If you are new to Chennai and need to travel with in the city limits and if u want to reach airport from the major locations u can catch the metro train which will take u faster with rich experience .Compared Ola ,Uber etc metro charges less.Few points about metro.1.Timings 5:30 am to 10 pm (Monday to Saturday) & Sunday 8:30 am to 10 pm is what the customer care said to me .2.You can carry upto 15 kg of Baggage .3. Highest price of normal class ticket is 50 rs and special class is double the normal fare.4.You can find automated vending machines of Pepsi ,where u can get snacks and softdrinks.5. Rest rooms.6.wheel chair access.7.ATM8.Smart cards to travel in metro which offers 5% discount on all ur rides.Overall friendly staff and good experience with Chennai Metro train.

It is really a boon for Chennai. Hazle free travel and away from congested road traffic. Joyfull ride and you can zip through Nandanam to Airport in 18 mts. Unbelievable. Once all the lines are connected it will be easy travel for people. Great work CMRL.

This office and also the service of metro train is excellent. This serves a lot of passengers. It has made the travel much easy and comfortable for all the travellers. We can predict the time and schedule all ours plan very much clear while travelling in metro. Only thing to be considered is, the cost of travel is too high. It has to be sure reduced. People Cant afford this much. Really too much of cost.

Since we had to do an implant training we visited this place. CMRL office was so clean, well built and the staff was so good.

Absolutely awesome maintenance and friendly staff. At the time of writing this review trains are operational on airport route to little mount and on green line from St thomas mount thro CMBT (bus terminus) until Nehru park. On blue line operational until little mount. Great to see a lot of women run the station operations, ticket counters and the trains too😊 The network has to expand and prices adjusted/lowered a bit,so patronage is improved.

I have been commuting through this for the past one and a half years... Easiest way of commute. Its better to choose if you want to keep you away from traffic...As of now.. They have started railway feeder services at certain metro station at flat price of Rs. 10 and Rs. 15... But kinda disappointment is that Peak Hour Servicing has been stopped from the month of September.. So the people who were commuting daily through Metro to their office or any work places has been facing a unlikely rush during peek hours...It would be more better if they bring back Peek hour Servicing... Nowadays most of the trains are getting repaired for few minutes... Earlier it will be on time and will never get disrupted

Great travel facility in Chennai, the maintanence is very good. Best way to travel within Chennai but not every areas are covered under metro route. The cost is bit high, can reduce the cost to attract more passengers.

Good infrastructure

Similar to other metros of India, Chennai metro is a good option to travel. Once, the other phases also get completed, it will be much more useful as it would connect all parts of the city. As of now, the connectivity is quite limited. Journey in metro is quite comfortable.

CMRL is excellent. There is scope for improvement but they are up with the very best. I have a suggestion. The pillars of the CMRL is full of posters. If CMRL converts these pillars into a vertical green wall it will be wonderful but it has to be maintained well.

Good office space. Needs to be maintained properly. Surroundings are dusty.

Typical government office and people whether they are permanent or contract are loitering here and there.

Excellent. As only limited routes are available for now, once all routes are cleared, it would be more easy for the commuters to commute across the city without any traffic hassle. Stations and trains are also well maintained. Staffs are also polite. Hope they maintain the same standard.

The place is well maintained, looks clean. Best way to commute quick. 🚆 Timings and schedule board and announcements were useful too. Travel cards are also available.

A great facility to chennai city is Chennai Metro rail, it is the state of art design and worthy project for the future of chennaites... its connecting all major locations of city and all forms of transportation like air, train and bus. Superb thing to have as a metropolitan.

Very good facility in Chennai to save time in reaching places.It would be lot better once we have the balance sections Little mount to Central and Nehru Park to Central.By this, more people can avail Metro services.Also public will consider not taking their private vehicles in Metro served areas. Less pollution, less cost.One more thing CMRL to consider is extend working hours of trains at least between 5.30AM to 11PM . Currently its between 6AM and 10PM starring at origin.

Now fare for Metro Rail in Chennai seems to be little bit high compared to Bangalore or Delhi. If the fare is reduced up to some extent more people will travel in Chennai Metro and return on investment also will be improved. Instead of running the trains empty (with high fare) more passengers can be attracted towards Metro trains with reasonable fare. CMRL Management and State Government has to think and act.

Ive had great experience there. It was my first time there. Loved the premises. I wondered on all the working staffs, theyre all decent and they converse in English. Thats a fantastic thing. Theyre very kind. About the Train, it was clean and good. Its Air Conditioned ofcourse. You get precised wait time for the train to reach the stations. You can either purchase membership card or you can do single tickets. Facilities like Water and Comforts were there. Cafe Day Express are there for each and every station. 20 Rupees per coffee. So thats it. Id rate 4.5/5.

The travel time is very quick. The air conditions in the station and inside the train is very comfortable. If the facility is offered for more routes in chennai it will be great.

Travelled in chennai metro for the first time. It was really nice.The pros are: It is built awesome.Very neatly maintained(both station and trains).Travelling via metro in chennai city in this summer is fast and not tiresome.The cons are: As many says, it would be expensive for the average income people.The alarming sound while opening and closing of the doors are little aching while we are inside the train.

Metro is the best option for travel in Chennai and its surroundings. Road is the worst option. Sub Urban railway and Chennai metro is the best in Chennai.trains from airport start at 8on Sunday and 7on other days.

Hi today i have bitter experience faced on little mount metro station car parking. In this car parking area they are not allowing the car as per rules.Today i went to park my car their,but they told parking is full, while talking with them ,they allow two cars to park inside. If who gave the tips and known persons they allowing to park otherwise they r not allowed. even they allowed to outside of entrance parking place also. i asked to them but they told if you want to complaint do it. but i dont see any complaint box there. so just i informed customercare and floor supervisor Mr.Karunakaran. kindly take care public service.

Metro rail is a mass rapid transit system.better connectivity, its better than other mode of transport to save time and safety except cost.otherwise excellent.

Chennai metro department provided a good facility and its very help Full for us even the station is fully secured with cameras and I am very happy to travel in the metro even I love traveling in metro than the local trains

Compared to Delhi metro, ticket counter is very very slow. Passengers require walk over bridge to cross Poonamallee high road. same with Alandur. Any way it is a good beginning with poor planning. Require glass screen at least in Airport to prevent any mishap. Wanted to give Five star but at present not more than 3.

#letsguideChennai Metro.An excellent rapid Transport organization with dedicated staff.The stations are kept clean and well maintained.The only observation I had at Koyamedu station is that, the drinking water point where there is no provision for the water outlet. Due to this while taking water, the spill falls on floor and the floor trains wet and its hazardous as passengers may trip and fall.Kindly look for some alternativeto keep floor dry.

Feeder service is very horrible. I reached thirumangalam station within 15mins from ekkattuthangal, but feeder service taking 30 mins from thirumangalam to Padi. CMRL using normal share auto drivers so they behaving like a normal share auto drivers.

Very high Expansive in Chennai matro... Other metro cities charged maximum 40 rupees... But Chennai only minimum charged for 40 rupees .wat a stupid CMRL😔

I have travelled AG dms to Airport. FIrst I must thank the laborers who worked to achieve this project.More sign boards is required. Still the old boards not replaced yet. Does the train connected to St.thomas mount station?
