I rate the place just for the restaurant! Ive stayed here with friends before but then... for a stay it should be a ok place. Recently we (friends along with family) planned for a buffet Dinner here. The buffet cost was comparable so we chose to have the dinner here instead of the MGM Beach Resort where I was staying. Its a costly affair in the resort. The food here is delicious and had a touch of home food which everyone liked. Also they served good varieties and almost every dish was good. On top of it, the deserts too were delicious! Ill alway choose this place again if I plan for a buffet. They do have equal numbers of veg and non-veg food so that everyone gets their choice of food. Thanks for reading!

Where do I start to share my awful experience at this tiny resort? First thing first... Food is of great importance at any resort and the options in Veg were not great. Also the service is not upto mark especially the guy named Karthik (I guess he is the staff supervisor), he has a NO for everything and I found him to be rude... The door lock is broken and u hv to keep turning the keys for it to latch, basis ur luck. The water tap in bathroom to control shower vs tap is also broken and needs to pull with all ur might to set up hot water... A vendor who supplied water to the resort bruised his mini truck against my car and the resort folks feigned negligence... Awful place not worth repeat...

I have planned for a stay during weekend. I have enquired calling the resort two days before booking they said pool will be opened by weekend. Based on that I have booked. But on arrival time they said that they didnt get permission to open. Then why giving false information? BIG DISAPPOINTMENT .Apart from that stay was good, Room was clean and complimentary buffet breakfast was nice

Rooms were spacious, clean & neat. Compliment breakfast was also good in taste. Buffet was bit costly for both veg & non-veg.

From start of check-in to check-ou, everything was extraordinary. Especially the services was vera level. we missed out some items in room while checkout. they have informed us and handover that wonderful. totally everything awesome.food and location was eye catching. and the main thing Candle light restaurant theme. they will arrange everything for our requirement.

Stayed at suit room. Very spacious but design lacked modern element. Staff behaviour was good and the complementary buffet breakfast was also good. Its a good space to visit with family. Well maintained. Table tennis table, football and cricket bats are available there. Though no big play grounds are available, you can have fun playing with these on the grass.

Went for a vegetarian lunch there at around 2:30 pm in the afternoon with family in the open air dining area. Good ambience. The staff, right from the security guard till the waiters in the restaurant were polite. Food was good. Ordered veg biriyani, panneer kumar, stuffed kulcha, Malabar paratha. All were good. Kids enjoyed the open air dining.

Breakfast selections in this place was the usual South Indian fare however dinner had some interesting options. We loved the Sodhi Iddly which is basically a coconut stew popular in Sri Lanka and Thirunalveli. Appams, coffee and Podi iddly were decent.

This place is amazing for spending lesuire timexwith family, friends or even business meet. In general, food resorts charge bit hefty on food items.

It was great experience altogether. Everything was fine but as per as concerned rates are pretty much high for the foods they serve maybe it becoz a resort. I have asked them to decorate the room for my anniversary surprise to my wife they did an amazing job. It was so good they decorated it.

One of the best resorts in Chennai. The best part was the professional and friendly staff. The rooms and environmentally is so nice, clean and calm. You will find a table tennis court, carrom boards in each block and volleyball court. Buffet in breakfast, lunch, and dinner is there with altered food items every day. For outsiders, they arrange buffets only on weekends @600+tax. The swimming pool also available and they maintain it daily. For outsiders, the pool is available @200 approx per hour. They have a nice conference room for 40 people. You can reach this place by share auto or can book an ola or uber.

The place is great, clean rooms and toilets. The swimming pool was clean and the food was very good. The best was the staffs were very friendly and helpful from the reception, to the banquet staff, at the restaurant and the security guards too. The house keeping staff were so honest that a team member had left his Gold and silver ring in the room and had checked out. The staff coordinated with the front office and informed us of the same and returned it back to us safely. It was a wonderful time at the MGM EAST WOODS. Thank all for the hospitality. Looking at the review and the last minute booking I choose this place for 2 nights to stay.let me start off with whats good about this place.1. Swimming pool2. small lawn.3. ambiance.4. Good restaurant staffsThe staff at the reception (name starts with A) wasnt rude however his way of handling the customer was not really appreciatable. Twice he literally banged the phone while talking and making irritating faces when questions asked wasnt good.The building is too old and they have tried their best to maintain it however not a good value for money spent.The condition of the room was not great, bathroom fittings are rusted and no shower if u want to use hot water (funny rite).They have low roof inside the bathroom and geyser outlet is below the shower line and its obvious you wont get water flow on the shower.When I stay at a hotel or resort, I expect something more than my home and this was way below it.The stay was not really great as it was just 2 nights stay, didnt really worry about getting the room changed.If you are looking for a good and little posh stay then this is not the place.

MGM East woods - clean, and decent boutique resort in ECR. The property is well-maintained and feautured with attractive themes, well manicured lawns, and a swimming pool. The staff are very much courteous and the restaurant serves good and tasty food with wide menu options

The place is located on the ECR main road and near to VGP theme park. This resort is not on the seaside.Rooms are clean and neatly maintained. Swimming pool is also clean and well maintained. Breakfast is complimentary. The taste of the food needs to be improved. There is no separate play area for kids and also for outdoor games. Only indoor games such as TT, carrom are present.

Overall a good place to stay.. Rooms were spacious and neatly maintained. Service too was superb. Food was excellent. lunch and dinner buffet had variety items and not too overpriced. A small swimming pool was maintained well.. Small area for badminton and an indoor play area forTT and chess also included.

I had free coupons from max for 2 of us and for our son we got the day coupons from the front desk on 20th April.. It was a hot sunny day... I rated this as a 2 star because1. Its pretty compact and not a place to do anything much here..2. Restaurant is open air kind and when its sunny esp Chennai summers, its hard to even have the meal .3. Not many gaming options..4. It was so hot that I ended up sitting in the reception area which was the only available ac waiting area for everyone visiting for the day.. even here, I would say that the ACS hardly worked... .5. We left the place without doing much here within an hour or so without even having the meal....Only pros was that the resort was clean.thats my experience of the resort.Goodluck

MGM Eastwoods is not so far from the city. its just opposite to the VGP in the ECR road.No beach access. Very near to the road. escape from City Life is slightly missing. more trees or some shade will help to swim more. Pool is not private to the people who stays in the resort. its open to the public in an hourly basis. games like shuttle, table tennis, volley ball ,Carom can be played.Food - Breakfast will be good in the weekend not on weekdays. lunch and dinner not so great. 3/5 is my rating.

Overall a very good stay at MGM Eastwoods. The resort is on main highway. its very very close to VGP universal kingdom hardly 500m.Regarding the services at hotel, its also very good. Check in and check-out were very fast. All requests were fulfilled in time. All staff are very descent and helpful.Swimming pool is also very neat and clean.well maintained.Regarding food, its very good.The resort is highly recommended for families 😊.

Mgm Eastwood is located right on the ECR Road next to VGP. we had gone for a leaders meet over there.PROs---++---1)They have a good pool with a staff manning it full time (a very polite and helpful staff).2)The restaurant virundhu was aestheticaly designed and was pleasing to eyes.3)They have a good lawn also for playing shuttle, football etc.4)Buffet was good and with lots of variety food5)near by pool facility for sitting/resting/sunbathing is available6)facility for playing TT with board,bat and ball are availableCONs---------1)The mini hall we used seemed to look a bit older. But A/C was working fine so experience was good only.2) The table tennis bat was looking oldOverall------------Very much delighted with the experience.It was very good worth for money.

I stayed one night and a day (16 family members in 4 Rooms) in March 2018 for a Virundu to my sister-in-laws Son who got married in Feb 18. Its Very Good Atmoshpere and good services. And some of the comments may help you to improve further to attract more guests. Also prices to be reduced those who are booking directly instead of online.ROOMS: Rooms are good we took 4 rooms, Room no 301 is small but charged the same rate of Delux room. At lawn, during the evening time mosquitoes and flies are disturbing while relaxingFOOD (B/F) : Excellent breakfast. Suggestion Menu card to be displayed at the entrance which will help for the guest, who cant missout the itemsFOOD ( L/D) : Same Menu for Lunch & Dinner (except a minor difference in dessert.) Ice cream should be in two flavors but only one common is there and also toppings to be provided for ice cream to make a fantastic dessert. Briyani is the sole decider for the entire Lunch or dinner or party, to be improved and M pieces are very less and because of that we have to search by digging.SWIMMING POOL: Excellent but small and Many restrictions are for ladies which is irritating. Before restricting management has to do the following:Suggestions: A separate area for ladies to be earmarked, atleast for the room stayers. And for ladies Head cover and other restrictions/conditional items (cloth) to be provided after taking caution deposit which is refundable or adjusted while checking out. Placards or board to be displayed about the restictions and rules & regulations which is missing, instead menu board for some items is kept

Recently I visited this resort with childrenSwimming pool is smaller and allowed for 1 hourThe main disadvantage is there is no games offered. So People thinking to take their kids is not recommended which makes them boring soonThe food items are good but like any buffet too much masala added which makes us to take few food.The environment is clean and calm. This may suitable for the business people who need calm place to spend time.

It is an excellent outing place for a day. The day outing package for 15 guests is provided with an AC Hall. One can enjoy the swimming pool or play outdoor games like cricket, shuttle, frisbee etc. Table Tennis is also available. Food is also good. Restaurant and kitchen were clean and hygienic. Taste of the food was also good. Most importantly the service was excellent. Ajay (Captain), Vinod and Jagat are very courteous and always keen to help.

Worst place ever visited. Went there on 11th May 2019 using Max Holiyays voucher. Its not an day outing, it should be called as day sweating. I dont know on what basis it is called as an resort. Nowhere u will find that environment. Very very small property where there is nothing available for entertainment. Being a Saturday, we found many families visiting that site (i dont like to call it as resort) with same Max vouchers. Inspite of knowing the expected count on an weekend, no proper arrangements were made. U will find one TT, one set of shuttle, one swing and 2 sets of carrom boards, which are expected to be utilised by a huge crowd. No enough chairs were arranged for the groups to sit or spend time. Horrible site and worst worst experience. Given buffet lunch was also average and it was arranged in an open restaurant during afternoon 1pm, where u end up wiping ur sweat instead of enjoying ur food or so called day outing.

In ECR, this hotel price is very nominal. Stay was pleasant. Room service is very fast. Night lighting in garden is good.

Its a small sized property. The service and food were good. The pool was clean and hygienic, but a bit small. We went for a day package. Not many activities to spend the whole day. Overall a pleasant experience
