination....Gongura Mamsam is sour & need to be sent to kitchen for rectification .... Avakkai Biryani just passed muster, Pepper Biryani is just loads of ‘kaaram’ (chillie). Rest of the food is nothing to talk about & its way too expensive for the quantity on offer. The wash basin is just one unit, dirty with used tissues strewn all around. Chennai can do well not to have such masquerading eating places!!!

Pulusu is a restaurant version of an Andhra Mess, I felt that fried starters (Vepudu) were really good & for main course I ordered Kodi (Chicken) Pulao, which is basically a Chicken Mandi Biriyani, I totally enjoyed the Kodi Pulao along with side dishes Vanjaram Tawa Fish Fry & Mutton Chukka. But when it comes to Veg Menu, Starters are really good, but the special veg meals for main course is average, as the white rice is too heavy (potentially due to more soda content in it) for one person to consume & other dishes are neither too bad or good.So definitely a great place for Non-Veg lovers, but not so much for vegetarians.
