Billiard room, Table Tennis room, Badminton court, Basketball court, football ground, TV room, Computer room, Music room are there in the hostel. Drinking water is always available in each corridor.Monkeys can come inside room and destroy everything if you are not careful enough.**All residents are Ph.D scholars, so almost no shared rooms.

Pool (for snooker 🎱 and billiards) is a major attraction.

Awesome place for living with big rooms around greenery and animals. Facilities are enough inside hostel even house keeping is well maintained.

Krishna hostel, the first hostel to be constructed in iit madras, allows one to live as close to nature as possible. Every room has a balcony area and two large windows. With the construction of a new mess facility, Nilgiri, this now is the ideal place for a student to live.Though the frequently visiting monkeys may freak you out occationally with their activities of topling a dustbin and sreading the garbage all over the place and entering your room to steal eatables, you will come to peace with them over time.The large number of trees, a soothing breeze is a unfailing promise which makes you forget all the disadvantages of the hostel.The hostel has facilities of a reading room with a large collection of books, a TV room, a guest room for the parents of the students, sporting equipment and a large unused basket ball court.

Krishna Hostel is one of the two oldest hostel. This hostel is mainly for PhD students. It has one big ground for football and cricket, one ground for volley and one for badminton. It also has TV room, music room, library, table tennis room and one mess (Krishna Mess) attached with the hostel. The environment is very nice with very little problems related to its age. This hostel is located at one corner of the campus and very near to Krishna gate.
